Spacious and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Nice large home with comfortable seating in the living room, several bedrooms and spacious kitchen. We wanted to be near water and town and this property gave us that (although the town with pubs was a long walk on the Ring of Kerry). Enjoyed walking to the water, rocky beach, with some nice weather. The wi-fi was reliable for my husband who had some work to do. The owner and her son were helpful with firewood, etc. Nearby Staigue Fort was an awesome sight.

Ring of Kerry cottage

  • 5 of 5

This was a lovely, simple and very cozy place to stay on the ring of Kerry. Comfortable seating in the living room, comfortable beds, big kitchen, close to the village of Caherdaniel with its shop and pub. Beautiful scenery. Private setting. Very nice owner. Reasonable, too.

Very Relaxing Stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed last May in Abbies Cottage. The cottage is completely renovated and everything was new. Nice big kitchen come sitting room with a stove. The weather was good so we did not need to light a fire but Cathy explained everything in case we did. There was only two of us staying and we had two friends visit us during the week. Everything was nice and clean. The cottage itself is in a good location. It is very near a number of different beaches. Its about 15 minutes walk to Caherdaniel village , where you find a few pubs and a cafe. We also walked the Kerry Way from Caherdaniel village, one day we walked to Sneem and then got a taxi back - about 25 euro and the other day we walked to Waterville and got a taxi back about 20 euro.

We hope at some stage to be back in Caherdaniel and would definitely stay in Abbies again.

excellent location and very well appointed house

  • 4 of 5

We have stayed in several houses in the area over the years and, overall, we were delighted with our stay at Abbie's cottage. The house oozes character and is fitted with everything you could hope for in a rented house, including a coffee maker. It is also within walking distance of Caherdaniel and a campsite where we could get delicious croissants every morning. Though just metres from the Ring of Kerry, we were never disturbed by the traffic. There is a good view of the water and it is a couple of mins walk to a stony beach. There are also excellent opportunities for walking and cycling from the the door. The only downside was the lack of wi-fi. Hostess was nearby if needed (which we didn't) but we never felt that we were being checked up on. They even kindly let us do a bit of chipping (golf) practice on their own lawn. Highly reccommended

Very cosy getaway

  • 5 of 5

Myself and my partner booked abbeys cottage for a week at the end of sept. There was four in our group. The house was extremely cosy and comfortable with amble space. There was a solid fuel burner in the sitting room, we bought coal and turf in the nearby town of sneem, which lasted us for the week. The stove gives a rustic feel to the property and provided excellent heat for the whole house as well as heating the radiators, but there are electric heaters in case you don't want to use the stove. The property is equipped with all necessary mod cons. We spent the week in front of the stove playing chess and board games. Caherdaniel is an amazing village to spend a holiday- lots of outdoor activities when the weather allows. Favourite part of our holiday was waking up to the amazing sea views - breathtaking. Thank you for these beautiful memories.

Knus huis met mooi uitzicht

  • 4 of 5
