Overview

Coastal Oregon Condo Rental Photos and Description

This spectacular oceanfront condominium has one-of-a kind panoramic views of the ever changing white waters of the Pacific Ocean. It is a newly renovated and a well appointed 2 bedroom 2 bath unit on the third level of the B building in the highly desired Rainbow Rock Resort. This gated community boasts a private beach with a fully landscaped flowering trail to the secluded beach below as well as a lush fern rainforest trail that welcomes visitors to the notable Oregon Coast Trail. This trail begins at the mouth of the Columbia River and extends to the California/Oregon border.

Approximately 1100 SF the 2BR/ 2BA third floor unit is in the quiet 'B' building and features vaulted ceilings, bright hallway skylight and full size washer and dryer. The large master bedroom highlights a new comfortable king size bed with luxurious linens a 24 inch flat screen t.v., walk in closet, ensuite bath, and an eclectic mix of new and antique furniture The second bedroom has a new wonderful queen size bed that continues the same design aesthetic. Crisp, fresh white bed and bath linens are included in your stay. The vaulted living room is uncluttered and homey with a 40 inch flat screen t.v. with satellite cable connection or a watch a movie on the DVD player provided. From the large picture window, dinning room sliding doors or the glass railed deck, enjoy views of the ever changing tide pools below or the magical hills to the east or California coastal range to the distant south. The dining room seats four for dinner or for playing games from our supply of favorites. The kitchen contains everything one needs to prepare meals including pots, pans, microwave, coffee maker, mixer, and dishwasher or, if you prefer, you can always grill out on the deck. Bright, airy and modern renovations including paint, new carpet, blinds and updated cabinetry were completed 3, 2012.

The location, views, access to outdoor recreation and overall 'feeling' of our community is unmatched on the West Coast. You will probably choose not to leave the resort, but if you do here are some of the things you can enjoy during your stay. The private trail, to the ocean and beach below, is only used by owners and resort guests. Property is directly adjacent to the Samuel H Boardman State Park and the Oregon Coastal Trail traverses the property. World-class hiking directly from our community including the flowered private trail and the Oregon Coastal Trail that meanders through the fern / coastal forest.

Our unit is designed to provide the right balance of comfortable (yet luxurious) living while the location provides access to world-class outdoor activity.

Fish directly from the private beach, surf perch to the whitewater south and Rock Fish to the West / Southwest. Lone Ranch beach is 1/2 mile north and provides an excellent opportunity to Kayak (rentals available in Brookings). Unparalleled freshwater fishing on the Winchuk - 8 mi, Chetco - 4 mi and Smith River 25 mi is at your doorstep while saltwater fishing charters can be booked at Brookings Harbor - 4 mi.

If you decide to venture out, visit the wild beaches at Pistol River - 17 mi North. Several professional windsurfing events are held here and the drift wood piles make it especially interesting. Pistol River also provides solid entry points for kayaking down this calm river. 7 miles north is Gold Beach and the Rogue River, catch a jet boat from Jerry's Rogue Jets (at the harbor) for a truly memorable experience. Brookings is a a quaint community with several good restaurants and shops for anything that you would need.

Other points of interest include Redwood National Park - 40 mi, Jedediah Smith St Park - 25 miles, Oregon Caves National Monument - 87 miles, Mt Ashland Snow Skiiing - 137 miles and Crater Lake National Park - 198 miles.

Absolutely no doubts that our unit, and location on the Wild Rivers coast, will make for the best vacation that you and your family could have - truly memorable.

Sorry, absolutely no pets or smoking in this unit.

Due to our condo rules we require a 2 night minimum, and during the high season we require a 3 night minimum for a weekend stay.

Thanks for looking, we look forward to welcoming you to our 'home away from home'.

About Dana Barrow

My wife and I live in the Northern California foothills and enjoy travel, art, fishing (me) and old cars (me). I work in the technology field and my wife is an accomplished ceramic artist. I originally hailed from Mobile Alabama and my wife from Baltimore Md. We enjoy trips to the California and Oregon coast and this unit exceeded everything that we could have wanted.

Dana Barrow purchased this condo in 2012

Why Dana Barrow chose Coastal Oregon

Searched the Gulf Coast and West Coast from Hawaii to California to Washington. Found that the location at Rainbow Rock was perfect, close enough to town but will secluded. Unparalleled ocean views, outstanding owners, pride of ownership and world-class location. Unit itself, at 1100sf, provides right amount of space while not being overwhelming. Fishing, hiking, relaxing, kayaking, boating, National Parks - it's all right here.

What makes this condo unique

Quiet community, close to town of Brookings. We have traveled extensively and can honestly say that this is the most relaxing place we have ever stayed. One of the best locations to whale watch during the Gray whale season.

Amazing view!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this oceanfront condo over the past few days. What an incredible view! The bed and furniture were super comfy and the kitchen, baths, and laundry area well-appointed and everything spotless. We had a few days with great weather, which made beach combing at the nearby private beach and other beaches in the area fun and relaxing. We also spent hours on the balcony and living room just hanging out enjoying the peace and quiet of the area. We are definitely refreshed after spending our time in Brookings and look forward to a future return. Thanks for sharing :)

My husband and I had a wonderful 3-night stay here and only wish we could have stayed longer! The view was even better than expected, the private beach was amazing, and the property itself was very comfortable, well-furnished, and had everything we could possibly need.

Outstanding location and fabulous views

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent a wonderful 3 nights at this fantastic Homeaway location in Brookings. We were completely satisfied with the condo in every way. It is very well furnished, with many upgrades and some very lovely art. It is obvious the owner takes great pride when you see all the little touches that make it feel like home.

The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable and we heard absolutely no noise over night or for that matter during the day. The only small downside is a bright light outside the bedroom window that lights the stairway.

The kitchen is very well appointed and has everything needed to prepare most any meal. The living room and dining room both have very comfortable furnishings and much higher quality than typical rental properties. The view to the coast and beach are quite impressive.

While on site we examined the other building locations and setup and although there are really no bad places, this building seemed to have the best angles and the nicest balcony. Not all buildings were built in the same way.

Parking could be found right outside the building, near the stairs, and having a gate remote for entry into the secured property was a big plus.

The property is an easy drive into town. There is shopping just a few minutes away at Fred Meyer and they have good gas prices also. Don’t miss the opportunity to so a Jetboat trip up the Rogue River from Gold Beach. There are many places to dine in town. The owner has supplied some great information on local places to eat and have fun. Of course, the path to the beach is an awesome experience, especially the walk back up :) .

I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet comfortable place to enjoy the beautiful Oregon Coast.

We are already making plans to return for a longer stay.

Incredible!!!

We stayed in this incredibly clean, beautiful condo with an amazing view! From the moment we contacted the owners, they were so helpful and friendly. Access to the condo and the surrounding area was exceptionally easy. The path and walkways to the beach were so enjoyable, we did every day of our stay. We will definitely return to this condo again in the very near future!

Rarely are things in life better than expected, but the stay at the condo was. Everything went very smoothly, from reserving it to checking in. The view is amazing. We saw whales almost every day, and were amazed at how close they were. The condo is clean, and had everything you need. I have never written a review before for anything, but feel I need to let you know, if you are considering a condo in Brookings, you will be very pleased.
