About Ryan Pitts

Being from the coldest part of Canada definitely made me consider spending more time somewhere warmer! I started in Cancun, then went to Playa Del Carmen, now I settled in Tulum: the ambience in Tulum is amazing. I feel so at home when I am here. The magic is in the air in this place!

Ryan Pitts purchased this condo in 2012

Why Ryan Pitts chose Quintana Roo

This property is my choice after 5 years of looking. It is located in the best location in Tulum-in between the beach and the downtown offering affordable meals as well as the option to splurge at the beach clubs on occasion. The area is completely green and you will fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle and wake up refreshed!

What makes this condo unique

Stress will reduce greatly. You can rent a bike to go to both downtown and the beach hotel zone as well as the supermarket which is a few minutes away via bicycle. This place will make you relaxed, focused, and feel like a new person after a few nights here!

Wonderful and Relaxing

  • 4 of 5

We really loved our unit at Aldea Zama Village. It is a bit of a drive from the Cancun airport but well worth it. The pool is steps away from the front door where we found the sun to shine throughout the day. It's small enough to warm up and big enough for several kids to play at one end and adults to relax on another. Aldea Zama Village is a smaller condo facility, which provides a quiet atmosphere. Tulum ruins and the miles of amazing Tulum beaches are just down the road. Rent a bike to get to pretty much anywhere in Tulum or rent a car to get to any place nearby (Coba ruins...totally worth going to!). Ryan and Maisie were very accommodating regarding our damage deposit and provided information regarding the area and how to travel about best. This unit has everything you need. Remember to look in the cabinets on the island for blender and other kitchen needs. I would purchase water bottles or bring your own to take water with you to the beach or elsewhere. We ended up using a full 20L bottle in the unit plus 1 case of water from the Chedarui as a family of 4. Mexico is HOT! Drink a lot of water. The Chedarui market is like a small Walmart in the states. It has everything you need and it's easy to find....on your way to the unit. :) Ziggy beach is just down the road headed to the right at the T. Playa paraiso and the Tulum ruins are to the left at the T. All very accessible. A few recommendations....

Bring water everywhere you go.

Find a beach you want to visit and a restaurant on that beach. Eat lunch on that beach and play for the day otherwise you might be restricted access (all beaches are public but all accesses are restricted).

Rent a car. There's so many amazing cenotes and ruins (Coba, Chichen Itza, Tulum, etc) and beaches to experience.

Thank you Ryan for a great condo and a wonderful Mexican vacation!

Beautiful setting

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful trip to Tulum.

Aldea Zama is a great location because of being close to town and close to the beach.

The grounds around the condo were beautiful and we always felt very safe.

Ryan and Maisie were very accommodating and great to work with.

The apartment and grounds look exactly the same as the pictures posted, no unpleasant surprises.

We had a great vacation and would highly recommend this property to anyone considering it.

A Lovely Time at Aldea Zama Village

  • 4 of 5

My husband, daughter and I spent a lovely week from February 7-14 at Ryan's villa. Everything was just as the pictures depicted on the website. Maisie was there to greet us when we arrived at the villa and she was so friendly and helpful with showing us around the villa and giving us travel tips and places to visit during our stay. The villa itself is very comfortable with everything you need for your stay. Air conditioning and large fans in every room made for pleasant relaxing and sleeping after a busy day on excursions or at the beach. While we didn't spend a lot of time at the villa, we did get to enjoy the pool one afternoon and found it very refreshing. We loved the beauty of that inner court yard and found it a peaceful place to even sit by the pool in the later evening just enjoying our surroundings.

If I may suggest a couple of things to improve upon. Maybe have a an instruction booklet for a couple of things such as how to connect the tv; safe combo number and where to take the garbage out to along with extra garbage bags. Also would be nice if there were some face cloths stocked along with the towels and some cleaning cloths provided. We were told that a cleaning service would be provided once during the week. For some reason, that didn't happen during our stay but truthfully it wasn't really needed for us as there is a washer dryer in the villa and we did our own sheets and towels and some clothes while there.

Maisie was great to come to our rescue to bring some needed items and to help with other info regarding the villa. She was also prompt to meet us back at the villa on our last day to return our damage deposit and see us off before we left for the airport. All in all, it was a really nice place to enjoy our vacation!

Comfortable, convenient, great pool, safe

  • 5 of 5

First of all, Ryan, is such a friendly and pleasant host! Thank you to him for answering all our questions and checking in on us. Comfortable condo with all the necessities. The pool area is very pretty and convenient when it's hot and your don't feel like driving to the beach. Our favorite beach area was Playa Pescadero down the left hand side of the beach road. The fisherman there are really friendly and the beach club there is family friendly. Loved Mateo's grill. Their sunset bar is really fun. Our favorite activities were visiting the ruins at Ek Balam, Coba, and Tulum. All very different and very interesting. Spring for the guides on site. They are full of cool info. Visiting the Grand Cenote is also very recommended. Bring a dive flash light and rent snorkel gear there, if you don't have your own, and do some fun underwater cave exploring. Take a stop by Valladolid after exploring Ek Balam for great food and shopping and a look at a classically colonial style town. Thanks again Ryan!

Great condo, friendly service!

  • 5 of 5

Ryan's condo is well located between the beach and the town of Tulum. The place is clean and well stocked with towels and kitchen supplies. Bernadett, the property manager, is very helpful and made the check in and out process very easy.

My only comment about the condo is that it's located in an area with heavy construction so there's a lot of noise during the day. We spent all our time out at the beach so it wasn't a problem for us, but just something to note. Otherwise, the convenience for us with a baby couldn't be beat.

Tulum is a lovely and relaxing town. The opposite of Cancun or Playa del Carmen. We loved it!
