My name is Arpad Rastatter, I love to playing golf.
I bought this house in Sarasota because in my homeland Europe there is a short golfing season. In winter, there is snow and cold in Hungary, but Sarasota is ideal for golf all year round.
Arpad Rastatter purchased this house in 2009
Holiday House in Sarasota with own golf practice green and jacuzzi

Southgate area in Sarasota, Florida is a paradise for golfers wintertime. When there is cold and plenty of snow at home the conditions here are ideal to keep or even improve your golfing abilities.
The house is equipped with a 5-hole putting green in the backyard. There is a net for driving and chipping practice. It is a fun part of a garden party to organize a mini-championship among the guests thereby recruit new addicts for the golf.
There are 53 golf courses in the area, 23 of them is situated in the very Sarasota city. The nearest professional Golf Driving Range with 50 driving platforms is:
Evie's Golf Center
4735 Bee Ridge Road
Sarasota, FL 34233-1415
You can book your tee-time through the free WiFi connection of the house.
The golf courses cover the whole range of interest from the easy (so called executive ones) to the real hard ones, many of the hosted PGA competition. Sarasota is a golfing heaven, but the marvellous white sand on the Siesta Beach attracts visitors year-round!
We had a great time! This house located in an quiet residential area has all the amenities one could possibly need for any length of stay. It is comfortable for sleeping, eating hanging out and relaxing on the private back patio. Very clean! Close to shopping, golf course and beach. Recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in Sarasota on a low budget (not for someone who is looking for luxury). The owners are wonderful people, great to work with.
We will be back!
Nice pet friendly home with 6' high fences to allow your dog's the ability to run around. Perfect for a getaway to the West Coast of Florida. Plenty of room for our family of 5 plus one of our daughter's friends. All beds weren't even used. It has a great location and easy to reach the main drag with tons of shopping and restaurants.
So this house was very convenient and centrally located for us. The house was clean, the amenities were all good, there was plenty of room.
his property lacked was a water-view. but those have been priced out of our budget in recent years..and the drive is only 15 minutes to the incredible Siesta Key beach.
Christ blessing of enjoying ourselves.
We had a very pleasend stay at this place. The house was very clean, had all what we needed, including washer and dryer. The neighborhood is very quite and safe, closed to everything (beach, restaurants, malls and downtown Sarasota). The screened patio (overlooking the fenced backyard with a wonderfull old big tree) was the perfect place to start the day with a cup of coffee and a few deep breaths. The owner response was promt to our issue ( the internet went out). Definitelly would recomend to everybody who does not expect "champaine for a beer budget"!"
The only issue was the pullout bed/futon was broken which made it difficult at nighttime.
This is a nice little house located 15 minutes from the beaches, and is a large space nice for a group who wants a place to stay together after a day of fun in the sun. Beach chairs and towels are a plus and are provided. Nice kitchen which is perfect for making group meals, etc. The owners even left 2 bottles of wine for us to enjoy - a nice touch. The hot tub was a nice feature, but it was not actually hot - not sure why. Washer and dryer available too. However, you get what you pay for. There is a reason the resorts by the water and hotels in the area charge more.
The dead end street may not be "for everyone" - we found it a bit sketchy with broken down cars on the street. The beds and pillows are not of very good quality - basic hotels seem to be nicer. One toilet did not work, but I was able to fix it myself. The ice maker on the fridge does not work, so we needed to buy ice. Seems like a minor point, but I would suggest the owner supply toilet paper and garbage bags (seems like a no brainier).
Most importantly. The couch bed was completely broken (the metal was actually broken) so it was not available for sleeping our 8th person - who ended up sleeping on the couch in the family room. When we emailed the owner, he was out of the country, and actually did not speak very good English, so we are not sure if he understood our problem. He had his friend who looks after the place call me, but short of purchasing a new sofa bed, there was nothing they could do. They tried to tell me the 8th person could sleep on the blow up mattress, but while that would work for a 5 year old, not so good for a teenage girl who needs to sleep (by the way, the blow up mattress is really the qualify of an inflatable pool toy rather than a legit mattress). Regardless, no more than 7 can actually sleep here unless they sleep on the floor or the couch. I would suggest that the owner revise the listing to be more accurate (if we had shown up with our 9th person like we were supposed to - it would really have been an issue).
If you are not looking for fancy, just the basics, and not high quality beds, and a nice place for 7 to stay together at a very reasonable price, then this will work just fine. However, if you have a bigger group, or are expecting even basic hotel quality beds, I would consider alternatives.
