About Frank

Hi I am a 45 years old guy from Amsterdam and I work as a human recourses consultant in the logistics industry. My partner and I have been living in the center of Amsterdam for many years, we both love Amsterdam, its compactness, its friendly atmosphere, its noisyness, its tranquility. Originally I am from the eastern part of the Netherlands (If you want to know the difference between Holland and The Netherlands I am happy to tell you when you here) and moved to Amsterdam when I was 21. My first room (student housing) was just around the corner and from that moment on I new I wanted to own an apartment in this part of the city.

Frank purchased this apartment in 2001

Why Frank chose Amsterdam

Although no longer living there we don't want to sell it because its such a nice apartment in such an ideal location.

Whenever we have family or friends over we let them stay there and everyone who has always loves the great location!

What makes this apartment unique

From the south facing balcony at the back side of the apartment you have a nice view of the gardens of the 17th century canal houses on the Prinsengracht. It is amazing how peaceful and tranquil it can be in the middle of a buzzling city like Amsterdam.

This is a perfect place to set up house for a few days. It's around the corner from just about anything you might need, but also quiet.

Great apartment experience

  • 4 of 5

This apartment is located in a terrific neighbourhood - close to public transportation, the Central Train station, shopping, and lots of activities. It is on a side street so it is very quiet at night and a great place for a good sleep. Other neighbours in the building were very friendly.

It is very spacious, bright and has been renovated with quality finishes.

The bedroom and a smaller den are located at the back of the apartment. There is a small deck with chairs and a table which looks out over trees and other backyards - a great spot to read, have a drink or just breathe in the fresh air.

The bed was large and very comfortable.

Frank, the owner, was most helpful- with the booking, with providing directions and tips for travellers, for responding quickly with answers to any questions and for arranging for someone to meet us on arrival.

A lovely, spacious, meticulously clean apartment in a great location!

Perfect home base in Amsterdam!

  • 5 of 5

Could not have asked for a more centrally-located apartment. We walked to everything! The Rijk and Van Gogh museums were about a 9 minute walk±. Many good restaurants within easy walking distance as well as a handful of grocery markets from which to purchase provisions for your stay. The apartment itself was bright, spacious, immaculate, quiet (bedroom on back-side; not street side) and had everything one could need for a pleasant, comfortable stay. Plenty of towels, drawers and closet space, reliable wifi, as well as a well-equipped kitchen, including a Nespresso machine (and Nespresso capsules) and a variety of teas and sugars. Fatima, who met us at the apartment, was efficient and thorough in showing us how everything worked. My husband even successfully used the washer/dryer :-). Frank was more than marvelous to communicate with and our deposit was refunded immediately. I would not hesitate to book this apartment if I return to Amsterdam.

Perfect Stay

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is in a central location but also quiet, we walked everywhere. It is very comfortable, with a great bed, nice linen, good shower, very functional kitchen and excellent wifi. Being December the heating made us very cosy. The host was easy to communicate with and understanding to fit in with our arrival and departure times. We were welcomed by Fatima who explained everything about the apartment. I would highly recommend and we will stay here again on our next visit to Amsterdam. Thank you Frank for a perfect stay!
