This property offers a total of six bedrooms, two kitchens, two living/dining areas, two downstairs deck areas, and two small balcony areas upstairs. You step down from your deck directly onto the beach from each downstairs deck. The kitchens are fully equipped with range, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, washer, and dryer. The bar between the kitchens and dining areas have seating for four with additional seating for six at the dining table. Each living room has flat screen TV, DVD player, and WIFI. The downstairs bedroom on the A side contains a Queen bed and the B side downstairs bedroom a King. The downstairs bath is just outside the bedroom door on both sides. The downstairs deck is screened on both sides. The two other bedrooms are located upstairs. The A side has two beachside bedrooms upstairs and the bathrooms are en suite for each of these. There is a King bed in the west beachside bedroom and two Fulls in the east beachside room. The B side has one beachside upstairs bedroom that has a King bed with an en suite 1/2 bath. The street side upstairs bedroom in B has one Full and 1 Twin trundle bed with an en suite 1/2 bath. The bathing is a Jack and Jill area accessible from each 1/2 bath.
Our family returned to VRBO #428989 again this year for several reasons. First, we love the beayty of the white sand and clear water found on this beach. This year it was spectacular. Next, we want to stay ON the beach, not across the street and certainly not farther down in the back of the neighborhood. Lastly, this house is very affordable and accommodates our family of 11. (We've even had 13 with 5 under 5 years old.) it's a perfect house for a family with small children, because parents can easily go back and forth from the beach to the house with ease. We can't wait to return next year. Thank you to the owner and agent for continuing to allow us to return year after year.
We selected this beach house for our annual family reunion and it was just perfect. With our six siblings, the duplex layout gave us the opportunity for both togetherness and privacy. One of the duplex kitchens was bigger than the other and this suited us as well. The view and nearness to the beach was spectacular and the price was within our budget.
Best of all was the service of the manager Mysti. She was very attentive from the beginning and followed through when needed.
This will definitely be our go to house for our future beach reunions.
My family gets together ever year for a beach vacation and this year we stayed at Gulf Trace and had a great time. The location was perfect, not in the middle of the crowds but close enough to enjoy the activities of Destin or the quaint surrounding communities...and we couldn't have asked for better weather...the water was beautiful. We rented both sides and had plenty of parking and it was really nice having two washers/dryers and refrigerators :) It was so nice to meet Mysti, she was very helpful and responded quickly to my many questions from start to finish. We are already planning our trip back next year.
We spent 9 weeks in Gulf Trace this past winter and loved every minute of it. It is the epitamy of a beach house; magnificient view, on the sand, (a virtually private beach) screened porch and open decks to enjoy in every weather. The house is comfortable, roomy, and accommodates groups with ease. Convenient to Seaside and Sandestin, yet located in private enclave of homes with little traffic. Mysti is delightful and efficient manager of the property. We didn’t want to leave. This was our second year, and we will be back next year.

Our family first came here in 1986 packing 4 families into Side A. It was a fabulous summer week. Until five years ago we would come for spring breaks, sometimes Thanksgiving week, and several times Christmas week as well as occasional summer weeks. Five years ago I was lucky enough to retire and now get to come for two months in the winter/spring. My little kids who used to hunt for crabs with their flashlights, fly kites on the beach, be proud of their shell finds, and make abundant new friends in this family friendly subdivision, now love to come here with their own children. This place has had a special place in our hearts for a long time and we were so happy that the new owners purchased it last year and hope they will get to enjoy it and make memories like we have.
Both sides were remodeled a couple of years ago. We are literally right ON the gulf with the best view ever. There are no commercial or tall buildings in our subdivision, but quaint Grayton Beach and the Seaside/Water Color communities as well as all the locally owned Highway 30-A restaurants (no MacDonalds for us!) are within 1-8 miles. Traffic is minimal along Highway 30-A. The grocery is only 6-7 miles and even Walmart is only 11 miles. So, if you HAVE to leave the house, everything is nearby. There are also lots of golf courses in the area.
Mysti, the leasing agent, is wonderful to deal with. Very efficient and friendly and always responds immediately if there is a slight problem.
I prefer the B side which has a king bed in a nice large bedroom on the main level. That way I can put the "kids" upstairs. They can sleep late if they want or put their children down for naps, and I don't have to be the "clean room inspector" the entire time they're here! Another benefit is the parking just outside the foyer door. It's really easy to unpack the trunk and unload groceries. No steps!
We make this beach house our home for one month at a time and are quite comfortable.
We have been coming here for more years than we can exactly pinpoint.
We have stayed on both sides, but have a slight preference to the “B” side layout.
The thing we miss most about the “A” side is the superb sunset view from the swing on the deck.
The fact that we typically book for the following year before we leave each year, is probably the most telling thing about how we feel about this beach house. Our friends and family LOVE coming to visit us here. It’s now on everyone’s calendar and has become a tradition. This place has been a big part of making it special.
Very simply, if you love the beach…..this location is stellar. Homes in the area that are valued in the multimillions do not have any advantage in beach access or location. It’s just the best in that regard.
Mysti and the owners have been responsive to any issues that have ever popped up. I appreciate that they keep the lines of communication open for any questions. During this visit, we got a message from Mysti to keep an eye on the weather in case a developing storm in the Gulf might turn into a hurricane in the next few days. That storm did not worsen, but it was nice to get the “heads up”.
To summarize our feelings……… we are ready to get booked for next year and do it all over again.
Private residential area off scenic 30A and close to Destin, Grayton Beach, and Panama City Beach. Located on the Gulf and a short distance from the Choctawhatchee Bay for both salt and fresh water environment.
