Brie’s Tahoe Retreat is a classic Tahoe cabin which offers modern luxuries in a prime North Shore location. The charming 5 bedroom 3 bath home is within minutes of Northstar Ski resort, blocks from the beach and recently remodeled, complete with a steam shower, hot tub and game room. This is the ideal vacation getaway for your large family or group.

As you enter through our upstairs mud room you will be greeted by a warm living room, complete with a stone fireplace and log beams. The couch and fireplace are inviting to people and animals alike. Brie will sleep for hours in front of the fireplace.

Even on vacation, you may want to cook up a feast for the family (or just warm up the leftovers from one of the awesome Kings Beach restaurants). Our modern kitchen with granite countertops is off the living room and is outfitting with all of the essentials you’ll need. There is a separate laundry room and pantry off the kitchen.

Down the hall is the guest bathroom which has heated floors and a spacious steam shower. You have no idea what you’re missing until you try a steam shower. There are two guest rooms off of the hall, one with a King sized log bed and one with a queen sized log bed. The master suit has a great bay window looking into the back yard, a California King sized canopy log bed, walk through closet and en-suite bathroom.

Downstairs is a recently remodeled bathroom and two bedrooms, one with two bunk beds and the other with a twin over full log bunk bed. The game room has a flat screen TV, a Wii, Netflix and lots of DVDs. There is also a foosball table, card table (texas hold'em or blackjack) and an assortment of games and puzzles to enjoy. For additional sleeping there is a “Cowboy” daybed made out of pine logs.

Out back is a spacious yard with a hot tub, patio, barbecue, picnic table, lawn and fire pit. When the weather is nice (or even when it's not) this is the place to be!

Our dog Brie loves nothing more than getting away to Tahoe. She welcomes your well behaved pooch to enjoy our home as well. We charge only a small nightly pet fee to cover the additional cleaning costs.

Your family and friends (two legged and four) can’t help but feel relaxed in our classic yet luxurious home. With all there is to do in the area, in all seasons, our well appointed cabin is the ideal place for you to unwind, reflect on all of the fun you had during the day and enjoy the company of your loved ones. We can’t get enough of it and are sure that you will feel the same after your stay

About Chandler and Gia Grenier

Our Family has been vacationing in Kings Beach for 20+ years and can't get enough. We love the year round activities as well as the opportunity to do nothing but relax on the beach or by the fire. When we recently returned from living overseas we decided to buy a home in Kings Beach to use as our own retreat and share with other like minded families.

Chandler and Gia Grenier purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Chandler and Gia Grenier chose Lake Tahoe North Shore

We love the neighborhood feel of Kings beach, the pet friendly attitude of the area, its proximity to skiing, the lake and the bay area. We wanted a traditional Tahoe cabin but didn't want to sacrifice modern conveniences. We are so happy with our second home and hope you are as well.

What makes this cabin unique

You will love the feel of the traditional cabin and the modern luxuries. Nothing feels better than a steam shower / wet sauna after a long day of skiing, sledding, boating or just playing on the beach. The inviting stone fireplace will invite you and your family to gather around and enjoy each other's company!

Terrific stay!

  • 5 of 5

The house was great! We had four families sharing house and there was plenty of space. Very clean and in order upon arrival. Beautiful house and very comfortable. The backyard is like a little oasis. Close to Kings Beach. The teenagers were able to walk on their own to beach. Owners were very helpful. We will definitely be back!

Dog Friendly Beach and Bicycling Basecamp

  • 5 of 5

The house fit 10 people, 8 bicycles, and 1 labrador very comfortably. We cooked breakfast for all 10 each morning, and enjoyed a bbq on the back patio our 2nd evening. Plenty of kitchen supplies to cook for a large group. The combo door lock on the front makes it easy for all 10 of us to come and go as we wanted to. The close access to the beach, groceries, and hiking trails is amazing. All accessible by foot.

