Fantastic Villa, Fantastic Host, Fantastic Holiday

  • 5 of 5

The place was absolutely brilliant... I think it was one of the best holidays we had as a family. Arife and Oliver were the perfect hosts. The place is amazing, its rural, quite, private and above all allows you the time to relax and take in the mountain views and scenery. You will need a car as the restaurants are approx 4 mins drive from the villa.

We stuck to about 3 restaurants in the village. All were brilliant, Istanbul, Muzzy's place, Avalon Steppes although there were plenty more to choose from.

The pool was amazing, fresh water and no chlorine.... heaven.

Arife arranged a full day boating trip with Tamar and his lovely wife, it is well worth taking up, he took us to about 5 quite beaches where we swam in the sea and his wife cooked an amazing lunch... no less than 14 different dishes... I was stuffed.

There is loads to do also, we went to gemlier beech which is a secluded beech about 15 mins drive from the villa, quad biking for my kids, Hisaranu is a short drive away if you want to dance the night away and of course Olu deniz and the beautiful lagoon.

We as a family will be definitely rebooking soon and will be telling our friends and family to do the same.

If you are having any doubts booking, don't...... book it and enjoy....

Very lovely house in a spectacular setting.

  • 5 of 5

Villa Eden is in the most lovely setting. The gardens and pool are spectacular and peaceful both by day and night. We were amazed by the number of mature trees and plants including pomegranite and fig trees. It is all set in the lovely unspoilt village which is not at all touristy but plent of basic shops and good resturants, not that we sampled many resturants as it was hard to tear ourselves away from the terraces and BBQ!

The house is lovely and quite spectacular, it is useful to know that the second bathroom as well as the third bedroom are upstairs accesssed by an external staircase.

All in all a brillant holiday with perfect weather and Arife is extremely helpful as well an excellent cook!

A genuine, blissful retreat

  • 5 of 5

This villa is a rare find. Its location is nothing short of magical. Its style is effortlessly beautiful, and its atmosphere is pure, relaxed and inspiring. It has everything you need to relax into your holiday. The pool is perfect, the various shaded areas give you the freedom to soak up or shelter from the sun at any given point in the day, the local shops are well stocked and just down the track, as is the magical ghost village. Restaurants and bars are a few minutes away - close enough to walk to, but far away enough to leave you in total tranquility at the villa.

Arife, the lovely owner, is there to welcome you and to help, as she lives in the villa next door - but she is not at all intrusive and privacy is assured.

We'll definitely be back – it’s a very special place in a very special part of beautiful Turkey.

Fantastic, amazing week at Villa Eden-wonderful !

  • 5 of 5

What a fantastic, wonderful villa and Arife is just amazing. You could not hope for a nicer villa, pool and setting - we all had a wonderful time here celebrating my husband's 50th birthday. Arife is the most wonderful hostess - nothing was too much trouble and she made us so welcome. We will miss her and hope to return next year, if we can. Thank you Arife.

Beautiful Villa in lovely peaceful location

  • 5 of 5

Villa Eden is a beautiful villa in a gorgeous location. It is a ten minute walk into Kaya Village where there are many places to eat and drink.

The villa itself is spacious and has everything that you would need for your holiday. The pool was gorgeous and the gardens stunning. The owner Arife who lives next door was very helpful and kind. I really cannot think of one negative of staying here. If you enjoy a beautiful peaceful location in a stunning villa then stay here!!

charming house in rural environment

  • 4 of 5

We had a very good stay in villa Eden.

We were warmly welcomed by Arifes husband and guides around the villa. Arife made a very nice welcoming dish for us !

The house itself is very nice. It is close to another house but situated so that you don't see or hear the neighbors. The interior of the house is simple but ok. Everything you need is there. There is AC in all the rooms.

The swimming pool is very nice with a very nice gazebo to sit in the evening sun. Thera are plenty of pool beds and parasols, so there was enough shade.

We found the outdoor dining chairs not very comfortable so we use cushions from inside for better sit.

There is one thing that might be mentioned for future tenants and that is that the road to the house leads through a very small passage between two houses. We had a quite large rental car (BMW 5 series) which couldn't pass through this narrow passage. Finally we had to park it somewhere else and use a friends car which was smaller and could easily pass. It was ok, but would have been a problem if our friends wouldn't have stayed nearby. I might be an idea to mention this when renting the house.

All by all we had a very good stay and would definitely return to Arifes house again.

Also very nice was a boat trip with mr. Tanner from Fethiye, arranged by Arife and the Borak pancakes that were made in the wood oven near the house.

Kaya is an unspoilt mountain village and is, in itself, a tourist attraction. It’s population was a mixture of Turkish and Greek until the 1920’s when political differences between the two countries governments resulted in a population exchange. All Greeks in turkey returned to Greece and vice versa. From then the once- Greek homes are now in ruins. Some people mistakenly call Kaya the “Ghost Town” but this is inaccurate as there is still a thriving Turkish community there.

The village is 15 minutes by car from both Fethiye & Olu Deniz beach, the most beautiful & famous beaches in Turkey. There is a regular mini-bus service from the village square to these places as well as to Hisaronu, a bustling village with plenty of restaurants and nightlife 10 minutes away. It is surrounded by mountains & forests, wonderful for walks & picnics and relaxing.
