Perfect place! This location is just a few short blocks from Fishermans Wharf. It is in the perfect location and the house was wonderful, it met all our needs for our party of three. We were able to cook our own breakfast which is a plus as well as come back and relax after a long day. Thank you so much Eleanor for everything. We really appreciated the extra touch of having a few treats as well as coffee waiting upon our arrival. Would definitely recommend staying here.
This property was perfect for 4 adults. We only had breakfast there but could have easily cooked all meals because it was well equipped with modern, new appliances. The location was incredible - only a 5 minute walk to Pier 39 and Fishermans wharf. We found it to be quiet with good, comfortable beds. The owner assisted us with information for our travel from the airport (BART). She met us when we arrived and had a few groceries to get us started (coffee, bread, fruit) Supermarket, pharmacies and liquor stores are only 2 blacks away. The roof deck was a nice surprise for a break. This suite was clean, comfortable, affordable, and we highly recommend it.
This is the first time we booked a VRBO and couldn't be happier. Eleanor was the perfect hostess. Having a kitchen was great as we cooked breakfast there each morning before heading out for a day of sightseeing. Eleanor even left us some half and half, ice tea and a loaf of cinnamon bread that we turned into cinnamon French toast one morning. The apartment was beautifully decorated, clean and had a lot of the amenities of being home and we really enjoyed using the deck which had views of Coit Tower, the city, Alcatraz and some of the Golden Gate Bridge. Though wear a jacket on the deck, it can get breezy, but hey, that is San Francisco. I would definitely recommend staying there and I would definitely go back again. It was in a great part of town and we could actually walk to a lot of the places we wanted to see, the Coit Tower, Fisherman's Wharf, the Cable car hubs, etc. Thank you Eleanor. We had a great time!
This was our first trip to San Francisco. We were located 2 blocks from Pier 39. It was an outstanding location. The owner was so sweeet. When we arrived she met us with snacks and drinks. Everything was very clean. We would definitely return to this unit should we decide to come back to San Francisco!
Perfect location to walk to local attractions. We had a car to visit sites outside San Francisco - garage space was great to have (and extremely affordable!). Uber pick-up and public transportation easily accessible. Eleanor was a pleasure to conduct business. Extremely helpful. My teenage kids could not wait to get back "home" after a long day of sight-seeing and hang out. So comfortable! Would come back and stay in a minute!
If you are looking for a 2 bedroom unit in Fisherman's Wharf/North Beach area, look no further. We stayed here for 7 days, 6 nights. This was our first Homeaway (VRBO) experience and it was a GREAT one! From start to finish, Eleanor was clear and easy to work with. The unit is as good, if not better than described in the listing. The suite has been updated beautifully, but they still kept the charm of an old building. Like the built in ironing board and trash chute. There was 5 of us that stayed (4 adults and a 2 year old) and the suite was plenty large to accommodate us all. She even had a port a crib and booster waiting for us so we didn't have to pack ours. Eleanor thought to leave some electrical outlet covers in case we needed them too. That shows how thoughtful she is. The queen sized beds were clean and comfortable. Well stocked kitchen including some local goodies that Eleanor surprised us with, including coffee and coffee maker! Which we used a lot and appreciated it every time we took a sip. The bathroom was clean and updated with good water pressure and great hot water! The roof deck has some of the most amazing views of the city, with peeks of The Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Coit Tower and Saints Peter and Paul Church. It was a great home away from home for us to come back to.
The suite is very conveniently located! Close enough for ease, but far enough away to feel like a local. Most of the streets between the attractions and the suite are flat and easy to walk (except Coit Tower). You have to go to Freddie's Sandwiches across the street for lunch one day. It's a San Fran staple and delicious. Great breakfast is 3.5 blocks away at Pat's Cafe. Most attractions are within easy walking distance along The Embarcadero. Multiple forms of public transportation are very close and easy to use. Just do some research before you go. You can get all the way up to Muir Woods via Sausalito with public ferries and buses. SF Giants game is an easy train ride away along The Embarcadero. Uber is also an easy, fast and affordable option to get around town. If you must rent a car, she has a garage available for a very reasonable fee. There is street parking, but it has a 2 hour limit. So if you don't want to move the car every two hours, go for the garage. You won't be disappointed.
This was the perfect suite! Try the local places and avoid the chains. Big Thanks to Eleanor for her hospitality and sharing her suite with us!
