Beautiful

  • 4 of 5

This property was beautiful. A couple of things I would recommend would be to have dish soap available in order to clean up after meals. The dusting was also lacking in the house, so that could be improved. I will definitely be using homeaway on our next family vacation

Cabin is Awesome!

  • 4 of 5

The owner and the actual cabin are awesome, like the rest of the reviews the beds need replaced. We left a day early over the beds. Cripple Creek is a nice little town, a little out of the way (the highway scared me a little) but the town and surroundings was awesome, location was a little out of the way, but again a very nice place, out of main stream, casino's very close, there is a nice grocery store near. Anyway, the cabin looks better than in the pictures, lovely kitchen, decks are great. That said anyone that can not do stairs do not rent this place. There are abundance of stairs, mixed with elevation it was a little trying. The drive way was a challenge, we had a huge conversion van and had to back the van down the drive. A small car could possible turn to come back down. The cabin was clean, neat, well kept, but the beds kept it from a 5 star rating. The movies are a great touch, I did miss having the local news for the weather, but it was a nice way to unplug. Bill answered the phone when I needed him, worked with us on a check in time. I could not have ask for a better person to rent from. We had to make a quick run after 15 hours of traveling over toilet paper, but I am putting that off on the cleaning crew. Thank You Bill for being great and working with us. We enjoyed your cabin, just consider replacing the mattresses.

Best view in Cripple Creek

  • 4 of 5

We drove up with two other couples to this gorgeous property. When we first arrived the property hadn't been cleaned, but I called Bill who apologized stating that the cleaning crew must have no-showed on him. Within two hours Bill showed up in person to clean, admittedly, we were skeptical at first but he did a fast, thorough, and very professional job. It made sense when he told us that he used to run a bed and breakfast. The cabin was spectacular! It doesn't have a washer/dryer or hot tub which was indicated somewhere in the homeaway profile, but we very thoroughly enjoyed our time grilling on the gorgeous wrap around deck. We definitely recommend the Molly Kathleen mine if you've never been to a mine and Maggie's for breakfast/lunch. Overall, we really enjoyed the opportunity to stay at this beautiful property . Thanks for the hospitality Bill!
