Our apartments are situated in a historic wharfside building on the Penzance harbour seafront. The oldest part of the building dates back as early as the 16th century, and has been sympathetically updated to keep many key original features while including all the necessities to fully equip you and your family while staying with us.

- Sail Loft Lookout apartment overlooks the harbour with far reaching sea views to the whole of Mounts Bay, St Michaels Mount and beyond to The Lizard.

This is a modern apartment within a ancient Character building and has original open beamed ceilings . In Sail Loft the original lifting gantry for off loading cargoes from ancient Sailing vessels ,through what is now a large Juliet balcony window, is a main feature within the beams and rafters of the apartment. tell : 07702125766

- Sunny Corner #2 apartment is situated to the side of the building, with your own private seating area outside, soak up the summer sun atmosphere and the hustle and bustle of the harbour.

Penthouse 3 Is Luxury two double bedroomed apartment on two levels - the big open plan lounge /kitchen diner and large outside balcony on the upper level give expansive stunning views over Mounts Bay to St Michaels Mount and over Penzance harbour. Inside Sunny Corner #2 you'll enjoy a spacious open plan living and dining area, while the vaulted ceilings exposing original beams gives the home a luxury feel. The large wood dining table and chairs fits 6 guests comfortably for dining and celebrations, and a fitted dishwasher makes for an easy clean-up after.

About Nigel Waller

Originally abandoned the world of banking to go fishing on a boat out of Newlyn in West Cornwall. Went diving for Cray Fish and Sea Urchins and then qualified as a professional deep sea diver working off oil rigs etc. Became a property developer - purchased this huge wharfside building in a state of dereliction and initially converted it into a big restaurant , entertainment venue and gift shop by the harbour front. In recent years I converted the entertainment venue into holiday apartments as we have today. I still retain a Seafood and Steak Bistro called the Boatshed. All my guests in my apartments and other properties benefit from a 10% discount when they dine in my restaurant.

One of the oldest Character buildings on the harbour in Penzance. It formed part of the original quay side for old Sailing Ships to unload their cargoes. Beneath the ancient timbers of the old this old Wharf-side store masters out of Rio or homeward bound East Indiamen transacted a bargain or two amongst the rich aromas of 'Geneva Gin' @ Schnapps ' and 'Turkey Twist '.

What makes this apartment unique

We meet and greet all guests and help to advise on all the best places to see and visit during your time here. We are also always on hand should you need any assistance or further advise. Our head house keeper is also always on hand should you need any extra laundry or laundry change.

All Guest who stay in any of our apartments or other properties benefit from a 10% in the owners harbour side Seafood and Steak Bistro.

Great property, would go again.

This property was ideal for a short break in Cornwall. The apartment was well furnished and equipped. Centrally located, it was good for town centre and seafront, and remarkably quiet all things considered. Parking was immediately adjacent to the property, which was good as local street parking would have been a bit manic. Short and easy drive to amazing coasts and countryside. The owner, who lives nearby, was very welcoming and helpful. Would happily stay again.

Perfectly Located Apartment with the 'Wow' Factor

We have just arrived home from a week in Penzance, staying at Sunny Corner. We were thrilled with the apartment - the high beamed ceilings and clever mood lighting give it a real wow factor and the flat was warm, spacious and comfortable. The owner, Nigel and his housekeeper Suzi went out of there way to ensure we had everything we needed and were close by in case we had any problems. We don't have a car, so the location of the flat was perfect as it's a short walk to both the train and bus stations as well as being very convenient for food shopping as there are plenty of small supermarkets nearby. Historic Chapel Street is moments away and there are plenty of shops, restaurants and cozy pubs to choose from. We walked to Mousehole and also to Marazion both of which are well worth a visit - we highly recommend a tour of the castle on St Michael's Mount in Marazion which was fantastic. We also did day trips by bus to St Ives (stunning beaches and definitely a 'must see') and to Lands End, Sennen Cove and the fabulous Minack Theatre, all well worth visiting. All in all we were delighted with the apartment and would highly recommend it - and we would definitely stay there again ourselves. Thank you Nigel and Suzi - we hope to see you again.

Stunning appartments and excellent value

Beautiful appartments which cater for your every need. Everything provided for a wonderful holiday, down to fresh flowers and Milk in the fridge on arrival. Decorated to a high standard with nice furniture, fixtures and fittings. I stayed in appartment 4 and my parents in Sunny Corner 2. The Boatshed restaurant also great with quality food and a 10% discount for people staying in the appartments.

Penzance is situated on the coastline of Mounts Bay, overlooked by the beautiful St Michael's Mount. Penzance enjoys the most temperate climate of the British Isles while early spring flowers, vegetables and other produce demonstrate the mild weather conditions experienced here. The town retains much of its original character which developed from a small fishing village, and it's close proximity to a multitude of attractions and holiday beaches, makes it an exciting holiday base.

Take a stroll along the magnificent promenade and enjoy the lively mix of galleries, stylish restaurants, shops, cafés and pubs. Penzance is home to three world class galleries, The Exchange, nestled just off of Chapel Street; one of the oldest street's in the town. Penlee House Gallery and Museum and nearby Newlyn Art Gallery. A short walk along the coastal path to Newlyn, you will be greeted by the hustle and bustle of a working fishing town; the heart of the Cornish fishing industry that is still one of the most successful in England. Two miles south of Newlyn lies Mousehole, a tiny fishing village full of character and charm. Famous for its narrow streets and and quaint granite cottages.

The road and rail links surrounding Penzance make it the ideal base to explore the beautiful area of West Cornwall. Getting to and from Penzance and the neighbouring villages is easily done via the A30 and A38. The railway, which reaches London, North Scotland and West Wales, makes it's final stop at Penzance. Just across the road from our historic apartment building is the gateway to the Isles of Scilly. Tucked away, some twenty-eight miles from the coast, the breathtakingly beautiful Isles of Scilly are waiting to be discovered. With long white sandy beaches, crystal clear turquoise water, picturesque little harbours and gorgeous stone-built houses, they are one of the UK’s best kept secrets.

West Cornwall has exhilarating walking and cycling routes along moorland trails and coastal footpaths around the Lands-End peninsula and it is a paradise for bird watchers and plant lovers alike. Gardens, both formal and informal, provide a blaze of colour from early Spring through to late Autumn with numerous sub-tropical flowers and palm trees adding to the unique nature of the local environment. The local surfing venues in Sennen Cove and Gwenver are some of the best in Europe, or for those who prefer a leisurely swim make sure you take a visit to Penzance's magical art-deco Jubilee swimming pool, one of the few remaining 1930's lido's located just a stone's throw from the apartments.
