Hi, I am Ivan, born Belgradian, living in the city centre all my life. My apartment is central, located in my favourite district in the city, also known to many lovely cafes, bars, shops and restaurants. I have befriended many people running local stores and cafes and enjoy dropping in for coffee and a chat. It really is lovely here - come and discover it! My aim is to make your stay a memorable one. If you would like, I’m happy to share my ideas with you about what sites are worth visiting, which restaurants are worth checking out, where you can buy good Serbian wines and rakias, and where the locals are hanging out. I believe that you can feel my apartment as cosy and friendly as yours and next time you return to Belgrade, you will feel as if you have returned home. Also, I can organise tours to other cities such as Novi Sad (80 km from Belgrade) and other places of historical significance.
Why Ivan chose Stari Grad
Apartment is located in center of Belgrade, a 5 -minute walk away from the main square, Knez Mihailova pedestrian zone, and Bohemian Skadarlija Street. All main attractions are at walking distance. The neighborhood itself is very interesting, either if you are keen on sightseeing and history or on partying and nightlife. First, things for the basic survival kit: there is a grocery store just outside the building and works from 8am to 11pm. However, if you need something during the night, just across the street there is a corner shop called Felix where you can buy drinks, cigars, cigarettes and snacks . Just across the building is one of the most well-known and respected Serbian theatres Atelje 212 which has plays regularly staring top actors and performers from Serbia and the region. Upon exiting the building if you head left, towards the tall Politika building, you will pass by the Shecher club (Club Secer in Serbian) which was one of the first underground rock places in Belgrade in the late 60s. Just at the square of the building of Radio Belgrade (Makedonska street) you may find several restaurants offering good food and atmosphere. However, if you are interested in the real bohemian life, go to Skadarlija (10 minute walk from the apartment) where there are lot of taverns with good national and international cuisine and bands playing classical local tunes. In less than 10-minute walking distance lies Trg Republike (Sqare of the Republic), the very centre of the city and the most common and beloved place for meeting for people from Belgrade. From there you are less than a minute away from Knez Mihailova street (central pedestrian street) which leads to Kalemegdan fortress which offers spectacular views of the Sava and Danube rivers, and a nice overlook of the city, especially parts like Novi Beograd and Zemun.
What makes this Apartment unique
Parking in Belgrade is complicated and hard to find, and my apartment has private parking place, also apartment has 2 separated bedrooms and with the most apartment in the city centre that is not the case. Even that apartment is in the core of the city it is quiet and perfect for relaxation after exhausting day.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Great City, Great Location
We had a short layover and chose this rental as we wanted to be in the old town and walking distance to the sites. It was perfect and our host, Ivan, was super attentive and worked to make our time in Belgrade memorable. Two thumbs up!
Clean, comfortable, convenient, great communication and assistance
The rental apartment is located in a convenient , clean, building, 6th(top) floor, with an elevator which goes to the 5th floor, and a short flight of stairs to the 6th floor. Ivan helped with our luggage, etc.
The apartment is precisely as shown on the website, a few minutes walk to all the important sites in Belgrade. Good, local restaurants, grocery store, money exchange counter very near by.
Ivan is a terrific host, helpful, informative, communicates well. A fruit basket was a nice touch upon arrival.
Also, Ivan arranged to pick us up from the airport , help us obtain train tickets to Montenegro, and arranged transportation to the appropriate train station, located somewhat out of town, all for a fair and reasonable price. Overall, a positive experience, and highly recommended.
