Located in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, just off the Royal Mile this home from home is a light and airy period property. It offers unrivalled access to all that Edinburgh has to offer: among others, the Castle, the Palace, John Knox’s House, St Giles' Cathedral and the Scottish Parliament are all within easy walking distance. There are some great bars and restaurants in the area but, if you want to dine at home, the flat boasts a fully equipped kitchen with everything you might need to prepare a home cooked meal.

St Mary's Street: St Mary's Street has two award winning restaurants, Empires, a warm and inviting Turkish haven and Stac Polly, a beautifully decorated dining room serving exquisitely prepared Scottish delights. And local pubs the Waverley and the World’s End each have bags of character. There are supermarkets in the area but the closest grocery shop is just at the end of the road on the Royal Mile.

Beaches: Edinburgh’s closest beach is at Portobello, a 10-minute drive from the centre. A little further afield, within a 20-minute drive you will find Seton Sands and further still (40-minute drive) Aberdour's Silver Sands (my favourite beach in the area). The East Coast, within a 30-minute drive towards North Berwick, also has beautiful beaches to explore

Golf facilities: The home of golf, St Andrew's is a 90-minute drive away and well whether a visit whether you are a golf enthusiast or not. The golf course and University are world famous and the beaches are beautiful.

Excellent location, comfortable space

We had a great 2 week stay in Edinburgh. Most of the stay it was me and my 2 teenagers, with my husband joining us for the last 3 days. We had plenty of space for the 4 of us, and the flat had all that we needed. I worked most days, and the sunny view from the living room down onto St. Mary's St. made for an excellent "office". My son played tennis at The Meadows and my daughter explored the city on foot. Everything we wanted to see and do, including the castle, Arthur's Seat, Calton Hill, Stockbridge, and Grassmarket, was within walking distance except for Portobello Beach, which we rode to on the city bus. There were plenty of towels, sheets, blankets, and pillows provided, and the apartment was clean and tidy when we arrived. Andrew provided helpful information before we arrived and answered our questions promptly. All in all -- we loved our stay in Edinburgh!

Great location and plenty of space

We enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh and the flat has a great location with plenty of space (traveling with family of 7). Everything was neat and in order and easy to find. We arrived via bus from the airport and it was a short walk to the flat. It was late so we grabbed some pizza from around the corner which was outstanding.

The hot water was a little tricky but it didn't take long to figure out (make sure it's not set too high or the safety breaker kicks in) and Andrew was always responsive to email. Edinburgh is a beautiful city and this was a great place to come back to at the end of the day. Thanks Andrew!

Very Central in Old Town.

Inside the apartment was clean, warm and with a well equipped kitchen. Some of the furniture was a little flimsy but served a purpose. Beds were very comfortable and there was always a supply of hot water. The apartment looked grubby on the outside but was much better inside. Owner was helpful and provided information booklet on arrival.

Location Fantastic

This apartment is very well situated for the tourist in Edinburgh - right in the middle of the Royal Mile, about 5 minutes walk from main train station and airport bus stop. In the old town so able to walk to Castle, Greyfriars, Grassmarket, National Museum, and other tourist spots. Also close to Princes St (shopping) and Princes Gardens (park and Gallery). I know Edinburgh fairly well - I stayed in this apartment as I was over for a family wedding - would definitely stay here again, and have already recommended to family and friends.

Apartment is bright and spacious - nicely furnished and well equipped. I didn't actually meet the owner, no need as everything was so easy to arrange by email /online, and directions and information provided was great.

Great spot, comfy for family of 5, accessible host and amazing experience.

We loved this spot. Very comfortable and roomy for a family of five. Location could not be beat for sights, restaurants, and bars. If you want fancy not for you, but fantastic for all your basic needs 😃򐰊Learned how to jiggle the loo like a scots!

Andrew had apt warmed up and cozy for us, beds comfy, plenty of space.

Thanks for a memorable trip.
