About Yanique Redwood
My husband and I live and work in Washington, DC. I am from Jamaica, and he is from Miami, Florida. We have two young adult children, and we love to travel (and eat while traveling!), read and spend time with family (especially while traveling!)
Yanique Redwood purchased this Villa in 2016
Why Yanique Redwood chose Montego Bay
When we considered where we might buy a vacation home, a couple of places in the Caribbean came to mind, but it didn't take long to decide that it had to be Jamaica! We have traveled all over the Caribbean, but we haven't found the same combination of great weather, beaches, culture and food.
What makes this Villa unique
When we walked through the front door with the realtor, the view of Montego Bay through the verandah doors took our breath away. We had to take a few steps back in order to digest it all. We continue to pinch ourselves. The verandah has become our favorite place on the entire property. We wake up super early just to sit and take in the view. The nighttime view of the city lights is also spectacular. In addition, we love the light-filled, breezy spaces throughout the house and the high ceilings, hardwood and ceramic floors and traditional louvre windows. And did we mention the views from every bedroom? Although we were encouraged to buy in one of the popular subdivisions close to the resorts, we wanted a home that was tucked away from the hustle and bustle yet close to all that Montego Bay has to offer. The fact that the villa used to be owned by a famous painter--Michael Lester--was an added bonus. We have two signed reprints of his work in the foyer for your enjoyment.

My family of 8 had an AWESOME vacation at Pont of Villa Spa. This was our first international trip and it was AMAZING!! The staff was friendly, professional and always read to assist. We all felt at home and will be visiting this property again.
Mountain Top View
Very wonderful experience to get away from the city life and wake up to a beautiful ocean and sunset view.
First of all, Yanique and staff are so friends, organized and go out of there way to make your stay enjoyable. The view is stunning. The road to the villa is challenging but fun excursions await at the bottom of the hill. The luminescent tour and visit to Negril were highlights. Strongly recommend this house as a great way to experience all the wonders of Jamaica.
Overall the experience was first class! The venue, the staff, and the view was outstanding! Woke up every morning to a great breakfast by Ms. Cordella followed by perfect recommendations from Yunique and Ronnie for things to do. Very friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to come back!
Couldn't ask for More
This unexpected gem nestled on the hillside gives a quaint yet sprawling feel.
The View of Montego Bay and it's surroundings breathtaking. The property and amenities prestine, with exceptional staff that make you feel oh so at home.
Can't wait to revisit
Point of View Villa & Spa provides tranquility, breathtaking views, indoor/outdoor living, beauty and a sense of being home! From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Ms. Cordella and Lorraine. They were truly accommodating the entire length of our stay and always made sure we were taken care of. I traveled with 5 other ladies and we collectively had the same sentiments about Point of View. I stayed in the Oasis room which is a separate villa from the main house, but still very close. The room, closet and bathroom were so spacious! The amenities are just as they are pictured/described on the website. Ms. Cordella and Lorraine cooked savory authentic Jamaican dishes that left you wanting seconds and thirds! My experience at Point of View has left a lasting impression that is sure to bring me back soon!
