Centrally located - lakes, hiking, horseback riding, river rafting, atv riding, waterfalls, golfing, or total relaxation. This cabin is just what you and your family needs.
Do not let the cabin exterior fool you, the interior is spacious yet cozy. The kitchen is well appointed and includes all utensils that any chef would ever need. The bedlinens and mattresses provide for that important night's rest to prepare for the next day's road trips.
The location is centered in a way that you are just a few hours away from the Civil War battlefields of Chattanooga, Tn. Fantastic historical museums and sites for the family to relive our nations past! Unbelievable caves to explore that keep the children and adults in awe.[that is to the south of Murphy]. To the east you are a very short distance from the most riveting and moving American Indian presentation at an Americam Indian reservation of the monumental 'Trail of Tears' in the twilight hours in an open air amphitheater..."WOW", your children and all the adults should be aware of this tragic plight. After the show, hit their casino and roll a few dice!
Now, If your taste runs a bit more to the extravagant and you want to experience the way the rich and famous lived during the years after the civil war, then you are ready to experience America's largest home, Ashville, NC's Biltmore Estate and be the personal guest of George Vanderbilt. Plan the whole day around the estate tour because it is a nevering ending indulgence of opulence that few of us have ever experienced.
These are just a few of the things to do in the area..did i mention the picturesque road way to and from the rental cottage winding through the mountains along a mountain river that is perfect for white water rafting and fishing and check out the train ride that skirts the river (be sure to seek out the restaurants that feature river trout!]
What a week we had and must do it again soon because, in my opinion, that is what living is all about! Do not forget to check out the local community theatre productions, we enjoyed watching the Von Trapps out smart the Nazis in a brilliant production of 'The Sound of Music'......this place is in the center of everything yet remote enough to have a cup of coffee on the back deck while listening to the birds singing .......I recommend you book it before this secret becomes exposed because soon enough you'll have to book a year in advance!! I'll be back next July!!!
