|Minimum Stay||3 - 5 nights|
This large, luxurious, and updated home is right in the heart of Old Town. A short 4-block walk takes you to Main Street for dinner or shopping, and it's just as close to the base of Park City Mountain Resort for skiing or snowboarding in the winter. The base of Deer Valley is less than 2 miles away, and The Canyons is only about 4 miles. As one of our guests wrote in a review, 'This is a great rental property, walking distance to both the Park City town and ski slopes (with ski boots on!)'
We picked our home in part because it is in the heart of what makes Park City so great. To get to the free Park City bus, you just walk 3 blocks down 10th Street, to Park Avenue. (And by being close to the bus route but not on it, there are no noisy buses that pass by our home during the evening.) And once you leave the airport in Salt Lake City, you can typically be in our driveway in less than 45 minutes.
The other reason is because it is very large for Old Town. With two distinct master bedroom suites, two distinct living areas (one on the top floor, and the other on the bottom), and two additional bedrooms with bunkbeds, you can enjoy traveling with another family, or with your extended family, without feeling crowded.
For over a dozen years before we bought our home, we rented beautiful VRBO homes in Park City/Deer Valley. Often even large homes have only one master bedroom, and when two families travel together, that can be awkward. It's not an issue here. Each of our master bedrooms is large, with a beautifully finished private bathroom. We also knew we wanted a home with two separate living spaces. Kids can play pool, board games or watch movies in the game room, while the adults enjoy the living room.
Everything in our home was brand new in 2012 (and some things are newer than thatthen), and we have tried to think of everything to make your trip as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. The dining table comfortably seats 8, and bar stools for another 2. The living room and gameroom each have 60 inch HDTV theatre systems with Blu-ray players. The master bedrooms each have 46 inch HDTVs, and speaker systems to charge and listen to your iPhones or iPods. We provide a laser printer and scanner, and it's easy to connect to it via WiFi; whether you have some work that unfortunately will not wait, or you just want to print your boarding pass, you're all set. There is a whole-home humidifier as well, in case any noses in your group are affected by the dry winter air.
There is a pool table in the gameroom, along with a wet bar and mini-fridge. We love to be outside all day when we're in Park City, but there is no shortage of fun things to enjoy at home after a day of skiing, snowboarding, or mountain biking. (In addition to the regular cross-country and downhill mountain biking, The Canyons opened a gravity mountain bike park in 2011, with an ambition to be like Whistler -- it's a lot of fun!)
From pots and pans, to nice kitchen knives, to a wide variety of spices, if you want a break from Park City’s excellent restaurants, you will find our home offers a well stocked kitchen. In each bathroom, you will find a good hair dryer. The laundry room has a full size washer and dryer. And simply because we have had travelers ask, yes, we provide all of the linens and towels you would want during your stay.
If you’re visiting Park City in the summer, you can expect a lot of bright sunshine, with cool desert nights. During the day, it can be warm in July and August, but we have central air conditioning throughout the house, as well as an evaporative cooler (also sometimes called a swamp cooler) for the upper living area. The game room, on the lowest level, remains nice and cool throughout the summer, even with the A/C off.
A few additional things to note --
* If you'd like your kitchen pre-stocked with food, we are happy to arrange that for you for a reasonable service charge.
* This is a 100% non-smoking home.
* We offer our home to adults and to families, with and without children. We are unable to accommodate college students, and the house cannot be used for parties.
* We love pets, but regret that no animals are allowed in our home.
When we decided to buy this home, our goal was to create the place WE want to stay in, and are proud to have our friends visit. We think you'll love it as much as we do.

We've been coming to Park City for years and years, and we finally found the Park City home we wanted to own.
Karen and Brian Burgess purchased this house in 2012
We had a long list of requirements, mainly because we love traveling with other families: Two REAL master bedroom suites; two REAL living spaces, so our kids could enjoy their time with their friends as much as we were enjoying ours; and luxurious finishes, so those rare vacation days really FELT like a vacation. We also wanted to be able to walk everywhere, so it needed to be in the heart of Old Town, and close to everything. We found it!
The guests who have stayed in our home have been so kind to us, and as part of that, some of them have written extremely detailed and helpful reviews. Maybe the best way to get a sense of what makes our home special is to read what they have said.
We stayed at this home the first week of January 2017. The set-up was perfect for multiple families, as there are two master bedrooms, two bunk rooms, a kitchen/living room, and a game room. The place is exactly as described on the website (if not better)! The owners are incredibly organized and attentive. They responded within minutes to any questions we asked about the place. The kitchen is equipped with anything you might need - crock pot, pots/pans, coffee maker. On snowy days, the sidewalks and driveway are plowed by a hired service. It has all the comforts of home...and then some!
The location is ideal. It's a 3 block walk to the town lift and a similar walk to downtown bars/restaurants. The home also includes two parking spots. We had two big SUVs that fit just fine in the garage and the driveway spot.
Two thumbs up for this rental in the heart of Park City. We loved it so much we would stay there again!
