This home is located in the secluded Rancho Mirage community of Magnesia Falls Cove which provides both privacy and tranquility. The home’s exterior reflects the colors of the nearby mountains and provides a stunning backdrop for the beautiful xeriscape. This remarkable vacation home was custom built in 2006 with indoor / outdoor living in mind. This home's design and orientation highlight the sunshine and gorgeous mountain views. High ceilings, open floor plan and large windows give this home a light and open feel and bring the outdoors in.
Many upscale appointments make this home perfect for your quiet enjoyment or sharing with friends and family. The living area opens to the pool area and covered patio and includes a gas fireplace and terrific built in sound system. The kitchen features granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances including double ovens for those special events and dinner parties. You'll find all the utensils, service ware, and small appliances you need to prepare delicious meals for friends and family. The butler’s pantry contains ample storage and a bar with wine cooler. Two sets of French doors in the Dining Room opens to the front courtyard to the north and western mountain views. The media room also opens to the front courtyard and includes a large HD TV as well as an Xbox 360 with an assortment of games and movies for your entertainment.
The master bedroom is spacious with high ceilings, a large walk-in closet, and a large en suite with jetted tub overlooking a private garden. The guest house has large sliders opening to the front courtyard and the south facing backyard. Each of the two other guest bedrooms have their own spacious private patios.
The outside oasis of this home invites you to enjoy the brilliant year round sunshine and breathtaking mountain views while you relax on a lounge chair, outdoor sectional or pool float. A comfortable modular sectional provides for comfortable longing or entertaining under the south facing covered patio with lounge chairs on the poolside patio. The sparkling pool is great for play or lounging and includes remotely operated fountains. The large spa heats quickly and is perfectly situated to enjoy the breathtaking mountain views and sunsets. Stunning pool and landscape lighting, as well as a gas firepit, allow you to enjoy, or entertain in, the outdoors throughout the evening.
The front courtyard includes a putting green, dining table for 6-10 and a gas fireplace.
This beautiful home is located walking distance to Rancho Las Palmas Resort including Spa and Golf Course, and The River with its fantastic restaurants, art galleries, and nightlife. The adjacent mountain include several trails for hiking. High end shopping is just a short drive away along El Paseo, with unique boutiques in Palm Springs and great outlet shopping in nearby Cabazon.
We were a family of 9 and stayed in this gorgeous home last week - grandparents, young late 20's newly married couple, and family with parents and 3 kids ages 9, 6 and 2..this house was perfect for us, and had everything we needed to have a fun relaxing week with our family. Location is perfect, layout of the home worked perfectly for us, the home is very well maintained, the pool was perfect for us all and especially the kids. The kitchen is large and beautiful and very well equipped. Lots of beach towels and pool toys were provided and very accessible, we could not have asked for anything more.. we had a wonderful and relaxing vacation. We went on some wonderful walks just from the house.. Perfect for us!
This home is located in a very nice, quiet area of Rancho Mirage. The home is very well equipped and has a great yard and pool area. The pool is well heated which is important to a Canadian in January. Perfect home for 2 or 3 couples. Lots of great golfing within minutes of this home. Highly recommend this home.
We rented this home for our family Christmas and it couldn't have worked out better. Michael was professional and responsive to my inquiries, the home location is central and yet the neighbourhood is quiet. The house is spacious and extremely well supplied. There was ample room for the 8 of us, plus our Cocker Spaniel who loved the large, fenced yard.

It took Michael five days to return my call to confirm our reservation and send the
contract. Not a problem as I later found out he was spending time with his kids. I mention this because after receiving the reservation confirmation, I was expecting Michael to email the access instructions prior to arrival as our confirmation email explains. Fast forward to the night before check in - There was no communication from Michael, so I called him, only to find out that he wasn't expecting us. He stated that our reservation had been cancelled - yet looking at VRBO, our dates were still blocked out, I paid for the first half of the deposit and received confirmation of our reservation. Ok…. I'm in a little bit of a panic now. The 2nd payment should have automatically be paid on the due date as there are no instructions stating otherwise. Michael handled it well and said the house is available. I asked when check in time was and Michael said anytime would be fine. We agreed on a time and he replied that he would have the property looked at and guaranteed that the property would be ready prior to arrival.
We arrived at our designated time and the property was not rental ready. We couldn't use the pool for the first two days as the pool was (very) dirty due to the filter needing to be replaced. The A/C filter also needed to be replaced and wasn't working until late the first evening - keep in mind it was 107 that day. There were nasty stains on the comforter in the guest house and there was a large amount of dust balls draping over the head board in the guest house that had to be accumulating for quite some time. We were looking forward sitting by the outdoor fire pit in the evening, which turned out broken. Oh and don't let me forget about the large amount of bird excrement all over the back patio and lounge cushions that needed to be disinfected and cleaned. We spent the day coordinating with the property manager and overseeing that the various challenges get addressed. It wasn't until 7 hours later that most of the issues had been resolved. This is NOT the way we should have spent our first day. It was very disappointing. Regardless of what the rental fee is, the property should be clean and in working order. Michael agreed to refund the first nights rental fee Sep. 30 - it is now Oct. 9 and I have not received the credit. I sent a follow up email the morning of the 7th and there has been (no) response. *Update: received a refund on the 9th
We had a wonderful relaxing time at Michael's house and would return in a heartbeat. The amenities were perfect and everything was spotless (important for my high-maintenance crowd). Great cooks kitchen, plenty of towels, quality flatware and plenty of room to spend quiet time away from the group if needed. A perfect 10!
