Kailua-Kona Condo Rental Photos and Description

Relax and pamper yourself in luxury in this well-appointed condo with wonderful ocean views. This is NOT your average condo rental!

This condo has gone through an extensive high-end renovation and interior decoration. New kitchen cabinets, bathroom, tile floors and much more.

We are close, but not too close to the many shops and ocean front restaurants on Alii Drive. (A very short walk with-out the extra noise of Alii Drive). The farmer’s market is just around the corner where you can find fresh locally grown produce.

A ½ mile walk to the sandy beach by the King Kamehameha’s Beach Hotel and Kailua Pier, the start of the Ironman Triathlon World Championship. By the pier you can rent stand-up paddle boards or take the 5 minute boat ride to the Atlantis Submarine tour.

With the fresh Ocean breezes and new overhead fans, most guests will never choose to use the included Air Conditioning.

Designed to easily accommodate 2 to 4 people. The couch pulls out to a very comfortable queen-size sleeper and the bedroom can quickly be closed off from the living area by sliding out the Japanese Shoji doors.

The granite top kitchen bar seats 4 people with the beautiful teak bar stools.

Even the bathroom features a double sink vanity with granite top.

Accessorized with all sorts of knives, mixing bowls, rice cooker and so forth to satisfy the gourmet chef.

Feel free to make free local and long distance phone calls to anywhere in the USA or Canada. We also feature free secure WiFi internet, DVD Blue-Ray player and even Netflix and Pandora Radio. We have a selection of books, games and DVD movies.

There are Flat-Screen TV’s in both the Living area and bedroom.

We have beach chairs, boogie board, beach mats, ice chest and so forth for you to use during your stay.

The rebuilding of Saint Michael's Church is complete and all construction has finished. It is a beautiful Church and we still have a wonderful ocean view!

Why Trent Dockstetter chose Kona Coast

Because we love the Kailua-Kona area so much, we bought this Condo as our second home. Although we went way over-budget renovating and decorating, that’s OK because we enjoy staying here ourselves so much and we want others to enjoy it too. This is not just a rental property to us, it is our home.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Everything was fantasic! I stayed at your condo to attend a business school class. My course was right across the street and your condo is nice and clean and new!

The only bad thing was that I was in classes from 8 to 5 everyday and all weekend I was studying! Perfect location and I was impressed with everything you have here!

Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time to Big Island and we are so happy to have found this listing. The condo was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It is in a great location - with lots of food and shopping options within walking distance. Great location to do day drives to places we wanted to snorkel, hike and explore as well. The condo was quiet and very safe. Trent (owner) was great at communicating from the beginning of our booking and throughout our trip, he offered lots of ideas and tips for activities (DO THE MANTA RAY NIGHT DIVE!). Thanks Trent for sharing your space with us! Kathy (cleaner/resident in building) was also a real nice and helpful as well. Can't wait to come back!

Beautiful Condo

  • 5 of 5

Condo is beautiful and just as described. Unit was clean and well organized. Location is perfect for walking to many nearby restaurants & activities. The owner, Trent, is wonderful to work with. He kept in contact with us before, during and after our stay. We used to scuba dive in Kona, in our younger days. Now we are letterboxers and had a great time hunting down and discovering letterboxes all over the island. If interested you can contact for letterboxing information.

Perfect place to stay in Kona

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay at this delightful view condo just a block from the ocean. The owners have thoughtfully provided everything guests could want: a well-equipped kitchen, entertainment center and internet, a library, generous supply of linens, and even totes, towels and chairs for a day at the beach. The location is perfect - a short walk from beach-front restaurants, art galleries, a shopping mall, historical sites, and the open-air market and a great dive shop. We'll be back!

Ideal location with beautiful view! (Kailua Kona Condo)

  • 5 of 5

This condo has been perfect for us. It is in a good central location: only 10-15 minutes from the Kona International airport, a 5 minute walk away from Alli Drive (fun shopping and restaurants), 2 minutes from St. Michael the Archangel Church, 5 minutes from a bike rental shop and the Old Kona Airport beach (beautiful sunsets!!), 40 minutes away from Hononaunau beach (where you can see Manta Rays, Dolphins, Sea Turtles and colorful fish while snorkeling!), and 2 hours away (a beautiful scenic drive along the southwest coast) from Volcano National Park - a must see! (costs $20 to enter, but well worth it - take the Crater Rim Drive and see all the craters and then the Sea Arch at the end). We actually rented bikes for our second day in Volcano National Park, so that we could make it down the 8 mile (long, hot, and a bit hilly)road - beside the Sea Arch - to see the lava flowing into the ocean. Start this trek late to avoid the heat! We went at 5 pm on bikes and got there at 6 pm just in time for the sunset, and to see the lava glowing red in the dark.(walking takes 2 hrs one way). So amazing!! I wouldn't recommend this road for the elderly, or anyone with poor health or heart/lung problems, as it is very strenuous and hot - need lots of water/electrolytes to help you make it!!. By staying in this Kona condo, we felt safe leaving our stuff and going on day trips. It is well protected. Kathy ( who helps take care of it) is very friendly and helpful. The owner, Trent, is very responsive to emails and is very nice. This condo has air conditioning, and a beautiful view of the ocean. So nice to come back to after being out all day. Nice and quiet at night. I highly recommend this condo. It even has a little swimming pool out back and a laundromat.

Truly felt at home

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I came to Kona to scuba dive, see the Kilauea volcano, and search for the perfect beach. The condo was a fabulous base. It is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated, and has a charming lanai with a great view of the water. Great kitchen, which allowed us to eat well for a week with just $125 worth of groceries from Costco. Wonderful location, just a block from the biggest scuba dive shop on the island (Jack's Dive Locker), the beach by the Courtyard, and Alii drive, yet remarkably quiet at night. Good A/C and delightful ocean breezes if you leave the front and rear doors open and use the screens instead. And the condo was supplied with everything we needed, from folding chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, and plenty of thick towels for the beach, to binoculars and Tupperware for our day trip to the volcano, to a great collection of books about Hawaii marine life and culture. The parking spot is right in front of the elevator, and there is even a high pressure water hose in the parking lot (by the swimming pool), that is perfect for rinsing scuba gear. The owner, Trent, is an avid diver himself, and gave us excellent advice on shore diving sites. We were lucky enough to meet him in person, as he was on the island for a visit, and got to spend a day diving with him. A good guy with a great sense of humor and an appreciation for Hawaii. He was in touch with us early and often before the trip, and made sure we had a great stay. We couldn't be happier with the condo, and are already planning our next trip -- literally.

And by the way, the perfect beach is Hapuna.

Better than the photos

  • 5 of 5

This condo was the best part of our stay in Kona, which is really saying something because Kona has alot to offer. The view is great, the appliances, furniture and finishes are new and very clean, and everything we ran out of or forgot to bring, Trent had remembered to supply. Insect repellant, sunscreen, beach towels, guidebooks, thermos, and much more. All for less than the average cost of a hotel room!

Thank you Trent!
