We enjoyed our stay at the condo. Our biggest issue was the smell of the water. For the first whole day it smelled like sulfur. Even when washing hand the smell would stick to them. Also, the roof in the bunk bed room looks like it could use some work. The beds were nice and comfortable and we also enjoyed the fireplace. We found a local that had some wood. It would be nice it it was provided with the rental.
Great little condo! Served our needs perfectly!
We found the unit to be all we needed for our first ski trip. We are a family of 6 and everyone had their own real bed, the 4 kids in their own room with a queen and bunk beds and hubs and I in our own room with a queen bed. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need to prepare a meal and clean up after. This was a nice bonus, as my in laws unit on another property had absolutely nothing. You could walk to the lifts, but no one really wanted to carry their skis and boots that far, so we took the shuttle one day($1 a ride) and the 2nd day hubs dropped us off at resort, parked and walked up to neet us. None of it is too far to do. A few notes: the bedroom heaters have to be individually turned on and they are accessed behind beds and furniture, which we were not aware of initially, and bedrooms were cold the first half of the day, as we thought the heat just wasn't working in there. I still dont really know how I got them turned on, maybe you push the knob and turn, not real sure, just fiddled with it and eventually I felt heat start, so maybe some printed instructions would be helpful for that. Also, we were told that wifi was being upgraded in the entire property, but that owner would be sending a router and it would be working by time we arrived. Unfortunately, to no fault of the owner I suppose, but the installation was behind, and we had none. That was definitely frustrating as that was one thing I clarified before booking. Also, if you are a football fan, and there during Bowl season, you might be better off watching in a public place because ESPN comes and goes as you are watching and people on other properties in Angel Fire experienced the same thing. Kind of petty to mention it, but my husband's career is in football, so he found it super frustrating. The wallkway and stairs were very icy, so I would have liked to have seen maintenance putting salt down, esp. on the stairs. Other than those minor issues, this is a fantatic, very clean, comfortable condo. Owner is very quick to respond to the many questions I had, as this was our first vacation rental. Would rent again.
Thank you for the review. I will get some better directions printed for the floor heaters. Also, thank you for your patients and understanding about the wifi. It is my understanding that the town is getting fiber optic lines put in for internet. They are doing one building at a time. I will stay in touch with our HOA about the new wifi service.
