Wonderful home away from home
My family enjoyed two weeks at this charming, well-maintained home. It shows like a museum with all of the local and historical details within but feels comfortably like your very own vacation home with the impeccably kept grounds and thoughtful amenities. The first floor has a user-friendly eat-in kitchen/dining room, a laundry room, a half bath, a well-appointed living room with a variety of interesting reads, and a large, classic formal dining room. The second floor has four beautifully decorated and spacious bedrooms with very comfortable beds and fine linens along with a full bathroom which has a stand-up shower stall. My children especially enjoyed shooting pool, playing games, and watching the big screen TV with multiple satellite channels on the third floor. The gorgeous grounds include a large yard and beautiful stream as well as a firepit and grill. The rental is adjoined to another unit, but we rarely heard the neighbors. The property does sit fairly close to the road, so there is some road noise in the front rooms, but it quiets down at night and you wake to the beautiful sounds of nature which will draw you to the rocking chairs on either of the large porches. For hot days, there are window AC units in two bedrooms and on the third floor. Phil and Patty are excellent property owners and managers and respond immediately to any questions and concerns. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Thank you for the great review. We are so glad you enjoyed your time here. You and your family were fabulous guests. It was our pleasure having you as our guests.

Great details and comfortable home!
Upon arriving at the home at night it was very well lit and welcoming with electric candles in each window and a decorated christmas tree. The beds were comfy, loved cooking in the kitchen, and dining together in the nice dining room. We loved the historic details of the home. The grounds were amazing. There is a beautiful river in the back with rock waterfalls, a fire pit area with benches, and the barn was pretty however that was closed for the winter. The third floor of the house had a game room with a pool table, foosball table, movie room, and board games. The pool sticks needed new tips but we still played. Everything was clean and perfect.
Beautiful property. Relaxing setting. Cozy home.
