Charming Mountain Sanctuary

  • 5 of 5

We're so glad we chose Alpine Accents. Coyote is a beautiful little cabin, with plenty of room for our family. This cabin is nestled into the Rio Grande National Forest, with a mountain literally right out the front door (it was breathtaking). We enjoyed relaxing in the hot-tub after a long day of skiing at Wolf Creek. We liked starting fires in the old-style wood-fired stove. We watched movies on the flat-screen TV & Blu-ray Player. We cooked our meals inside & outside (on the grill). Simply put, we just enjoyed being secluded from the world for a few days - but with all of the conveniences of daily life still basically at our finger tips. We were only 10-15 minutes from Wolf Creek Ski Area, and 10 minutes from South Fork (for Groceries or restaurants). We highly recommend renting with Alpine Accents & (if available) reserving Coyote for your next family mountain get-away. We will definitely use them in the future when we return to South Fork/Wolf Creek.

modern, clean, functional and quiet

What's not to like? Not the fanciest appointments and pretty basic kitchen accessories, but everything works well and nicely maintained by the excellent property manager: The Amazing Goat.

Awesome!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I rented this cabin for four days. It faces the rear of Alpine Accents property toward the forest and mountain so it is like you are all alone in the woods while sitting on the porch. It was exceptionally clean. The washer/dryer and dishwasher were an extra plus as well. The king size bed was very comfortable on the lower level and the loft was perfect for two adult children traveling with us. Goat has cut firewood on the porch which was needed due to the temp at night. Plus, I caught a 21" rainbow trout in the pond for guests at Alpine Accents (I know you probably think this cannot be real but it is! got the pics to prove it). Liz and Goat are excellent hosts. They provide everything you need but give you privacy as well. I will be sure to return! LOVED IT!

Texas

Secluded Winter Cabin

  • 5 of 5

This cabin's location is perfectly placed in the middle of a national forest and only 10 - 15 minutes from Wolfe Creek Ski resort. My family of 6 stayed here and we had a wonderful time. My boys explored the paths and we enjoyed the privacy the cabin provided. The cabin was just built and had all the amenities (dishwasher, laundry, etc) that we needed. The private hot tub right outside the back door was a welcome addition. The cabin is well furnished, clean and fully functional. We were able to cook in every night, and had everything we needed with kitchen utensils. We would definitely recommend and will be back.

Wonderful vacation experience!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed five nights in the Coyote cabin and found it to be extremely comfortable, well equipped, and very clean and tidy. The furnishings fit with a cabin décor and it was especially nice to have a washer/dryer and dishwasher! The cabin is equipped with everything you need, down to dishwashing detergent, towels, paper towels, T.P., and all the pots, pans, and dishes you would ever need. Really, all you need to bring are food and clothing.

We did find a couple of issues, which we addressed with the caretakers: there were no steps to climb into the hot tub, so we were unable to use it. Also, the T.V. went in and out, and we were unable to connect to the internet on most occasions. The

T.V. and net were non-issues with me, because that's not why I go to the mountains, but we would have liked to use the hot tub. Also, we would have been a bit more comfortable without dogs running loose on the property. We kept our own dogs on leash, which is suggested in the "rules" posted on the fridge.

The property is beautiful and the cabin is situated very close to the river. The caretakers were extremely friendly and were there to meet us when we arrived at the cabin.

The cabin is well situated for day trips to Creede, Alamosa, or just scenic drives. I do suggest that you plan ahead for groceries. There is a small grocery in Southfork, but a larger one in Pagosa Springs.

I give this experience five stars because my husband and I were so happy to find such a beautiful clean cabin in such a beautiful area of Colorado. We definitely plan a return trip next year!
