Great house! Great location!
I stayed here on a recent "guys trip" with 5 people. This house was perfect. Plenty of room. Nice living room area where we could hang out. All the amenities you could want - TVs, internet, laundry, grill, fireplace, coffee maker, etc. Big kitchen table for a meal or poker game. I really like the layout of the house. Two bedrooms rooms downstairs. One with a Queen and one with 2 twin beds. On the main level there's 1 bedroom with 3 bunk beds. And there's an upper level with a large bedroom and a king bed. The Red Pines clubhouse with hot tub (indoor and outdoor), heated pool and sauna is very close to the house.
It's a quick walk to the base of Canyons or the Cabriolet. We usually just walked to the base because it was closer than going down to the Cabriolet. From this house on Navajo Trail, you just walk to Commanche Trail, cross the parking lot, go up the stairs at the Westgate and you are at the base. We rented skis from Aloha and we stored them at the shop so we didn't have to worry about carrying them back to the house.
We didn't have a car but there were 2 parking spots available in front of the house. We just used Uber/Lyft to get around which was very easy.
Susan Shay, the property manager was very responsive to any questions I had. We were able to check-in early and check-out late which was amazing. Having rented several ski houses recently, I'd say that this is one of the better ones I've stayed in. I highly recommend this house.
Well kept and easy access.
Great property, and priced right. Easy walk down to Cabriolet lift (3 min). Only negative is the walk from bottom of slopes to the condo once day is over (5-7min), but this is priced in, so no real complaint. Just something to keep in mind if you have small kids.
New Years week stay 2018
Our family had a great time, this was a return visit.
We had 3 adults and 3 teenagers, it was perfect. Everyone had their own space and we had plenty of room to move around. We stayed in and cooked 3 out of 5 nights. The kitchen was well equipped and we found plenty of gourmet heat and eat meals down the street at Whole Foods. There is also a 7-11 down the street for a quick Milk or Beer run.
We did a lot of drop off/pickup at the Cabriolet for the people who wanted to go up and ski for the day. It's best to buy discount tickets for Park City online the night before at a minimum. I think for an even bigger savings buy the tickets as a bundle earlier in the season when the rates are lower. The tickets are good for the whole season. The night before online rate is only a small discount over the window rate in the morning. To me this plays like how Disney sells a 3-4 day park access passes. This is how the system works: you get a plastic ski pass / card from the ticket window on day 1 and load lift tickets onto it online going forward. Then you just go straight to the lift in the morning bypassing the lift ticket line.
Back to the Townhouse and the neighborhood.... The kids had a great time at the heated pool and we met lots of other families. The adults soaked all of their sore muscles in the hot tub. I saw there was a Sauna too but we didn't try it. The pool area is a great place to meet other travelers and get the snow conditions around Park City and other resorts. These pools are located at the top of the street in the Club House.
The townhouse was clean and well kept. The hosts were available by phone and returned our calls quickly before and during our visit.
We hope to be back soon!
The day we arrived it was 92 and the unit lacked central AC. There were a couple of small, portable cooling units but they didn't put a dent in the heat in this unit which had been sitting with windows closed and no cooling running so it was hot inside, not a good welcome. I wish we had known there was no central AC ahead of time.
One person staying there uses a walker. When entering the front door one must go up or down stairs to reach any room in the unit. Again, it would have been good to know in advance.
In all other respects we were very satisfied. We made great use of the community center swimming pools and volleyball court.
I am very sorry that you were disappointed. None of the RedPine units have central a/c. I have lived in Park City for almost 30 years and have never had a/c. As a courtesy to our guests we provide the 2 portable a/c units. Our policy is to not leave the units running when no one is there due to the amount of electricity they use.
The condo was well appointed, super comfortable and clean. The extra bunk bonus room was a huge plus for our extra teenager who got their own space. The proximity to the pool and hot tub was ideal, as well as the distance to the Cabriolet lift. It was a little far to walk in ski boots, but easy in snowboard boots. Overall an excellent stay!
Comfortable digs, close enough for enjoing the film festival with great amenities, too!
We came for the Slamdance Film Festival and the condo was perfect for our needs. Comfortable beds, a nice open common area, with a fully stocked kitchen. Plus, the Red Pine Clubhouse was close by, with an outdoor heated pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, and a sauna. The free shuttle in to Park City was a bonus, and the shuttle stop was less than a five minute walk from the condo. A great place to stay if you want to be close enough to downtown for the festival without being right in the middle of all the madness.
We are located at the base of the Canyons Ski Area - the largest ski area in Utah and the only one with a heated bubble chair lift!
