About The Owner

We are a family of 4 based in Australia. We first visited and fell in love with Breckenridge in 1998 whilst living in the US. After we moved back to Australia we came back here for our honeymoon and have been coming back ever since. As soon as our children were old enough to make the journey, we introduced them to the wonderfulness that is Breckenridge and now they are as captured by its charms as we were. In buying this beautiful home we hope they in turn will bring their children here in the future.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2012

Why The Owner chose Breckenridge

Having rented this wonderfully comfortable mountain home on two previous occasions, when we found out it was for sale during our stay in 2012, we knew it was for us and feel very lucky to have been able to purchase it. The house is a perfect size for several families or extended family groups and provides a real on mountain experience, surrounded by lodgepole pines, wildlife and a view of the slopes. The location is wonderful for families with children with easy green run ski-in ski-out access and the base of Peak 8, the Super Chairs and the Breckenridge Ski School within minutes of the house.

What makes this cabin unique

In addition to its wonderful location, our cabin has beautifully comfortable beds and furnishings. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you will need and dining and living areas are inviting and comfortable for relaxing family evenings together. Sitting in the private hot tub after a great family day on the slopes and looking out onto the surrounding pine and the snowman that we just made with the children ... pure happiness!

Best House in Breckenridge

  • 5 of 5

My family and I went out to Breckenridge for a week and stayed in this fabulous house. There were five adults and three children. This house has everything you could ask for and more. We got snow 5 out of 7 days which allowed us to ski right back to the front door. Just a short walk to the slopes in the morning was perfect. We cooked every meal lunch and dinner and did not go to one restaurant while we were there, it was like being at home. The beds are super comfortable and both living rooms were very warm and cozy. The hot tub at the end of the day was well needed. There is fire pit outside to do s'mores and sit around and tell stories. The neighborhood fox was a big hit for us as he would come visit us everyday at 5 or so. I could go on and on about The Cabin. Do yourself a favor and book this place, you will not be disappointed and will want to book again. Thanks for opening your home to us and look forward to next year!!

Charm topped by comfort

  • 5 of 5

The homeowners have thought of every possible need...and gone above and beyond with extravagances. The kitchen supplies, the bedding, bathroom towels, even the entertainment equipment...everything was high quality and well cared for. They win the award for best, warmest, most comfortable beds ever!

Our family of seven stayed in the cabin in early March. We found it to be exactly as advertised!

  • 5 of 5

My Husband and grown children plus one 2 year old grandson stayed at the cabin. The owner has thought of everything for your stay. Beautiful and cozy, making our visit feel like home. The Kids loved getting up in the morning and heading straight to the slopes 3 houses down. They would ski back around 4:20 for relaxation in the hot tub, hot meal out of the crock pot and then a night of pool and cocktails. One of the highlights for us was the 2 visits from the neighborhood fox. Thanks again for sharing your home. I highly recommend this home for your up and coming visit.

The Cabin t Breckenridge - fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Cabin was marvelous. All the kitchen appliances, dishes, glassware, pots and pans served us well. Two coffee pots were used daily. The welcome gift was so appreciated. We loved the entrance to remove ski gear and wet boots and store jackets, hats and gloves. WII Dancing was our entertainment one night for our 7 year old versus each adult. (adults won) Several games entertained the kids. Adults enjoyed the pool table. We fixed smores then jumped in the hot tub another night. We appreciate the guidance to ski rental, restaurants and other close-by features. We enjoyed a sunset sleigh ride and dinner. All 3 kids and one adult who had never skied, enjoyed their lessons and learned to ski. The kids loved to play in the snow. Several evenings we saw a red fox trotting around the cabin. Two of the kids went home with stuffed foxes. Our 2 daughters loved the skiing. With 9 of us in the unit everyone had their own space, and beds on the 3 floors worked very well. Dave was not able to ski this year but drove some members of our group to the end of the road, (Trygve's run), others to the ski school, and picked up as needed. He was busy and happy seeing all the activity. We were happy to have 2 four-wheel drive vehicles to deal with the snow and ice during the week.

Thanks for a wonderful vacation,

Kathy and Dave Spaulding

Owner's Response: Thank you! We loved hearing all the different ways your family enjoyed staying at the cabin. It sounds like you had a fabulous get together and really managed to pack so many great experiences into your stay. The location of the cabin does make for a wonderful mountain adventure with abundant wildlife and fun things to do right outside the door when you are not on the slopes, and with that comes the practicalities of mountain life, so we especially thank you for mentioning the importance of having a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Please know that we would love to welcome you all back!

Wonderful cabin

  • 5 of 5

Our two families loved this cabin! The location on peak 8 was perfect - very close to the fun park for summer activities, while having plenty of privacy on the mountain. I'm sure it would be great for winter skiing as well. It was very well stocked and organized, and had a great outdoor patio area with a hot tub and fire pit.
