Secluded cabin surrounded by deer and history!
The cabin is lovely! It is very secluded and was literally surrounded by grazing deer all night long! The cabin was stocked with everything we needed (bedding, towels, kitchen items, etc.) and we were even welcomed with a nice bottle of wine and hot chocolate for our kids - which was a nice added touch!
From the cabin, you can tour Harper's Ferry, Charles Town and Shepherdstown, all of which are rich in history and had enough tourist attractions to keep our kids interested.
When we returned home, we discovered that one of our children had left a beloved teddy bear at the cabin. The owner mailed it to us immediately with a cute note! The owner was great!
It was an amazing getaway. The pictures do not do this place justice. Communication was prompt and very professional. The host was extremely helpful and made check in and check out seamless. I hope my family can make this a once yearly trip because we would not hesitate to book again.
great vacation spot! private yet close to everything
We had a wonderful vacation over New Years at Terrapin cottage. Everything was just right. The house had everything we needed. We barbecued steaks out on the deck and relaxed inside by the wood stove. comfy beds and all the comforts of home. We explored Harper's Ferry and Leesburg. Can't wait to come back in the spring/summer. Thanks Kevin

Great time. Secluded enough for privacy, but close to everything. Supplied with everything you need and then some. Lovely property.
