Loved staying at this little blue house!! Great location, awesome little town :))
Beautiful home in a charming town.
We loved our stay at the little blue house. Everything in the home was neat and welcoming and the neighborhood was quiet. There’s a creek in the backyard as a plus.
We enjoy cooking and the kitchen was great, with good quality appliances and well-stocked with accessories and staples.
The location is perfect, nestled between Pike’s Peak and Garden of the Gods. If you don’t take a car, Uber is available. On average they took a little longer (10-15 min) but we didn’t have any issues finding a ride. Also, downtown Manitou Springs is walkable—we enjoyed exploring the shops.
Greg and Ray were helpful and replied quickly to any questions we had. We’d definitely come back!
Perfect Weekend Getaway
My husband and I came here for our 9 year anniversary. We had a long weekend with childcare so we knew we wanted to fly to CO and have close access to hiking. It was absolutely what we needed. This cute little cottage style home is located far away from the shops to be quiet and feel secluded yet walkable to everything. We only had one instance where we couldn’t park in front of the house or in the parking lot but when grabbing snacks from Tubby’s Turnaround, we asked the gal where we should park and she graciously let us park in their lot for a couple of hours. She was so kind. The house is located on the creek and we enjoyed lunch out there. It’s November so the weather is chilly in the shade but it was ideal the rest of the time. We hiked the Manitou Incline and came back down the Barr Trail. The views were breathtaking. Not a cloud in the sky. We also drove up to Pikes Peak and did some photo taking and a little bit of hiking. Us midwesterners are not accustomed to higher altitudes!
The home itself was clean, very well kept and there was only one toiletry we had to purchase. Everything else was stocked for us. One thing we never figured out was the thermostat. We are from Minnesota and used to the heat around 68 and when we turned it down, it only stayed there for an hour and went back up to 73. Cozy but a bit toasty. Likely it was operator error on our part.
Overall this place is reasonably priced, in a fabulous location and the owners were a joy to work with. We got so much info around what to do in Manitou before arriving that we felt right at home when we walked in the door.
Excellent location and amenities
This house has everything you need. It is clean, well stocked and only a short walk to downtown and shopping. Owner was easy to work with. I highly recommend this property if you are visiting manitou springs
Cutest cottage ever.
Perfect accommodations for 2 people wanting to stay in Manitou Springs. Location is great. You can walk to anything in town. Home was neat as a pin and provides everything you could possibly want. We’ll be back.
Great little house!! Clean, cozy, close to town!
This is the second time my husband and I stayed at the Little Blue House. We had a wonderful time and everything was just as great as our last stay (which was about a year ago). Very clean. Comfy furniture in the living area and bedroom. I was in town for the Pikes Peak Marathon. We were able to park in front of the house about half the time, but the paid parking lot that comes with the home is very close and easy to get in/out of. We walked in to town frequently for meals, shopping, etc. There is a convenience store practically next door that has quite a few things if you forget something, and Colorado Springs is also a very short drive. This place is the perfect spot to stay for so many things..very close to Cave of the Winds, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Pikes Peak (about an hour’s drive to get all the way to the top), and Garden of the Gods. We enjoyed laying on the hammock on the back porch and listening to the creek. The owners / property manager were quick to reply to anything that we needed prior to or during our stay. It will continue to be our go-to place anytime we are in the area!! :)
Ideally situated in historic Manitou Springs, you will find yourself easy walking distance to the shops, restaurants and amusements of downtown Manitou, including public parks and the town's well-known throwback indoor/outdoor arcade. You'll also be foot-travel distance to the famous Cog Railway and numerous hiking & biking trails including the Manitou Incline, Barr Trail, Inteman Trail and others.
You are only a 20-minute drive to downtown Colorado Springs and 20-minutes or less to a surprising number of attractions found on the city's west side including: Garden of the Gods, the United States Air Force Academy, the Broadmoor, Old Colorado City, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and Seven Falls.
