This 2 bedroom condominium is very close to the beach and is located in the heart of Tamarindo beach. Walk everywhere. 500 Meters from beach and all amenities and services. It is a two story 2 bed/1.5 bath condo. Both bedrooms and bathrooms are located upstairs. The condo is surrounded by a tropical garden with a pool.

This unit offers amenities such as security guard, parking, hot water, AC, ceiling fans in all rooms, safety box, high-speed internet, cable TV, and a fully equipped stainless steel kitchen. Sleeps up to 6 people with 2 queen beds and one sofa bed for extra guests. Price is based on 4 people; sleeps 6 add $100 per person. This unit is kids friendly and is very nicely furnished. All kitchen appliances are stainless steel and the kitchen itself is made from massive Costa Rican wood. The kitchen is very convenient and allows several people to cook at the same time. The couch in the living room is very large and comfortable and turns into a sofa bed. Laundry violable on site (extra fee). The only tenants not paying rent are the howler monkeys!!!

Tropical Oasis

This condo is a tropical oasis in the middle of a busy tourist beach town. The grounds are plush with beautiful trees and flowers that attract many birds and of course a daily visit by the monkeys. The pool is quite small though, and the surrounding area has little room for seating with maybe 10 chairs that fill up quickly. The condo was large, spotless and fully stocked with all the basics which was great! When we had questions or concerns Gaby was always pleasent, very helpful, a great girl full of information! Our main complaint goes back to an initial conversation upon booking the condo. Before making payment I asked if the condo was situated on a hill and the property manager assured me with this comment "No hills I promise. It's perfectly flat and close to town but also quiet and a way from nightlife" We took Claudia at her word so were very surprised that upon arrival that the condo was situated near the top of a steep hill!

For anyone who has physical limitations and no transportation a daily walk to the the beach would be a considerable challenge. My rating for the condo 3 property manager 2.

Would've been awesome

Previous to our arrival we spoke to the property manager over the phone, and let her know we were going to arrive right around 3pm (check in time) which we did… when we arrived at the office we felt a little frustration from her because we didn’t call her right before we got there even though we spoke the day before.

We did not like at all the vibe we got from her, it almost felt like she was doing us a favor, and we got all kinds of rules and restrictions like we were supposed to have the a/c at 78 degrees, and not keep it running while we were gone (which we didn’t becuse we think green), $200 if you lose the key, etc. We have been to many hotels, and rentals and never felt this worried about something happening.

There was no room in the car for her assistant to take us there, so she got even more frustrated as if it was our fault… sorry Mrs Claudia, we are very easy going people and felt awful.

Aside from the “great welcoming” the house is great, great appliances and the kitchen is well stocked like Mrs Deborah from the previews review said…

I don’t recommend this listing if you are traveling with elderly people because the stairs are a little bit dangerous and the 2 bathrooms available are upstairs.

I loved the big sofa, turns into a very comfortable bed, the rooms are very nice, plenty of towels, hangers, sheets, covers.

The pool is small and not much room around it, if you like to lay in the shade it is perfect, you will love to be there in the company of your peeps, a good book, or the howler monkey that came in the afternoon to eat leaves from one of the pool trees.

It is close enough from town, but also away so you feel quiet and peaceful.

You have to leave your car outside of the property and walk all your belongings a little distance, if you are an active person you will have no problem with this.

Wi fi worked perfect.

We didn’t have any plumbing problems at all.

We would return if management changes.

