Why Lynne Hondorp chose Fort Collins

Living most of our lives in Europe and the Middle East, we spent a year in Fort Collins in 2005 and fell in love with the community. Being close to Colorado State University in Old Town was our goal. We built this cottage in 2007 so that whenever we are in the US we would have a place that felt like home. We added landscaping and patios because we love being outside. We hand-carried ceramic tile from the Middle East to add a familiar touch to the kitchen and bathroom. Having hosted and been hosted by people all over the world, we place a premium on hospitality and have tried to ensure that this place has everything needed to enjoy your stay in Fort Collins.

Absolutely perfect holiday home

  • 5 of 5

The property is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean . Property is on a nice quiet road and the location for perfect for CSU and old town . It was cold and snowing whilst we were there but cottage was perfectly warm and cosy. Would stay here again in a heart beat and would recommend the property to anybody looking to stay in Fort Collins

Delightful inside and out!

  • 5 of 5

This is our fourth year in this delightful Old Town cottage. We just love it. Complete with gingerbread trim, this cottage is beautifully designed inside and out with lofted ceilings, spiral staircase and a large soaking tub, as well as a professionally landscaped yard with an extensive brick patio, eating area, fire pit and grill. It's cosy, beautifully decorated and always immaculately clean on our arrival. We love the location just a few blocks from Old Town restaurants and shops and near bike paths and parks. We walk and bike everywhere with the bikes provided. Every year we look forward to returning to this quiet and delightful getaway.

Fabulous place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

I stay here every time I come to Fort Collins and I absolutely love it! The cottage is beautiful and has everything you need and more. The location is perfect - right in the heart of Old Town and close to CSU. We loved using the bikes, having a smores night using the fire pit, and eating a leisurely breakfast on the patio. Staying here makes you feel like you've stepped into a Better Homes and Gardens magazine. I highly recommend this sweet cottage.

Just what we needed!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was exactly as described. Exceptionally clean and well decorated. The owners pretty much thought of everything you could possibly need in the bathroom and kitchen. Bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of blankets and fresh, clean, white towels. Loved that soaker tub with the reading light above!

Perfect for CSU visit!

  • 4 of 5

We rented this little two-bedroom cottage while our daughter explored whether to attend CSU. It's location and access to the college were perfect! My only suggestions for the owner are minor: the wheels on the gate need to be adjusted and a larger coffee pot would be nice for serious coffee drinkers. The lack of cooking space was not a problem as we planned for small breakfasts and lunches and explored the dining opportunities in the evenings. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of linens and paper products for our three-day stay. Overall, this is a nice, well-appointed property.

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed our cottage! We got the gate wheels adjusted and will check in to getting a bigger coffee pot. Thanks for the practical suggestions. We strive to make our rental perfect in every way!

Like home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is charming and quaint and the location is ideal! We were able to walk to CSU, parks, and Old Town. It had everything we needed and more. We were so comfortable in this little gingerbread house. I would recommend this property to anyone! The owner, I have decided, is the nicest woman in the world and we will definitely be back!

We're just two blocks from Colorado State University and close to Fort Collins famous Micro Breweries! Make sure to visit our Lincoln Performing Arts Center (just a few blocks away) for a little added culture or take a drive to our beautiful Horsetooth Reservoir and take in our clean mountain air.
