|Minimum Stay||2 - 3 nights|
Drive down a magical driveway through 100-foot Cedars to this serene cottage overlooking Sequim Bay. Spend quiet mornings and peaceful afternoons watching boats on the bay and taking in the ocean air. Open and spacious living areas make this a great location for either large gatherings or a quiet getaway for two. Enjoy all the activities on the Olympic Peninsula from this fun and sunny location year-round.
The house sleeps 8 comfortably, with 1 King bed, 1 queen, 1 double, and 2 twins. The french country kitchen is large and open for family cooking. The living room has a TV with Roku and a DVD player and wireless internet. Outside there's a private deck for picnics and a BBQ. Keep a look out for deer and raccoons that might meander into the yard, herons and eagles over the water, and seals in the bay.
Our favorite activity is heading down the stairs to the waterfront boat deck for a glass of wine at sunset. The serenity of the calm bay and the quiet beauty on the water is breathtaking.
The living room features comfortable seating, TV, fireplace, and bay-view windows. The open kitchen has all the amenities you'll need to make prep work a joy and, with a 6-person dining table plus six seats at the counter, you can entertain and feed a crowd.
The upper level master bedroom features a wonderful king bed, a walk-in closet, and a quiet sitting area. The other upstairs bedroom has wood floors, 1 double futon and 2 twin beds, and feels like the best summer camp room ever. The easy-access main floor bedroom just off the main living area sleeps two in a queen bed.
And don't forget to go down the outside stairs to the little dock on the bay that leads to the beach. There is something absolutely amazing about being down there before sunset.
We are Alaskans who enjoy the beauty and active lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest. When we discovered Sequim's uniquely dry climate hidden on the lush Olympic Peninsula, it was a perfect match.
Brigadoon Vacation Rentals purchased this house in 2002
Just one look at the bay view sold us. And then we walked in the house - beautiful. Also the little town of Sequim surprised us with quaint shops (check out the two blocks around Washington and Sequim Avenues), lots of fine restaurants and anything else you need.
There is something amazingly restorative about this property - the absolute quiet, the birds, the boats, the ocean air. You literally leave your worries at the doorstep.
Two families enjoyed a weekend of fun at your lovely waterside house. Thank you for sharing it. The yard is beautiful and we enjoyed walking around it, taking photos and playing hide and seek. Our kids loved the soft grass! We launched our kayak from the dock. Very peaceful location.
Our family's 3rd Labor Day weekend at The Cedars was another delightful experience. We're all good cooks with serious kitchen envy: appliances are older but high quality, plenty of counters and cupboards full of good pots, pans, and utensils, with big windows with views of the bay or trees. Plus a good gas grill outside. When it's not sunny enough to sit on one of the decks or hang out on the big lawn, there are multiple window seats perfect for day dreaming while watching birds, boats, and chipminks, or reading. The guys love golf at 7 Cedars, the shoppers love Sequim, the plant nerds love Far Reaches Farm in nearby Port Townsend, and we all love dinner at the Dockside Grill at the marina. May not be the ultra modern luxury some people want but we've always enjoyed the peace and quiet of The Cedars.
Unfortunately, we're only here three nights. it would be so nice for a vacation lasting a week or more. The location is so calm and relaxing, and the view!!! I could stay here and only leave for a few meals out. That being said, the house is so sweet, completely furnished with everything one could need; plenty of room for four women celebrating their 60th b'day and within range to so many of the hot spots of this area. Although two bedrooms are on the second floor, there is a bedroom and bathroom on the first floor (same level as the living room). Kitchen/dining room has a two or three step up from but open to the living room. The outdoors is the best and very accommodating to everyone with the time to enjoy it.
This is the third time we have stayed at the Cedars, my family loves this property. The view is beautiful. Eagles fly by everyday and that is exciting. Watching the sailboats and the crabbers is relaxing. There is so much to do . I will be back.
Great house for a get together with two families -- each couple got their own room, and the kids shared the 3rd bedroom.
Pleasant dock, cobblestone beach at low tide. The kitchen was very well appointed with nice dishes and utensils.
Would definitely stay there again.
Perfect escape from the city. Great location if planning a day trip to Victoria, B.C. or Seattle, WA
