Overview

About the property

We invite you to get away from it all and just relax in our cozy A-frame mountain home located inside the Massanutten Resort gates. The open floor plan makes it easy for your family to enjoy each other while also having areas for relaxing and dining.

Walking into the first floor you are welcomed by high ceilings and windows with lots of natural light, a stone fireplace, cozy couch, a dining area and complete kitchen. Down the hall are 2 bedrooms, one which is great for the kids with bunk beds and then another with a comfortable Queen sized bed. There is also a full bath and a mud room to hang those wet towels from the water park or ski jackets after a day of play.

Upstairs is a loft area for reading or playing games, along with a master bedroom with a King sized pillow top mattress and full bath.

Enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck in a set of rocking chairs where you may see our regular deer that visit daily. Come get away and relax!

About Gina Lane

We live in Virginia Beach, but once the mountains are in your blood it's hard to let go! We love to get away and enjoy each other as a family and have some down time away from the hustle and bustle. The kids have a blast at the Waterpark and snow tubing in the winter. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Why Gina Lane chose Massanutten

We love this property because it's so comfortable and feels and looks like a true mountain home. When we get away we feel like we are in a mountain retreat.

Great cozy place!

  • 5 of 5

This place was great. It had everything we needed to enjoy a great skiing weekend. From ages 5 to 65 we all had a great time.

Good location but a bit run down

  • 3 of 5

There was plenty of room for the 6 of us and the location was good to check out the resort and surrounding area. We did have a wonderful time in the area and the owner was very easy to communicate and work with. The only issues we had were the home was older and a bit run down and it could use a good spring cleaning. We did have to drive to the ski slopes but we did not ski much so it was not an issue for us but there were villas and homes closer to the slopes that would work well if you wanted to be in walking distance to the slopes. We did check out the Appalachian Trail and Skyline Drive which was great! Enjoyed heading into Harrisonburg for a nice meal.

Older, but cozy home. Modest but still good value for price.

  • 3 of 5

Small, cozy home convenient to bottom of mountain. Consider it a value rental relative to some of the larger, more updated, homes available for rent in the area. House was very clean when we arrived but weather was warm and in evening dozens of large flies were on ceilings in several rooms. After extermination there was not a repeat but no source for them found so they must have been trapped in home on last cleaning.
