Just wanted to say hi and let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your place before Thanksgiving. It was the perfect place for us and an easy drive for my dad and brother to come join us. The girls loved Macy and the cows, calves, goats and chickens!!
Hope you all have a safe and wonderful Christmas!!
I needed to book a property last minute (day of) for 8 people and Jennifer responded in a matter of minutes and was over the top accommodating. The house is large, clean and very comfortable, 10 minutes to downtown Knoxville but far enough away to enjoy a quiet country setting where you can stargaze . My boys absolutely loved being able to help bottle feed the calves every night and see the other animals graze on the nearby farm. We are a military family and use VRBO for most of our travels, we have always had good experiences with the places we have rented, BUT THIS HAS BEEN THE BEST EXPERIENCE THUSFAR! Stop looking at nearby places, this is the best VRBO around Knoxville.
The house is easy to find and offers plenty of parking in the driveway. The yard is large and sloping and has several nice shade trees in the front. You can wander down the hill to go see the goats, chickens, and cattle.
The house is very clean and roomier than we expected. You enter into the living room which is quite large and can easily fit all those in your group. What was once a dining room in between the living and kitchen is essentially a fourth bedroom, with its sleeper sofa and doors than can close it off. The kitchen is functional, but note that it doesn't have a dishwasher. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms are down the hall on the other side of the house. The bathrooms both function perfectly.
There is a forty-something inch TV in the living room with Comcast cable that offers a pretty extensive list of channels. The Wifi internet worked and was faster than I would expect given the rural location of the house.
There is a Weigel's gas station just two minutes away for convenience store items, and it's only 10-15 minutes to the river in Knoxville.
This easily beats staying in any of the hotels in the area! Thanks for offering it!
House was comfortable. Enough room for myself and husband and daughter
The farm was a great choice for my family. We were in Knoxville for a family wedding/reunion and the location was close and easy to reach for all. The grandkids had a great time playing in the front yard and of course seeing the goats and chickens. Fresh eggs were a big hit. Especially since you buy them off the front porch. It gave us all room to spread out and a place to get away from the madness that weddings create.
We very much enjoyed our stay. Location was great. The owners thought of everything we could possibly need and were always available to answer questions if we had any.
We stayed at this house for 2 weeks, and I must say, it was a great experience. The owners are fantastic and easy to work with, and they really went out of their way to accommodate us and made our stay very memorable.
It was also a lot of fun to see an actual working farm. The owners were extremely nice, and our daughter got a huge thrill out of seeing the animals up close and helping feed them as well.
Overall, it was a very positive experience, one that we cannot recommend enough. Should we ever have need to stay out in Tennessee again, the price farm will be our first choice!
