A great holiday apartment in the midst of everything.
You can walk or take the tram everywhere in Nice.
Organisation of our stay really smooth. The location of the appartment is super as all the amenities are just nearby with a lovely view from the balcony over the fountains. It is really well equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable. Close to place Garibaldi and the old town with its varied restaurants and markets. Had a great time and will certainly return if we come back to Nice. Thank you Anna!
Anna and her husband met us at the apartment and made us feel very welcome.
This is a very well furnished apartment - not the Ikea style but substantial, solid and comfortable. There was plenty of room for the two of us and we felt privileged to be able to stay in such a quality apartment. It was very clean and well equipped.
You couldn't get a better location. Close to the Convention Centre, the old town, and transport.
The only negative would be the traffic noise, but that was not a big issue for us and the many positive aspects certainly compensated for that. After all, it is a lively city and a quiet place would be hard to find.
If we return to Nice we would love to be able to stay at this apartment again and can recommend it to anybody who wants comfort, space and a central location.
This flat is in the city, and away from some of the more obvious tourist areas. But that means it's in a very lively neighbourhood, where real people live. The flat itself is very clean and very comfortable. There's a wraparound terrace where you can sit out: sip wine and people watch. And from here, there's access to just about anywhere you'd want to go in Nice. The tram service is just a few steps down the street and takes you into the centre and to other connecting forms of transport. Also, there's everything you might want in the immediate neighbourhood of the flat - excellent boulangeries for breakfast: a wonderful wine bar: restaurants: a pizza shop and three supermarkets, all within a couple of minutes' walk. There's very welcome wifi and a responsive, accommodating owner who's a joy to deal with. We'll be back!
The apartment is conveniently located within walking distance of all tourist destinations in Nice. If you have a car, the optional parking space is a necessity! The apartment was clean and fully furnished with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable and the automatic blinds blocked light, heat and some of the road noise. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return.
Very clean and well-equipped apartment. Lots of windows and balcony space. Busy intersection makes it quite noisy, but nothing ear plugs won't remedy. Owner Anna Casares is a jewel to deal with. Great central location, 15 min. walk to everywhere, and good bus service. We were 1st time users of HomeAwayFromHome. Xtremely satisfied all around, no glitches. Yvon & Ginette
If you're looking for convenience to Olde Town Nice, this is the place. We stayed here for 5 days while vacationing prior to a business trip and couldn't have asked for a more convenient & comfortable apartment.
Anna met us when we arrived and showed us around the apartment, gave us quick classes on all the appliances & electronics, she even set up my ipad with the wifi during our quick overview :) The location is great for everything, it is walking distance to Square Garibaldi, Square Massena, the Castle, Museum of Modern Art, Acropolis, and a short walk to the Promenade. Grocery stores and cafes are right around the corner.... AND a bakery is just to the left of the front door. All the bus lines & the tram are within a block, no car needed, however, there is parking available for your automobile if you have one, and the lot is open, not a tight squeeze like the parking garages.
Please keep in mind this apartment is located on a busy road on one side, so if you are looking for quiet time during the day, this won't work, however, after dark, the traffic slows down a bit and I was amazed at how quiet it became.
The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well.
This apartment has all the amenities of home, everything that you need for a short or long stay.
Anna is a hoot, I would come back just to spend more time with her!
I recommend this apartment without reservation! !!!
We spent 8 days in Nice, this apartment is just a few min walk from ‘Place Garibaldi, from there you can connect to the rest of Nice by bus or tram. The airport bus 98 also stops at Garibaldi making transfers to & from the airport so easy. It’s a great location almost in the centre of Nice with supermarkets, restaurants, chemists and a whole host of other shops not to mention Place Garibaldi it’s self with at least 4 or 5 great restaurants which really come alive in the evenings. Lots to do & see in the Old Town with its narrow streets, the markets and the Promenade des Anglais only about 15 mins walk away. Better still buy yourself a 10 trip pass for 10 Euros and take the bus or tram only a 5 min ride.
The second floor apartment is a lovely relaxing place to return to after a day’s sightseeing with its walk around balcony, a nice place to sit in the evening while you take in a cool relaxing drink. The air conditioning in the apartment was very welcome after a day out seeing the sights. The apartment overlooks the Modern arts centre sculpture park over one side of the road and the Acropolis Centre Park & fountains on the other side. Everything you’re likely to need is right there in the apartment waiting for you, Anna was there to meet us when we arrived and took the trouble to show us around while explaining some of the features, a lovely lady. We were very pleased with our choice of apartment and location and would have no hesitation in staying there again if we get back to Nice.
The spectacular natural beauty of the Nice area and its wonderfully mild Mediterranean climate came to the attention of the English upper classes in the second half of the 18th Century, when more and more aristocratic families took to spending their winter theres. The city’s main seaside promenade, the Promenade des Anglais (‘the Walkway of the English’) owes its name to the earliest visitors to the resort.
The climate and breathtaking landscape are still what attracts most visitors today. The architectural diversity of Nice’s Old Town is bound to delight both architecture buffs and those who don’t know much about the history of art. The unique Hotel Negresco, with its famous pink dome, was opened by Henri Negresco in 1913, and since then delights visitors with a Baccarat 16,309-crystal chandelier in the lobby. The apartment is only 7 minutes walk from the Place Garibaldi and the beginning of the old part of Nice with lots of restaurants and bars lining the cobbled lanes.