This home is an excellent place to stay in the Old Town area of Park City. We had two families with college age kids and the location was perfect to access the ski lifts and downtown without a car. The home had plenty of space for both of our families and the sleeping areas are separated so the adults and college age kids could wake up (or go to bed) at different times and not wake up others. And the owners were outstanding at providing pre-trip advice and attending to any details while we enjoyed staying in their home. They helped make our trip hassle free.
We stayed at Karen and Brian's home Christmas week and had an amazing time! The house was exactly as shown in pictures and very functional for our three-generational group (grandparents, parents, kids). The two master bedrooms and two living areas gave us all the privacy and hang-out space that we needed. This home is located in between the base of Park City Mountain and old town Park City so it was very convenient for skiers and non-skiers to walk to where they needed to go! The house was clean and included many amenities that we used during the trip (fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, fireplace). Brian was always very courteous and responsive with any questions we had before or during our stay.
A few notes from our trip:
1. We didn't rent a car, you don't need one in Park City. The bus is an easy walk away and Uber/Lyft are always readily available.
2. We did Escape Room Park City which was very fun and a nice night out with the family.
3. We loved the Bridge Cafe and Grill right by Town Lift. Food was very good and extremely reasonably priced compared to others in the area. (seating by the door can get cold)
4. We rented skis from White Dog Ski Rentals - a little off the beaten path but very reasonable rates. We arranged for them to pick up our skis at Canyons at the end of the day so it saved us a trip.
5. We used Peak Transportation (as recommended by a previous guest of this house) and found them very reliable and knowledgeable of the area.
6. If you're visiting Park City during peak times, we'd recommend making dinner reservations in advance.
We'd definitely recommend this home and hope to visit again!
Overall experience was excellent. Great customer service to perfect location in Park City, UT. We could walk to town and trails. The house was nicer in person and we had an awesome vacation there. When we return to Park City, hopefully we can stay there again.
Thank you Karen and Brian! Your home was absolutely perfect for our group. We are two families ( 1New York family and 1 California family) that met up for a one week stay at your place in Park City. The two master suites along with the other two bedrooms provided plenty of space and privacy for everyone in our group. The game room on the lowest level was a big hit with the kids which allowed for plenty of time for the adults to relax in the upper level living area. The home was immaculate accompanied by every needed amenity. Access to and from "Town Lift" was very convenient for the entire group. A key feature for our group when selecting a home was that the home have access to and from the mountain via the two legs that God gave each of us! This home provided this access via a 7-10 minute walk.
We also took a day trip out to Snowbird that was less than an hours drive from this home.
This home also provided access to the shops and restaurants within walking distance
( approx 10 minutes).
We will 100% stay at this home again next season!
Thank you again,
Chris and Jacinta

Vacationed here early March 2016; 7 guys, 3 father/son combinations and one other. Property is a large duplex, conveniently located on Empire Ave. about equidistant from the Town Lift/High West Distillery and Park City Base Lodge. I would estimate a 350-400 yard walk to either. Empire Ave. is on a hill, so certainly easier walk down than up. The uphill gets your heart pumping a bit, but not a big deal and one building lot away is the 10th Street staircase to Park Ave. and a transit stop. Convenient.
The home is as advertised and the pictures are accurate. Clean, comfortable, well appointed. Karen & Brian were communicative in all phases of the rental process and stay. In fact, we got to meet Karen briefly when we arrived. Charming. Comfortable beds, with modern finishings. Plentiful and luxurious towels. Plenty of hot water for the 3 showers. Upstairs master shower is huge. Modern TV's throughout. Strong WIFI. Small pool table on lowest floor with adjacent small bar/kitchen. Private deck and hot tub off of that level. Hot tub up to date; realistically fits 3; 4 doable, but is tight. Main living/gathering space fit the 7 of us fine, with two of us either standing at kitchen counter or sitting at dining table. Comfortable chairs/couch. You can see the large TV from anywhere in the room. But, what we were most appreciative of was the well equipped and modern kitchen. (Two of us make a living as chefs - one an owner of a restaurant and the other his son who cooks at a high end restaurant in CT. So when we say it was well equipped, it was well equipped.) All matching plates/cups from Crate and Barrel. Terrific pots, pans, utensils, bowls, towels, sponges. coffee maker, microwave, blender and toaster. Plenty of dishes, glasses, etc. Of special note...the chefs wanted me to write this...were the good quality wine glasses. Honestly, there wasn't one thing we needed that wasn't there.
Anyone who rents vacation homes knows the nuisance and cost of not having enough of the basic provisions when you arrive - salt, pepper, cooking oil, olive oil, syrup, spices, paper goods, toilet paper, dish soap, shampoo. You often have to buy them, then leave behind or throw away 3/4 of it when you depart. Not a problem here. The basics and more are fully in stock. So, so convenient and welcoming. Finally, Karen and Brian had a gift basket delivered with sweets and treats. Nice touch and thoughtful. If you're looking for a turnkey stay in PC, look hard at their home.
Our home is an easy walk to Main Street, or to the base of Park City Mountain Resort -- and it's a short ride on the free Park City bus to The Canyons (4 miles) or Deer Valley (less than 2 miles).
