About Angela

I love the outdoors. As an artist, I gain inspiration from the beauty of the surrounding Inyo National Forest and the Eastern Sierra. There is so much to see and do here, that it's not easy to choose -- fishing, hiking, golf, mountain biking in the summer, and skiing, ice-skating and sledding in the winter.

Angela purchased this condo in 2011

Why Angela chose Gold Country / High Sierra

This is our vacation home -- we hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do! It's a great location as a base for outdoor activities and perfect for relaxation afterwards.

What makes this condo unique

There are three hot, steamy Jacuzzis and three relaxing saunas, a swimming pool, gas grills and a picnic area. So convenient, the free shuttles are just around the corner, and we walk to the restaurants and stores. Down comforters and a new wood stove keep you warm and cozy.

Mammoth Ski Hideout

  • 4 of 5

My son and I stayed at the Pine View Loft for a week while skiing at Mammoth. The condo is clean, cozy and well situated. Close to food, Mountain shuttle and shops, etc. We would definitely use this condo again.

A good central location at a fair price

  • 4 of 5

A comfortable place for a couple with/without 1-2 small children. Upstairs bed is large and comfortable. It sits in a loft, so note no privacy to the common area, not an issue for us. The place was clean and comfortable. Common area is on the smaller side. Small water heater, just enough for two quick hot showers. The hot tube across from the unit was nice and hot, good after two hard days of snowboarding. The kitchen has the essentials. Could use some fresh seasonings, i.e. pepper. Wifi was a real plus as most of the listings don't provide this. Note, the walls are on the thin side. Could hear people walking in snow boots in the hallway at 5:30 am and the dog barking next door in the early evening. The neighbors seem to have had the dog under control by bed time and luckily we are early risers for the pre-alarm boot walk wake up. Overall a nice place.

Great place to stay.

  • 5 of 5

My fiance and I came up to Mammoth from San Diego for 3 nights. We were so happy when we arrived at Mountain Shadows. The place was clean, with all the comforts that we enjoy. The fireplace warmed the place beautifully. There are two flat screen TV's, a complete kitchen that we used for most meals, and a good feeling atmosphere. The bed we slept in was very comfortable. The shower had great pressure. We parked right in front, which was great because we received a ton of snow. We love the location and walked down town to shop. The owner was very helpful when we had to ask her a couple of questions. We have to head home this morning, and we really don't want to leave! Looking forward to staying here again.

Very clean, cozy. Price was right.

Came to Mammoth to celebrate husband's birthday. Perfect for two people. Kitchen was nice, although I was bummed out after buying all the ingredients to make a nice dinner that there was no Pyrex or tin foil. I managed to use a different pan. Not a big deal. The King bed was pretty comfortable. The condo does keep the heat in so the up stairs ceiling fan was a huge plus. The bathrooms are nice showers work good. The only thing I would have to complain about is the neighbor in room 9. We were getting our shoes on to go out to dinner for my Husbands birthday, set our trash bag on the doorstep of the condo we rented for less than 5 minutes and he comes banging on the door very aggressively. When my husband opened the door he starts yelling at us saying we're trashing the hall and that he lives here. We told him we were on our way out to dinner and we were just getting our shoes on. He continued to "attack" my husband trying to start a fight. We tried to tell him that we respect that you live here but literally we on our way out. I probably won't be back because of the guy in room 9. After that guy yelling at us I felt very uneasy. Just glad my kids weren't with us. They didn't need to see this guy.

Owner's Response: Never having encountered problems with my neighbors, I cannot comment on your husband's personal confrontation. The onsite management had contacted me to convey the neighbor's viewpoint. As to the lack of tinfoil, I endeavor to provide basic necessities but cannot think of everything. The grocery store is minutes away. I'm happy that you otherwise enjoyed your stay.

Cozy and close to everything

  • 5 of 5

This is a great little condo for the price. Very clean, good sized bathrooms, full kitchen, TVs with cable and lots of dry firewood for the wood burning stove. Location is close to everything including the shuttle lines, restaurants, stores, gym, etc. Angela, the owner, was very responsive. My only complaint, and it's very minor, is that you can hear the neighbors walking in their units and the interior hallways.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your kind words. I've looked into sound-proofing or acoustic panels, without success, as the methods used would involve demolishing adjacent neighbors' walls! I'm told that the noise level is similar to that of apartment dwelling. I do hope that you were not too inconvenienced.
