This lovely flat is centrally located in Lower Pacific Heights, convenient to some of the best markets in San Francisco. The flat is also walking distance to great shopping, restaurants (Spruce, Garibaldi’s & Florio to name a few) and banks on Fillmore & Sacramento Streets, Laurel Village and Japan Town. It is also within walking distance to several hospitals including UCSF, CPMC and Kaiser.
Our family owns and lives in the building. We designed the rental flat with our own family in mind and have have made it a comfortable place to relax, yet it is convenient to the excitement of San Francisco. There is always someone to answer questions or give advice on restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, taxis, or site seeing.
Molly Robinson purchased this apartment in 2006
This lovely 100 + year old building is centrally located in Lower Pacific Heights, convenient to much of what SF has to offer. This can be a wonderful base for a family vacation.
You will feel right at home when you open the front door and see the beautiful hardwood floors covered by oriental rugs, the high ceilings with all of the original moldings and many restored fixtures.
I stayed at the flat with my 2 daughters and 2 teenage friends of my older daughter. We had a great stay. The kitchen has all the cooking equipment you would need. There is a nice dishwasher. My young daughter and I enjoyed watching the Olympics on their wide-screen TV. The owners give you a parking pass to keep in your car so you may park on the street. I took the bus most places because the bus stop was nearby, it was inexpensive, and the bus drivers were very helpful. The beds were very comfortable and I slept well. The owners live in the flat above, so if you need anything, they can be there right away. One piece of advice: Do not talk loudly after 9PM because the walls are thin and your neighbors may be disturbed. That being said, we did not experience much noise at all.
I would recommend this flat. Book a San Francisco City Tour and Alcatraz Tour. Book at bike tour that takes you from Fisherman's Wharf, across the Golden Gate Bridge, and into Sausalito. The California Academy of Sciences and the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park are also worth visiting.
This was a great place to stay. It is about a block from the main bus transportation route, and it takes about 20 minutes to get to Union Square. The house itself is very comfortable. There are 2 huge TVs in the main room and in the master (we watched the Olympics at night). The house is nicely furnished, and very comfortable after a day of walking the city. Buy a multi-day bus pass from a Walmart, or at the trolley terminus. Take the Real San Francisco walking tour. Don't eat at the Warf, but go see the crazy performers, and old mechanical machines museum.
We truly enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was perfect for us , our son lives just a few blocks away. Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance plus a few markets. Larger grocery store about a 20 minute walk. The property was clean and comfortable. Any questions I had was answered promptly by the owner. There are young children in the building and you can definitely hear morning and evening activity.
I would recommend this property and use it again.
We had family staying for a couple of weeks, including a teething and tired baby for several days. The owners (who lived upstairs) were understanding, even though it was difficult.
Besides that, the place was very nice and comfortable, with plenty of space to stretch out and relax. The location was also pretty conveniently close to shopping (Target, Trader Joe's) and restaurants on Divisadero, California, and Fillmore.
This was a wonderful way to visit San Francisco. The flat was so unique, well stocked, nicely located. We walked to dinner every night - wonderful choices. Easy to park in the evening and easy to get to. Getting used to a flat and the noise from neighbors was different than a single family home - but what a unique way to visit the city. We would stay here again for sure! Owners were very responsive and quick to answer any questions.
This beautifully appointed flat is well located for walks in the neighborhood and to nearby parks. Trader Joe's is a short walk away and when you need to get into the city, the local cab service is an easy phone call. For excursions outside the city, one can easily locate a nearby Zip Car for a very reasonable rate.
The home is quite comfortable with plenty of room for our traveling party of four. When we had questions about local restaurants and area sights, the Robinsons were extremely insightful and accommodating. We highly recommend this gorgeous property for your next San Francisco adventure!

The Presidio Gates are within walking distance of the flat. In the Presidio you will find hiking and biking trails, playground, soccer and baseball fields, tennis and basketball courts, Walt Disney Family Museum, bowling alley, and restaurants. Anther park you can walk to, Alta Plaza Park, has views of the bay, tennis courts, walking paths, and a wonderful playground. These are wonderful areas to enjoy San Francisco.
