An updated BBQ area located poolside features stainless steel BBQ's just re-done AGAIN!!! in 2016, granite counter and gas burners; the outdoor tables and chairs also located poolside are ideal for dining 'al fresco' at sunset or under the stars with the warm tradewinds, swaying palms and the gentle sounds of the breaking surf!

Depending on the season it is not uncommon to wake up in the morning to brilliant rainbows, spot sea turtles bobbing in the water in front of our parklike grassy knoll and watch Humpback whales breaching through the ocean's blue canvas; all truly a breathtaking and awe-inspiring natural work of the Island's magical art.

This is our second home and it we are committed to keeping it clean, fresh and nicely appointed; we know you will enjoy it as much as our family, friends and of course as much as we do!

About John

We wanted a second home on Maui and thought why not? – let's make this a vacation home for others to enjoy as well! Kevin grew up partly in La Canada, California and partly in Hawaii on the island of Oahu in the Kahala area while his father was a cameraman on the original Hawaii Five-0. He is a professional photographer of 35 years as well as a Realtor/Partner with John and sister Marion in The Fairbanks Group at Coldwell Banker. Ray is from the mid-west 'Indiana' and although home base is now California it is even tough to keep him off Island!

John spent several years overseas in Germany with his family but calls Southern California his first love; he was raised a beach boy! Maintaining his successful real estate career in So Cal for more than 25 years (BTW - he will sell your house on the mainland and get you into a home in Maui; he decided it was time to begin a new life adventure!

So here we are...without pets; our second home does not allow them. Our first home is resplendent with them!

When not in our Kahana home, we live in Altadena, California close to Pasadena - home of the world famous Rose Parade and Rose Bowl and amazing architecture.

Why John chose Maui

Perfect location for our favorite restaurants in West Maui. Love the uniqueness of the property with only 16 units right on the water away from the hustle bustle of the big resorts. Would love to live here full-time someday! During 'Whale Season' the view is spectacular...you can almost feel them on our lanai! In addition we have a rack for Kayak storage that is exclusive for our home and available for your enjoyment!

Pleasantly Surprised

This condo exceeded my expectations in every way. The layout is perfect: spacious with bedrooms situated for maximum privacy. The décor is tasteful yet stylish and I wasn't at all embarrassed to have friends over for a BBQ. In addition, the condo came stocked with 6 or 8 beach chairs, 4 umbrellas, snorkel equipment/fins, toys for the little ones and body boards for the big kids. The lanai with the ocean view is perfect for brunch, lounging or catching a sunrise/sunset. It's situated with a view of the pool so I felt comfortable watching the kids from the comfort of the lanai. The complex itself is quiet and small, so you don't have that corporate "conglomerate" feel. It's VERY homey and quaint. And for the price point, I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants comfort and space without paying those crazy prices like in Wailea!

Location Location Location!

We had a wonderful 10-day stay here and the location was absolutely perfect! Practically a private beach for our family most days and a great place for our small children to play in the sand and water and you are only a 10 minute drive to Front Street in Lahaina. Thank you John for helping us along our way to plan the perfect stay, your guidance was so much appreciated! Our family of 7 fit well in this condo with lots of space to enjoy.

Perfect Place in Paradise

I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was to stay in your condo for 16 days. There were nine of us and no one wanted to go home. The condo itself was extremely nice. Open, spacious, comfortable. I loved going to sleep hearing the ocean and waking up to the sound of it. If someone didn't want to hear the ocean you could shut windows and you wouldn't hear it. The kitchen was very well stocked with anything you might need to cook your own meals (not the food), but grocery store very nearby. Barbecue grills outside. The beach just steps away from the house. Store room full of things you might have to rent at a hotel or resort. Like boogie boards, chairs for the beach, beach umbrellas, sand toys for younger kids. Plenty of beach towels in the house. If you don't want to cook there are a lot of fabulous restaurants. John has so much information on places to eat and things to do in the house for you. The condo is in a good neighborhood.

We were not disappointed one bit in the places we ate at: Merrimens, Mama's Fish House, and the Sea House, and others. All the beaches are wonderful, especially the one outside the condo. You'll love the 15 minute or so drive to Lahaina. A lot to see and do there.

We went zip lining at the Jungle Zip Line. Horse back riding at Lahaina Stables. Had fun at the Luau in Lahaina. Grandpa and Grandson went Scuba Diving. Took the road to Hana. The four guys went golfing. hiked down to the Blow Hole and back up. I can hardly remember all the neat things we did. I took one day and stayed in just to relax and enjoy the beauty of where we were staying with a good book and a bottle of my favorite wine. John is always available by phone if you have anything questions or concerns. The condo was perfect for the nine of us. We most certainly would come back. Dreams Do Come True

Wow! What a vacation...more than expected! The ocean is steps away...the kitchen so fully stocked. The owners tried to reach us several times but we were having so much fun experiencing the area we did not even call back! Ergo the review!~ We hope to be back...and sooner rather than later. This oceanfront residence is truly a home and we felt at home!~
