'4 bedroom 2 bath cabin in a private valley beside a fast flowing creek'
About Brian Hancock
We are Gina and Brian and our regular home(when we are not at home at the cabin) is in Fayetteville, Ga. We have a daughter and son in their 20's.
Brian Hancock purchased this Cabin in 2011
Why Brian Hancock chose Ellijay
We bought this cabin in October of 2011. We love the North Georgia area and particularly the Ellijay area due to the beauty and convenience. It is the closest to metro Atlanta as you can get and still be in the mountains, and in a different world.
What makes this Cabin unique
We fell in love with our cabin when we first saw it. It is in a private valley with a fast flowing creek directly behind the house. It is in Coosawattee River resort with all the amenities you could ask for.

Family had a great stay!
We had a great time. Lots of things to do inside the community we stayed and also lots of things to do outside of it. A great state park nearby with zip lining and lots of hiking and lots of river activities available in the area. The local town was nice and had a great place to have ice cream with the family. Had everything we needed at the house. we brought camping chairs because we weren't sure if there would be enough but there was plenty of seating outdoors and never use them. Great communication from the host with the list of things to do in the area. We are already considering coming back.
Excellent Quick Getaway!
We really enjoyed our spur of the moment getaway. Brian quickly responded to our request for same day booking.
The cabin and property were perfect for enjoying our final days of summer. Everything was clean and comfortable. We could not have asked for a better location. The stream was ideal to cool down, the kitchen was great for cooking, the fire pit satisfied everyone's s'mores craving and the strong WIFI made everyone happy.
We would love to return for another spur of the moment getaway! Thank you Brian and Family!
We had a wonderful time at The Perfect Hideaway. The cabin was very clean, comfy, and fully loaded with everything we needed need to make our stay perfect. Sitting on the porch in the morning on the patio watching and hearing the rushing water of the creek with a cup of coffee was a great way to start the day. The firepit was great for cooking up hot dogs and smores by the water and the pictures just didn't do the stunning creek justice. It was very peaceful and a lot of fun to play in with the kids. Wish our stay was longer but would love to return again in the future.
What a wonderful, fun, and relaxing trip!
We truly enjoyed our stay at The Perfect Hideaway. The location was perfect with everything we needed in just a short driving distance. Pools, river, grocery store, you name it! The house was clean and very comfortable with lots of room for our family. We didn't see any deer on the property itself but we saw plenty in the resort community. Love this house and will definitely be back!
Beautiful house, beautiful location!
Our little grandsons loved swimming in the creek! What a fabulous stay we had visiting on the great screened in porch, too! Thank you for sharing your home!
Secluded and serene
We enjoyed this property. It was private and relaxing. The fast moving creek was awesome!!
Ellijay is the historic county seat of Gilmer County, and the Apple Capital of Georgia. Mountain vistas, cold clear rivers, antique shops, and biking. It is the host of the Apple festival each October. Ellijay has the convenience of a super Walmart, Ingles, Food Lion, etc. Dining is also good with Longhorns, Ruby Tuesdays, Shanes Rib Shack, to name a few. There is also almost any fast food restaurant you could ask for such as McDonalds, Wendy's, Sonic, Subway, Hardees, Taco Bell, etc. There are also many local restaurants which are favorites to locals and visitors alike. Ellijay is a good central location for all the activities you look for in a mountain vacation. Carters Lakes is only a few miles down the road with recreation areas for fishing boating, picnicking, playgrounds and swimming. Blue Ridge, Dahlonega, and Amicalola Falls State park are a short distance away. Come and get lost in paradise!
