On Top of the World!

  • 5 of 5

WE LOVE THIS PLACE! My 2 neighbors and I drove from memphis to spend a few days seeing Asheville and the sourounding countryside. We wanted separate bedrooms in a place away from the hustle and bustle of Asheville. The house was perfect. THE BEDS WERE SO COMFORTABLE! The view was amazing and we used the hot tub every night after lots of walking and hiking. We cooked at least one meal daily in the roomy kitchen. The kitchen was supplied with everything you needed from corkscrews to spices. There were plenty of towels and extra sheets if you needed those. There were extra garbage bags and toilet tissue. There were 2 hairdryers and a flat iron. you don't have to take everything with you to stay here. They had plenty of dish soap and laundry detergent. The house is just beautiful and it's so quiet up there. The house is spotless..... from top to bottom. There's all kinds of little notes to help you figure out which light switch controls what to instructions on how to use the fireplace. That helped us a lot. The guests expected clean up was minimal and we had plenty of time as check out was at 11 am. I've stayed at a number of these Homeaway/vrbo rentals. This one is probably the most comfortable, cleanest and the prettiest.

Quiet getaway

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I loved our stay at the end of Feb. If the sun had cooperated, this house would have offered truly amazing views of the sunrise. Being from an area with high light pollution, I was stunned by the amount of stars that are visible on clear nights. We loved the sights and the quiet this house had to offer.

The house is very well equipped with everything we needed - hot tub was warm, plenty of towels, well stocked kitchen, and wood for the fire pit...just a few examples. Our kids were not thrilled with the speed of the DSL (they are used to cable), but this didn't bother us one bit... it was good to get them off technology and enable them to enjoy the great outdoors.

The house is secluded enough, yet within easy reach of neighbors. The climb up the mountain was paved and not a problem going up or down. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are glad we picked this house for our mini-getaway!

A wonderful girls weekend retreat!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was the perfect setting for a girls winter getaway. We spent most of the time on the porch- and the hot tub was amazing, especially during sunsets. The house was immaculate and the best stoked kitchen of any VRBO rental I've stayed. The owners are super responsive and friendly- their pre-trip preparation emails are fantastic helpers. Thank you- we will be back!

Beautiful views and an incredible stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of six stay in the house for the New Year's holiday. Lea and Bill were so helpful in getting me directions and information. They are very easy to work with and even responded quickly over the Christmas holiday to make sure I had all the information I needed regarding our stay. The kitchen is very well equipped, and, while we cooked most dinners at home, there are plenty of places to go out in the Chimney Rock/Lake Lure area. The views from the house are absolutely breathtaking and best viewed from the hot tub on a cool afternoon. The entertainment center was perfect for the guys (plenty of PlayStation games) and we loved watching the Tigers win the playoff game! Short scenic 40 minute drive to downtown Asheville and 30 minutes to Biltmore. Bill stayed in close contact and was easy to get ahold of with any needs or concerns. Will definitely return soon and highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to the Asheville area. Thanks again Bill and Lea!
