This light, bright and airy apartment in the 17 century canal area of Amsterdam sleeps 2 (living room, study, bedroom; a western king size double), has an open plan kitchen and is located in the very heart of Amsterdam between the Prinsen and the Keizers gracht.
Most of the important museums like the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum, the Leidseplein, the Vondelpark, the Rembrandtsplein, the shopping streets and the best restaurants are all within walking distance. If you don't want to walk, the nearest streetcar/tram stop is less than a 5 minutes walk.
This 60 square meter (645 square ft.) apartment is the ideal location for your stay in this unique city!
Hi I am a 45 years old guy from Amsterdam and I work as a human recourses consultant in the logistics industry. My partner and I have been living in the center of Amsterdam for many years, we both love Amsterdam, its compactness, its friendly atmosphere, its noisyness, its tranquility. Originally I am from the eastern part of the Netherlands (If you want to know the difference between Holland and The Netherlands I am happy to tell you when you here) and moved to Amsterdam when I was 21. My first room (student housing) was just around the corner and from that moment on I new I wanted to own an apartment in this part of the city.
Frank purchased this apartment in 2001
Although no longer living there we don't want to sell it because its such a nice apartment in such an ideal location.
Whenever we have family or friends over we let them stay there and everyone who has always loves the great location!
From the south facing balcony at the back side of the apartment you have a nice view of the gardens of the 17th century canal houses on the Prinsengracht. It is amazing how peaceful and tranquil it can be in the middle of a buzzling city like Amsterdam.
We stayed in the Kerkstraat apartment for 4 nights and were delighted with it's location and facilities. The booking process and gaining access was helpful and efficient. The apartment itself was lovely and really well equipped.
We have visited Amsterdam many times , staying in other apartments or hotels but found this stay to be the best because of the situation of the apartment and the accommodation.
Frank is a really helpful and organized host and Fatima who met us was lovely .
During our stay we walked to Dam square , went on a boat trip from the American Hotel , toured the Van Loon house .
Would not hesitate to recommend !
We just got back to the states after 2 weeks in Europe. Our last four days we spent in this apartment. It was easy to book, very clean and simple to make arrangements to get in. And the location is perfect. We walked everywhere in the city from this starting point...15 minute walk to Museum District...15 minute walk to Anne Frank house...etc. The place is well furnished, has great wifi, very clean, great bed, lots of room for two and Frank provided us with a nice bottle of wine on arrival. We would recommend this place to everyone.
The apartment is as shown--it is spacious, well equipped and clean. It is centrally located and within easy walking distance of the many sights that Amsterdam offers. While tram passes are available, the only time I used the tram was to get to and from Central Station. The rest of the time I walked everywhere, and as Amsterdam is a city best experienced by foot, it made for a memorable visit.
Friends who have lived in Amsterdam for over 15 years were impressed by the apartment's location, size and set up. You will be too.
My partner and I stayed in Frank's place for 3 nights in early September. It is the perfect spot to explore the city. You can walk to all of the main attractions yet it is quite enough at night to have a peaceful sleep. It is also conveniently located by a tram stop, which takes you directly to the central station.
Frank is extremely easy to connect with, with most emails returned within the hour and is a very gracious host. Unfortunately we weren't able to meet in person however we did get a great run though of the apartment through Fatima.
I would definitely stay in Frank's apartment again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to base themselves in Amsterdam.
The location was perfect for us (couple). Walking distance to the major museums, good restaurants, and easy access to the tram line. Very centrally located on a quiet street. It was larger than I expected. We utilized the small kitchen, clothes washer/dryer, and had plenty of space to unwind. We got our deposit back quickly. While we left the place clean, we appreciated not having a long list of checkout steps that other rentals have left. We would stay there again.
The apartment is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The pictures are accurate--it is bright with windows at either end of the apartment which was invaluable during the recent heat wave (my arrival in Amsterdam coincided with the hottest day in years). A lovely cross breeze along with a large fan in the bedroom made sleeping easy.
The best single feature of the apartment is its location. You can walk everywhere and anywhere. Getting to the apartment from the Central (train) Station is about 10-12 minutes by tram (2.9 Euros for one adult) and the Central Station is a 20 minute ride to Schiphol Airport, which makes leaving Amsterdam efficient and easy.
Friends living in Amsterdam were impressed by the size, the price and the location. You will be too.
