Terrapin Cottage is lovingly tucked away in the forest at the end of a cul-de-sac; very private. Paved roads all the way. Just 15 minutes from restaurants, grocery stores, and points of interest.
Spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom; loaded with country charm; wood stove; central air; sky lights; deck onto private woods. One queen bed in master bedroom; double futon in tv room; trundle bed in 3rd bedroom and double sleeper sofa in living room (all thick comfortable mattresses - yes, even the futon and sleeper sofa!). All linens provided. Air mattresses are available for extra bedding upon request.
There is a small flat screen tv with DVD player and a good selection of movies and games for both children and adults.
There is a "Kid's Kloset" with a play kitchen, doll house and lots of toys. Little kids adore the homemade rocking horse (See pics).

Explore Harpers Ferry National Historic Park, Appalachian Trail, Charles Town Races and Slots, Antietam Battlefield, tubing, canoeing, and kayaking on the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers, white-water rafting, zip-wiring, juried Mountain Heritage Arts and Crafts Festival (June & Sept), fine dining, shopping, and antiquing in quaint historic towns of Shepherdstown and Charles Town, WV, Leesburg, VA, and Frederick, MD. Hiking and biking along river roads and C & O Canal, WV and Loudon County wineries ~ or ~ simply relax with a good book (many to choose from) and cup of hot chocolate in front of the roaring wood stove and watch the deer in the surrounding woods.