Owner's Response: What a surprising review we got from Jessica’s 3 night stay! This is really a free comment she made about me since I am always smiling and welcoming of guests. And she is mistaken me and asssitant about her comments also...I saw Jessica from my desk maybe 1 minute before we effectively got ready to bring her to the condo with our own transportation as always , always offering personnal checkin and walkthrough to all our guests instead of leaving for them a key and map in a safety box at their arrival. Also Jessica is confusing me and my asssitant... my asssitant simply asked Jessica if she had her car in front not if she had space for her! That’s where we got that Jessica didn’t speak English. My asssitant has her own car! Jessica received a welcome note and we never talked before she arrived. The reason why we asked guests in our welcoming letter to call close to arrival is so we are always ready to meet and greet everyone one at a time and even if checkin starts at 3pm we like to know that our guests are well arrived in the country so we know when to expect them. Jessica and all guests have to sign a short simple lease to sign and she did at reservation so she did sign it one month prior her arrival. My assistant explain the cost of $200 wich is not for lost keys but the lost key of the safe and simply suggested to leave it somewhere and not bring it outside the property like at the beach,so I don’t know why she is surprised about notes simple rules and suggestions ... I guess she didn’t like that ....we offer a walkthrough in general but also on how to work with ac control, how a/c work best etc. Maybe we should not help guests or anyone with those things and offering personal services ???Elderly guests have a rail to assure safety of the stairs. Pool is big enough and enjoyed by everyone now that it’s chlorine free. The place was left fifty with ac blasting in all bedrooms. Jessica also called us 3 times Sunday to demand her security deposit back when she was informed that home away does refund it one week after checkout. She was very rude.

Si vous cherchez un endroit ( pour dormir) bien situé pour toutes sortes d'activités alors c'est parfait.

Les jardins fleuris, la belle piscine centrale, la tranquillité.

Owner's Response: Tres chere Genevieve, lors de votre sejour vous m'avez semblez tres satisfaite de votre condo en general... depuis sachez que nous avons remplacer les matelas. le condo est toujours un peu sombre ce qui le garde tres frais, les arbres matures et le jardin tropial en sont la raison, donc je ne comprend pas la note medicore de 2 sur 5... le condo est gardé propre , nouvellement décoré, on ne peu demander mieux, cest un des pueblo les plus beaux de la communaute. Nouveau frigo et cuisiniere en acier inoxidable, le condo est bien équipé et tres bien meublé avec ses bois en Guanacaste partout.

Lovely Condo, But with Plumbing Problems

The condo was lovely and very comfortable. It is nicely furnished and decorated (much more so than other places we have stayed in Tamarindo). The kitchen appliances are great and the kitchen is well-stocked with dishes and pots and pans. The fans and AC work well. The owners have ensured that guests can be comfortable, even supplying plenty of hangers and towels (which are often in short supply in rentals). The complex has a nice, albeit small, pool that is very refreshing. Unfortunately, the pool deck is very small with seating at only the two ends--and we were unlucky in having a couple who took over one end all day, every day throughout our stay. Overall, the complex is very nice and the grounds are well-maintained.

All in all, the condo would have been great--except for issues with the plumbing. We had no hot water in the shower or kitchen for the first few days. We finally realized this was not because of poor timing in showering, so we reported the problem. It was fixed two days later (they do not do maintenance on Sundays), but then we had only hot water in the shower. In short, none of us got a good shower during the week we were there. (In fairness, I should note that we did not report the fact that we had only hot water after the repair, because we really did not want to spend another day with a maintenance man in the unit and the water turned off.) We also had a problem with a toilet plugging (despite following instructions not to flush toilet paper) and requested a plunger on our final full day, but we never got one, nor was the toilet fixed. To add to our problems, the front door came off the hinges at the top, pretty much making the door unusable until it was fixed the following day.

The pics and description of the condo depict the unit accurately. The price posted does not include fees--which is always the case, but there are more fees added than usual so that the actual price is about 45% more than the advertised price. Since you do see the final price before renting, you do know this before you reserve, but I think owners should try to incorporate as many fees as possible into the rental price so what you see first is closer to the reality.

Without the plumbing problems, we would have given the unit 5 stars. It really is a nice unit that has been outfitted very well and it is clear the owners care about ensuring their guests are comfortable.

The perfect vacation rental!

What a beautiful rental. It was the perfect rental for us. There was an issue with water in the guest house when we first arrived. Claudia and her team dealt with it quickly as soon as it was brought to her attention. They were very professional to deal with. The house and gardens are as beautiful as the photos show. Everything was nice and clean and in order. The kitchen is full stocked with all you need for cooking and eating. Close enough to Tamarindo to enjoy all the activities and restaurants. I would definitely recommend booking this rental if you are going to the Tamarindo area.

Enjoyed Gabriella's hospitality. At first we were confused at how to get in, we had to call the office to be let in. Inside of the condo was immaculate, well decorated. We really enjoyed our stay here
