Owner is a descendant of the Albuquerque 1706 founding families. A respected professional with the Albuquerque Public Schools
Pauline purchased this House in 1900
Why Pauline chose West Old Town
My vision, as an owner, has been to provide out-of-towners with a property that reflects the history of Albuquerque and New Mexico and is just minutes away from a tremendous amount of important and historic sites, including museums, parks, shops, US Hwy 66 and more!
What makes this House unique
Sitting in the heart of the city, the oldest neighborhood (unplanned), historic, zoned agriculture/ mixed. This property's location makes a family vacation or a business trip convenient, accessible, enjoyable and memorable, just steps away from city transportation, or numerous area activities. Only 1 mile from the Convention Center, and 3 miles from UNM. Easy bus transportation to the Airport 5 miles away. For a daily dose of Albuquerque pictures (as well as local commentary), see the Duke City Fix web site. Photos are posted on the Albuquerque Photo Gallery near the top of the DCF home page. People post new ones daily, and there are often spectacular shots of the Albuquerque scenery.

This is a fantastic location, you can walk everywhere and so close to Old Town. Cute home with lot's of historical touches. I read about the floors and walls being off well that is a classic old adobe style home for you and it is awesome! All the buildings in Old Town are this way so enjoy it! My only suggestion if I could think of one is remove the unworking dish washer to create more space in the kitchen. Thank you for letting us stay!
Very pleased you noted the unique features of this old remodeled adobe and valued it. (As I) Since kitchen remodeled was within adobe wall confines, at finish we discovered dish washer fit, but counter top slightly shorter than would allow lock to work. We decided to leave new never used dishwasher, so that utensils could be placed for drying and storage away from counter top. Thank you for your positive review and of course your stay! Hope you return soon- ya'll were great guests! Happy Summer - Pauline
Good location, freeway access. Needs cleaning & ant extermination
Near great restaurants and shops great location
Thanks for stay, and agreed that the location is very convenient to all. It is helpful if complaint is specific on what is amiss in cleaning, as home is cleaned before each guest arrives. The few ants now observed came from a lot next door, now addressed. Wishes for an enjoyable Summer! Pauline
comfort in ABQ
This home was so convenient to our convention and provided a comfortable retreat at the end of the day. It was clean, cool and provided everything we needed.
Guests left home organized and in good order. Very nice to host would very much like to see them return. Thank you very much. Pauline
We loved being in walking distance to Old Town. We also enjoyed spending time on the nice patio with the gorgeous weather. There wasn't enough room in one of the bedrooms to use the pull out couch as there wasn't enough room to open it. Luckily there was another pull out couch in the living room. Other than that there was enough space for our party of 5 and was stocked with everything we needed.
Sally & guests left home in good order. There are a total of ( 4) pull out sofa's only one if needed, has to be shifted, and a chair moved to open, otherwise with the 3 bedroom beds, and other sofa's in the past for a group of 5 had been sufficient. If occasion to return to Albuquerque, all are welcome back and thanks for the say. Pauline
The house was very clean and pleasant. I definitely recommend it!
Excellent guests who left everything in good order. Very pleased to host such positive guests. Thank You. Pauline
