This wine country cottage sits in a sunny spot on a private lane just off Warm Springs Road. Your experience here will be peaceful and private, with only a few deer crossing the property occasionally. The two bedroom home provides you with a cozy atmosphere, closeness to Glen Ellen with a large, beautiful patio space to use for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is also outdoor space for casual get togethers and another area for those who like to while away their time on comfortable lounge chairs. Inside you will find 2 queen bedrooms, a full-size kitchen, cozy dining area, attractive living room and an additional media room for watching TV or movies on the flat screen. The cottage was renovated this year.
All of this is surrounded by the great Sonoma Wine Country. Glen Ellen itself has several award winning wineries, sophisticated restaurants, or you can just enjoy bliss of relaxing with a glass of local wine, get the grill going, and prepare something from the incredible selection at the Glen Ellen Village Market.
Close by you will find the Sonoma Valley Regional Park (great for running and hiking!), or the famous Jack London State Historic Park with its Jack London Museum and peaceful gardens. The cottage is also only a three minute walk to Morton's Warm Springs where you can dip into their pools on a hot day. Or take scenic Warm Springs Road to the Kenwood area for more wine tasting at Chateau St. Jean or several other notable wineries.
We have traveled extensively in the past and have owned second homes in two other countries but have always hoped that someday we would find just the right place in the Sonoma wine country.
Ron Baker purchased this cottage in 2012
We selected this particular property because of its premium location, the serenity of the surrounding area and the beauty of the immediate area. Since purchasing the property in June of 2013 we have totally renovated it both inside and out with the finest materials.
Where else can you stay in such luxury, beauty and serenity and still be within minutes of some of the finest restaurants, wineries, and parks in California.
Stayed here for the weekend with girlfriends. This is a darling cottage that is very clean and well-decorated and appointed. Very picturesque setting. Would definitely recommend.
House was clean and well appointed. Would definitely rent again. Perfect retreat for 2 couples after a day of wine tasting and exploring.
We were two couples staying for four nights and it was ideal. Great walking from the house, nearby Glen Ellen is the perfect Sonoma village, and the nearby wineries a great experience. The house has a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, lots of space indoors, and a patio with comfortable seating. Good WiFi for streaming entertainment, but you need to get outdoors (which is why you came - right?). Don't miss Benziger Vineyards and Winery farm tour, Jack London State Historic Park for great walks, and a trip to the coast.
Great location. Very comfortable and we'll stocked.
Pictures didn't lie😁
My husband, mom and I just spent a relaxing long weekend at this adorable cottage. It's even bigger than it appears in the pictures, and was very comfortable for the 3 of us. Nicely decorated, clean and well-maintained. And, a plus for me, a very hot shower! We loved waking up, opening the curtains and seeing the same family of deer walking by the house each morning. For the price, I can't imagine a better deal or experience in Sonoma wine country. The owner was quick to respond to my request to book, and sent rental instructions within 24 hours. Note: The cottage is located among a cluster of houses and the patio faces a neighbor's house, so it's not completely private. However, we rarely saw anyone else and still felt like we were tucked away in the countryside. The location is an easy drive to the little towns of Kenwood and Glen Ellen, and to many of the area's wineries. We highly recommend signing up for wine tours at nearby MacLeod Family Vineyard and Benzinger Family Winery (the first is a small, family-run operation and the second has an interesting trolley tour of their biodynamic farm), shopping at Glen Ellen Market for locally focused groceries, and eating lunch or dinner at The Fig Cafe. Jack London Historic State Park also has some nice hiking trails and an interesting museum right next to Benzinger.
This is a lovely cabin that is just far enough out of town to be quiet, yet still accessible to everything that the area has to offer such as wineries and hiking trails. The place is very nicely appointed and comfortable. We would certainly come back again. Love that there are two bedrooms so there is plenty of space and the beds are very comfortable. Kitchen is complete with very nice appliances. The place is very clean and bright.
In the morning we were greeted by 25 wild turkeys strutting around the back yard and a fawn and her baby there later on as well.
