About Frank

Hi I am a 45 years old guy from Amsterdam and I work as a human recourses consultant in the logistics industry. My partner and I have been living in the center of Amsterdam for many years, we both love Amsterdam, its compactness, its friendly atmosphere, its noisyness, its tranquility. Originally I am from the eastern part of the Netherlands (If you want to know the difference between Holland and The Netherlands I am happy to tell you when you here) and moved to Amsterdam when I was 21. My first room (student housing) was just around the corner and from that moment on I new I wanted to own an apartment in this part of the city.

Frank purchased this apartment in 2001

Why Frank chose Amsterdam

Although no longer living there we don't want to sell it because its such a nice apartment in such an ideal location.

Whenever we have family or friends over we let them stay there and everyone who has always loves the great location!

What makes this apartment unique

From the south facing balcony at the back side of the apartment you have a nice view of the gardens of the 17th century canal houses on the Prinsengracht. It is amazing how peaceful and tranquil it can be in the middle of a buzzling city like Amsterdam.

Highly recommended. Most enjoyable.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed staying in Frank's apartment. It is in a very convenient location and very comfortable. Very different living from where we live in Australia , which enables you to live like an local in Amsterdam. Many facilities and services like the trams just a 200 metre walk up the street. Lots of shops at your door and the grocery shop just one tram stop away. Great appliances, including washing machine and dryer in the apartment which is great for travelers.

Frank was very helpful in arranging the stay, with plenty of communication prior to arrival, and advice on transferring to the apartment from the airport.

We highly recommend this apartment. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Frank.

fits the bill for being a home away from home.

Fantastic location just off the busy street, still lively during the day with the life of Amsterdam. All creature comforts are available, even including some English channels on the tv. When I return to Amsterdam which I know I will I will gladly stay here if available. Bed is comfortable, kitchen is fine. The little balcony is peaceful. I enjoyed just hanging out the window watching the life on the street. The restaurant across the street is also fantastic.

Perfection!

  • 5 of 5

Frank was wonderful to deal with: quick response, good directions for how to get to the building, met us when we arrived. The apartment is perfect! - comfortable bed, nice linens, clean, modern, good wifi. It was a bit noisy out the back, but quiet enough when it was time to go to bed. The location couldn't be better; a short walk from the tram, which gets you everywhere. It's also easy walking distance to many of the sights. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great place in a good location

  • 5 of 5

If you're one person or a couple - this is a great place. There's a bike rental shop on the street and the tram is nearby. Leidseplein offers a bunch of places to eat and drink and there's even some off the beaten path places hidden near by (like Spuyt - great place for beer drinkers). The owner made the process very simple and there was no problems with payment, reservation, check-in, etc. Would highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. Great location, one can walk everywhere, well decorated, confortable and very light, airy and clean. It had everything we needed for our stay and Frank, the owner, true to his word, had someone waiting for us at the right time, to give us the key and the layout of the apartment, which was very nice after arriving from a long trip. After staying in closet like hotel rooms in Europe, it was refreshing to have enough closet and drawer space to accommodate our stuff. Being coffee drinkers, we enjoyed the Nespresso machine a lot. We also enjoyed the reading material and although didn’t have to time for the film library, thought it was a nice addition. There are many good reviews about this place, and, in our opinion, all true, so, we won’t hesitate to recommend it.
