Great location, neat, clean and well stocked!

The suite has a great location, very close and no hills between it and the areas you're likely to visit. The owner met us at the property, walked us through everything we needed to know and had many of the kitchen staples stocked for us.

She started our stay off on the right foot for sure. I absolutely recommend staying here and would do so again.

Fantastic location for kids

Location was perfect and easy walking distance for all kid friendly activities and transportation. Kitchen was conveniently stocked with necessary tools for meals at home as was bathroom with shampoo and body wash. She even had maps and brochures of local attractions. Eleanor was very friendly and left some nice snacks and goodies for us in the kitchen which was a really nice touch. Upstairs deck had breathtaking views. Some noise from upstairs neighbors and beds are a bit hard for my liking but overall a fantastic place to stay. For families staying here, Mamas restaurant as well as a playground across from there in Columbus circle in north beach is only 3 blocks away. The wharf was only a few blacks as was trader joes and another major supermarket just a few blocks as well. I was so happy to not travel with a stroller! My kids are 5 & 8. Your kids will love the muni cars up and down the embarcadero which you can take from pier 39 up to the Exploratorium which is a must see for kids and walk a bit further to the ferry building for a fun grand central station like market of stores and restaurants. If you do the cable car, don't walk all the way down to the end point in fishermans wharf, walk up to the first or second stop to avoid the very long lines.

Perfect in every way

We had an extremely enjoyable stay in this wonderful apartment. Everything truly is within walking distance, including supermarkets and chemist along with all the sightseeing locations of beautiful SF.

The gorgeous apartment was much bigger than we anticipated, clean, quiet, and very comfortable (especially the lounge, which was a welcome relief to chill out after each busy day). Also a beautiful sea breeze through the windows in the late afternoon added the authentic San Fran experience.

But the best thing about our stay - the owner. Excellent to deal with from the very first enquiry, prompt and friendly communication and went above and beyond in many ways for us, accomodating special requests and ensuring the apartment was set up for us perfectly with a number of special touches. She is an absolute delight and set the bar high for the rest of our accomodation throughout the holiday. As suspected, no other accomodation or owner lived up to this experience!

Will definitely stay here again when returning to SF.

A great base for our trip

We were a party of 3 adults. The apartment was clean and had all the facilities we needed. We particularly liked that amenities such as shampoo, shower gel and coffee were provided. Supermarkets are about 4 blocks away. Washington Square with it's restaurants such as Park Tavern were about 6-7 blocks away (3 blocks were uphill). The cable car stop, Buena Vista Cafe, the Embarcardero and Pier 33 for our trip to Alcatraz were all an easy walk. Light sleepers may notice street noise in the front bedroom. Eleanor was very helpful throughout the booking process, arrived promptly to meet us and show us around the apartment. We would definitely recommend staying here for your trip.

Fantastic location

We loved this place. The location is excellent, close to everything. Easy to walk to fishermans wharf and in the other direction some great restaurants. It is also a short walk to the Alcatraz tour boat. If you plan to ride a bike over the Golden Gate Bridge it is also a short walk to pick up a bike. The house was very comfortable for the four of us. Eleanor was so easy to deal with. It was a pleasure to stay there. I would thoroughly recommend it as a place to stay in San Francisco.

Great experience!

We were 4 adults staying in SF to celebrate a 40th birthday. Eleanor was fabulous to do business with right from the first inquiry to checkout. I felt very secure booking with Eleanor through vrbo and the description of the suite and area was accurate. It was very clean and comfortable. We felt as though we were living in SF for 5 days, not just tourists! We walked everywhere...Chinatown, little Italy, fisherman's wharf, Lombard street. This is a very accessible neighborhood. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others. Thank you Eleanor!
