About Frank

Hi I am a 45 years old guy from Amsterdam and I work as a human recourses consultant in the logistics industry. My partner and I have been living in the center of Amsterdam for many years, we both love Amsterdam, its compactness, its friendly atmosphere, its noisyness, its tranquility. Originally I am from the eastern part of the Netherlands (If you want to know the difference between Holland and The Netherlands I am happy to tell you when you here) and moved to Amsterdam when I was 21. My first room (student housing) was just around the corner and from that moment on I new I wanted to own an apartment in this part of the city.

Frank purchased this apartment in 2001

Why Frank chose Amsterdam

Although no longer living there we don't want to sell it because its such a nice apartment in such an ideal location.

Whenever we have family or friends over we let them stay there and everyone who has always loves the great location!

What makes this apartment unique

From the south facing balcony at the back side of the apartment you have a nice view of the gardens of the 17th century canal houses on the Prinsengracht. It is amazing how peaceful and tranquil it can be in the middle of a buzzling city like Amsterdam.

Excellent base to explore Amsterdam

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I stayed in Frank's place for 3 nights in early September. It is the perfect spot to explore the city. You can walk to all of the main attractions yet it is quite enough at night to have a peaceful sleep. It is also conveniently located by a tram stop, which takes you directly to the central station.

Frank is extremely easy to connect with, with most emails returned within the hour and is a very gracious host. Unfortunately we weren't able to meet in person however we did get a great run though of the apartment through Fatima.

I would definitely stay in Frank's apartment again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to base themselves in Amsterdam.

Recommended Amterdam Apartment

  • 5 of 5

The location was perfect for us (couple). Walking distance to the major museums, good restaurants, and easy access to the tram line. Very centrally located on a quiet street. It was larger than I expected. We utilized the small kitchen, clothes washer/dryer, and had plenty of space to unwind. We got our deposit back quickly. While we left the place clean, we appreciated not having a long list of checkout steps that other rentals have left. We would stay there again.

Wonderful apartment in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

Don't hesitate to book. You won't be disappointed. Location, location, location. We were steps away from the canal, trams and a shopping area. The apartment is very tastefully decorated, clean, with all that you need for your stay. Frank was very accommodating and provided us with clear information about the apartment and surrounding area. Even though we were close to a very busy area, the apartment is very quiet. Even has a small balcony in the back to enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. Restaurants were also close, but if you wish to eat in, supermarkets were all within walking distance. We had a wonderful stay in Amsterdam!

Fantastic apartment in great location - just what we were looking for.

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is as good as all the other reviews will tell you! Host was very helpful, and was waiting in the apartment for us when we arrived late at night. Location is perfect for exploring Amsterdam. Apartment is clean, spacious, light, with the additional bonus of a small balcony outside. Even thought it is central, it is very quiet. Cant praise this apartment enough - would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Amazing apartment! Great location, friendly owner!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was fantastic! Frank offered us explicit directions on how to get to the apartment and met us outside to carry our luggage in and give us a tour. The apartment was perfectly furnished and had everything we could have possibly needed in full stock. The pictures do not do it justice! The location is perfect, close to transportation, shops, and restaurants. Frank also provided several tour books and info guides with the apartment regarding the surrounding area. There was also a binder with the guide to the apartment in terms of working the apartment appliances. Though we visited during a heat wave, Frank accommodated with a bedroom fan. We would definitely recommend this to any family/friends visiting Amsterdam and hope to return one day ourselves! We struck gold with choosing to stay at this apartment!

Great 5 nights in Amsterdam

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment. Everything went smoothly, from our check-in to our check-out. The location can not be beat; everything was nearby, yet the street itself was fairly quiet. We walked to the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum, to the Anne Frank House, the Hermitage, and the train station for a day trip to Delft. The apartment was well equipped and very clean, the furniture and bed were comfortable, and having a washer and dryer there after traveling was very helpful. Frank made the whole process easy. We would definitely return again and would recommend it to out friends!