Excellent Summer Getaway Trip

  • 5 of 5

The house was a great space for all 14 of us to use a home base as we adventured around Lake Tahoe. There was something for everyone in the house! We played board games, enjoyed the hot tub, hung outside on the picnic table, and hosted a big reunion dinner. It was an easy walk to the beach and to nearby hikes. I would love to stay at this house again!

We find it ideal for families as well and ours can't wait for our next trip up in August for our own reunion. We're delighted that it worked out for you and your group and that you all got to enjoy all that Tahoe has to offer. We certainly hope to hear back from you when you're planning your next Tahoe Trip! 16 Bday Ski Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My daughter wanted a cabin ski weekend for her 16th birthday and Brie's Retreat worked perfectly. We had 6 adults and 5 teenagers. This house fit all of us very comfortably. All of our guests thought the beds were very comfortable. We got so lucky with the snow storm last weekend that we spent most of our time at Northstar. The location of this house to Northstar, the Lake, even Safeway makes it perfect. We had a great time, but I do wish we would have stayed another night so we could have spent a little more time in the house and checking out the neighborhood. I was afraid that the living room and kitchen would not be large enough for all us, but actually most of the kids hung out in the bunk room or game room while the adults sat around the kitchen counter eating! I hope we can make staying here a yearly tradition. I would also like to add that the homeowners were very responsive and pleasant to communicate with at all times.

Great place to stay for North Lake Skiing!

  • 5 of 5

Some coworkers and I from SF stayed here for a skiing weekend, and everyone's jaws basically dropped on entering and seeing how gorgeous the place was. Very convenient to downtown King's Beach, so we had a grocery store and lots of good food options nearby and the people who had to pick up rental equipment could do so easily. Having 3 full baths was nice when everyone came back from the mountain desperate for a shower. The kitchen and appliances were very nice (though not tons of seating, not sure how more than 10 or so people could eat in there without getting pretty cozy), bedrooms were clean and nicely furnished. The hot tub wasn't working, which was a bummer, but the rest of the house was so nice we barely missed it, and the whole "hot tub-firepit" area seemed like it would be a cool place to hang out. The hosts were very responsive, and we'd definitely go back!

Owner's Response: Beth Thank you so much for staying at our cabin and for your review. We love the cabin too. The dining area can be a bit tight for large groups. We normally have the kids eat first and then send them to the game room while the adults eat. We also have a folding table that we've setup to seat larger parties during holidays. I'm sorry again about the hot tub. Since the repairman flaked on me I actually went up and replaced the heater element myself and got it working again. Thanks again and we hope to hear from you when planning your next Tahoe trip

Beautiful cabin!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was perfect! We had 14 people and there was PLENTY of space and beds for us all. The hosts were gracious and kind through email and made our stay very easy. The only concern was that the hot tub wasn't working, but we enjoyed the steam shower instead!

Owner's Response: Hi Frances, Thank you so much for the review! We're delighted that you and your group enjoyed our cabin as much as we do! I'm terribly sorry about the hot tub but completely agree that the steam shower is perfect after a day of skiing or just hanging out. Somebody is looking at the hot tub today.

Map

Our vacation home is on a quiet street in Kings Beach, conveniently located within walking distance to the lake. There you will find the Kings Beach State Recreation Area which includes a beautiful white sand beach, playground and picnic area. Check out the charming shops and restaurants that make up the Kings Beach lakefront. There is great nightlife just five minutes out of town where you can gamble take in a show or check out Tahoe Frank Sinatra style at the CalNeva resort. There is a great golf course walking distance from the cabin and many more courses within a short drive. While you can certainly fish in Lake Tahoe there is also great fishing on the Truckee River, Donner Lake, Prosser Creek Reservoir and Boca Reservoir, all short drives from the house. When it’s time to ski a short 5 minute drive gets you to Northstar, 15 minutes to Diamond Peak and 30 minutes to Mt. Rose, Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley and Homewood ski resorts. There are also great hiking and biking trails at the end of the street!
