About Kijana Wiseman-Fusilier, M.Ed.

My name is Kijana, I have lived and worked in 21 countries. I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Liberia West Africa where I decided to stay, perform, and host a television talk show. I returned it to the United States in 1979 and open my business: The Wiseman Company. I also own an event planning and educational entertainment company.

This property was purchased by my grand aunt Vergie and her husband Ernest Bolden in 1950 ... 10 years after it was built. They also owned the 2 houses just east of this one. I purchased it from my aunt's estate in 1988.

For 30 years I had my creative production firm's office downstairs while I lived upstairs. It was a sweet arrangement until I got married and my husband and I bought another home in the suburbs. This house has been rented out for approximately six years. But this is the first time that I am offering The upstairs deluxe apartment as a furnished unit.

The office bedroom has a full-size futon sofa that pulls out into a standard bed that sleeps 2. There is a spacious work desk in the corner with supplies and a Wi-Fi printer for your IOS devices. It also has a USB cord connected for use with your laptop or travel computer. The living room offers sleeping arrangements for up to 3 more persons. The comfy couch is a favorite of ours, but there is a loveseat near the fireplace that opens into gel-mattressed twin-size bed. The large leather luxury oversize chair in the living room also reclines nearly flat to makes a comfy sleep station for a 7th person if needed.

This is a duplex home with two apartments. This unit is on the top floor and there are permanent tenants living below it. That being said, we ask that you keep the volume on your television, entertainment and music at a reasonable level-- especially after 10 PM. There is no smoking in the apartment rooms, but smoking is allowed on the fenced in balcony or on the patio.

Manager's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
