This large, luxurious, and updated home is right in the heart of Old Town. A short 4-block walk takes you to Main Street for dinner or shopping, and it's just as close to the base of Park City Mountain Resort for skiing or snowboarding in the winter. The base of Deer Valley is less than 2 miles away, and The Canyons is only about 4 miles. As one of our guests wrote in a review, 'This is a great rental property, walking distance to both the Park City town and ski slopes (with ski boots on!)'

We picked our home in part because it is in the heart of what makes Park City so great. To get to the free Park City bus, you just walk 3 blocks down 10th Street, to Park Avenue. (And by being close to the bus route but not on it, there are no noisy buses that pass by our home during the evening.) And once you leave the airport in Salt Lake City, you can typically be in our driveway in less than 45 minutes.

The other reason is because it is very large for Old Town. With two distinct master bedroom suites, two distinct living areas (one on the top floor, and the other on the bottom), and two additional bedrooms with bunkbeds, you can enjoy traveling with another family, or with your extended family, without feeling crowded.

For over a dozen years before we bought our home, we rented beautiful VRBO homes in Park City/Deer Valley. Often even large homes have only one master bedroom, and when two families travel together, that can be awkward. It's not an issue here. Each of our master bedrooms is large, with a beautifully finished private bathroom. We also knew we wanted a home with two separate living spaces. Kids can play pool, board games or watch movies in the game room, while the adults enjoy the living room.

Everything in our home was brand new in 2012 (and some things are newer than thatthen), and we have tried to think of everything to make your trip as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. The dining table comfortably seats 8, and bar stools for another 2. The living room and gameroom each have 60 inch HDTV theatre systems with Blu-ray players. The master bedrooms each have 46 inch HDTVs, and speaker systems to charge and listen to your iPhones or iPods. We provide a laser printer and scanner, and it's easy to connect to it via WiFi; whether you have some work that unfortunately will not wait, or you just want to print your boarding pass, you're all set. There is a whole-home humidifier as well, in case any noses in your group are affected by the dry winter air.

There is a pool table in the gameroom, along with a wet bar and mini-fridge. We love to be outside all day when we're in Park City, but there is no shortage of fun things to enjoy at home after a day of skiing, snowboarding, or mountain biking. (In addition to the regular cross-country and downhill mountain biking, The Canyons opened a gravity mountain bike park in 2011, with an ambition to be like Whistler -- it's a lot of fun!)

From pots and pans, to nice kitchen knives, to a wide variety of spices, if you want a break from Park City’s excellent restaurants, you will find our home offers a well stocked kitchen. In each bathroom, you will find a good hair dryer. The laundry room has a full size washer and dryer. And simply because we have had travelers ask, yes, we provide all of the linens and towels you would want during your stay.

If you’re visiting Park City in the summer, you can expect a lot of bright sunshine, with cool desert nights. During the day, it can be warm in July and August, but we have central air conditioning throughout the house, as well as an evaporative cooler (also sometimes called a swamp cooler) for the upper living area. The game room, on the lowest level, remains nice and cool throughout the summer, even with the A/C off.

A few additional things to note --

* If you'd like your kitchen pre-stocked with food, we are happy to arrange that for you for a reasonable service charge.

* This is a 100% non-smoking home.

* We offer our home to adults and to families, with and without children. We are unable to accommodate college students, and the house cannot be used for parties.

* We love pets, but regret that no animals are allowed in our home.

When we decided to buy this home, our goal was to create the place WE want to stay in, and are proud to have our friends visit. We think you'll love it as much as we do.

Why Karen and Brian Burgess chose Park City area

We had a long list of requirements, mainly because we love traveling with other families: Two REAL master bedroom suites; two REAL living spaces, so our kids could enjoy their time with their friends as much as we were enjoying ours; and luxurious finishes, so those rare vacation days really FELT like a vacation. We also wanted to be able to walk everywhere, so it needed to be in the heart of Old Town, and close to everything. We found it!

Great Location and Awesome House

We had a group of 4 couples and it was the perfect size. The location could not be better, walking distance to the slopes and to town. Karen and Brian were really helpful and very responsive. Overall a great stay!

Great Sundance Experience

We've had cast for our previous movie stay at Brian and Karen's house so we knew that it would be a lovely spot again for this year. The house is cozy and comfortable, an easy walk from main street. Brian and Karen were very easy to communicate and work with and were especially accommodating considering we had a couple date changes because cast ended up staying longer than anticipated. We did have a small issue with one of the bunk beds, but I believe Brian has already taken care of it. Overall it was a great experience and our cast had a great time.

Beautiful home in heart of Park City. Walkable to lifts. Can't get much better than this!

We stayed at this home the first week of January 2017. The set-up was perfect for multiple families, as there are two master bedrooms, two bunk rooms, a kitchen/living room, and a game room. The place is exactly as described on the website (if not better)! The owners are incredibly organized and attentive. They responded within minutes to any questions we asked about the place. The kitchen is equipped with anything you might need - crock pot, pots/pans, coffee maker. On snowy days, the sidewalks and driveway are plowed by a hired service. It has all the comforts of home...and then some!

The location is ideal. It's a 3 block walk to the town lift and a similar walk to downtown bars/restaurants. The home also includes two parking spots. We had two big SUVs that fit just fine in the garage and the driveway spot.

Two thumbs up for this rental in the heart of Park City. We loved it so much we would stay there again!

Great location, plenty of space and excellent service from the owners

This home is an excellent place to stay in the Old Town area of Park City. We had two families with college age kids and the location was perfect to access the ski lifts and downtown without a car. The home had plenty of space for both of our families and the sleeping areas are separated so the adults and college age kids could wake up (or go to bed) at different times and not wake up others. And the owners were outstanding at providing pre-trip advice and attending to any details while we enjoyed staying in their home. They helped make our trip hassle free.
