Gainesville House Rental Photos and Description

Private Lake Home Setting with Party Dock is Convenient to Gainesville

House, 5 Bedrooms, 4.5 Baths (Sleeps 13)

This newer lake home is the perfect spot for your Lake Lanier vacation. Located on a huge cove, this waterfront property has views of 'big water' from the dock and a large double slip dock with party deck on a quiet area of the lake in Gainesville, Georgia.

This spacious home would be perfect for a family vacation, family reunion or even a couple of families staying together. There is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy your stay in Gainesville on Lake Lanier. The property gently slopes to the water for an easy walk to the dock. The house is only a short drive from downtown Gainesville as well as Lake Lanier Islands and the Premium Outlet Mall in Dawsonville.

There are 5 bedrooms (see below), 4 full bathrooms and one half bathroom. This house has plenty of of beds-- located on 3 floors which allows for some privacy. The main living room has a wall of windows overlooking the trees and lake view through the trees, beautiful hardwood floors, a massive stone fireplace and vaulted ceilings.

Wifi is available and there is an office area--a perfect spot not far from other activities to get away for a little quiet.

For outdoor living, there are three deck areas – two covered decks--one with 3 ceiling fans--and a deck by the outdoor kitchen and fire pit. For entertainment, there are board games, a large flat screen, smart TV with Blu-Ray player and a shuffleboard table on the terrace level.

When you are at the lake, you can sit on the dock and enjoy the sun on the upper part of large party dock or stay below for more shade or fishing. Either location allows for a great view of lake activities. There are boats and jet skis for rent at various marinas on the lake, the closest being Port Royale. Ask about kayak and stand up paddle board rental from owner - free delivery.

About Joni Tuttle

We are from Gwinnett county Georgia and wanted a second home not too far from our primary home so we could use it often. Our kids love water sports and bringing friends to the lake. Family time is precious and being together at the lake makes it easier for us to spend some quality time as a family.

Joni Tuttle purchased this house in 2006

Why Joni Tuttle chose Lake Lanier

We owned a house on Lake Lanier a little further north before building this one. We desired a lot that wasn't as steep of a walk down to the lake, and this one fit the bill. The setting among the trees and the privacy we have at the house is perfect. No matter what the water levels are on the lake, we are able to move the dock out further so that we always have water and can get our boats in and out.

The house itself is great for couples as well as families since four of the five bedrooms have their own bathroom. It has been a wonderful house for family vacations as well as entertaining.

What makes this house unique

There are many things we love about the house. The outdoor kitchen with the fire ring is one of our favorites. No matter what time of year, we use the outdoor grill and fire ring as a place to gather. The covered decks off the back of the house are good for meals and to sit and relax with a cup of coffee. The ceiling fans keep it a comfortable temperature in the warm months.

The cove where our dock is located makes a great spot to sit and watch people fish, tube or ski. It is a protected spot, yet very open without being in an area where the dock/boat gets knocked around. The location on the lake is convenient; we love to take the boat over to Pelican Pete's to eat and listen to music. There is always something to do and Gainesville is 10 minutes away if we want to go shopping or go to dinner.

Wonderful lake house for our family vacation! Very pretty inside and very spacious!

  • 4 of 5

This lake home was great for our family- very spacious and everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom.

Very pretty and decorated nicely. We had a lot of fun swimming and boating- the cove was nice for paddle boarding, kayaking and waterskiing. It was a wonderful family time for us!

Our family of 10 had a wonderful week at this beautiful lake home. We fished, swam, paddle boarded and did some tube skiing. Lots to do in the area. The house was perfect.

An amazing stay!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this home! We were here for my youngest son's wedding. My husband, myself and two sons with their young families stayed with us. This home was very child friendly. Being right after Christmas there was a lovely Christmas tree up to enjoy adding to the wonderful ambiance.

As we entered the main floor we noticed the lovely high-end wood floors and the upgraded kitchen, very well stocked! The kitchen overlooked a large living area and dining room and the big master bedroom was off the dining area. This bedroom had a huge shower with two faucets. Also there was a big walk-in closet. On this main floor was the laundry room and an office with sitting chairs.

The two families were on the second floor where three bedrooms are located...two masters each with their own bathroom and a room at the top of the stairs with 3 beds perfect for our 3 young kids (7,5,2 in age).

Then there was the basement...another full living room with a shuffleboard table and a well-stocked closet with board games. Here was also a full size dining room table and kitchenette (fridge, sink and cabinets). Plus another king-size bedroom and a full bath! Wow!

Outside were many amenities we were not able to use considering the winter season...but we did use the fire pit...a highlight of our stay! We also used the outdoor grill which was part of a full size outdoor covered kitchen. Parking for cars was plentiful!

We walked down the lighted path behind the house to the double decker pier where there was a paddle boat for use in nicer weather. This would be ideal for a summer stay.

As far as the owners go...they were very responsive and friendly when questions were asked or assistance was needed. I can't thank them enough for making our stay a wonderful one!

Awesome property on the lake with fire pit. Love the open floor plan. If you have a big family, it's great. Great gathering area with kitchen, family and dining area but also separate areas on deck and veranda and lower floor. Owner very easy to deal with and immediately responds. Went for a wedding with family and had a great stay!!!!!. Beautiful home.

This home is beautiful. It is laid out perfectly for a large family, and all the details are well thought out. It is equipped with everything you need to cook. The outdoor fire pit is wonderful, and we used it every night. The views in December are fantastic with a lovely walk down to the boat house. We would love to return.

Nestled in the foothills of the Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains and nurtured by the Chattahoochee and Chestatee Rivers, Lake Sidney Lanier is named for the post Sidney Clopton Lanier, whose admiration of the area's scenic beauty inspired him to compose his famous 'Song of the Chattahoochee'.

Lake Lanier is one of America's favorite lakes. With several million visitors annually enjoying its recreational facilities, it has been the most visited Corp of Engineers project in the nation.

One reason for for the lake's popularity is its proximity to metropolitian Atlanta, Georgia. A well-developed road network surrounds Lake Lanier, with several highways crossing the main body. Visitors can enjoy the city of Atlanta and, in the space of a short drive, can lose themselves in the tranquility at Lake Lanier.

Lake Lanier, impounded by Buford Dam, encompasses 38,000 surface acres of water with 540 miles of shorelines. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has developed and operates numerous public parks around the lake for camping and day-use activities.

Lake Lanier Islands, a development by the State of Georgia and the Corps of Engineers, is the major resort area on the lake. The Islands complex provides picnicking, camping, beach areas, a water theme park, tennis courts, golf courses, rental boats, and hotel accommodations. Numerous other recreation areas operated by county and city agencies also offer recreational opportunities around the lake.

Lake Lanier was host to the 1996 Centennial Olympic Rowing and Sprint/Canoe/Kayak Events, as well as the 1996 Paralympic Yachting events. These honors have helped make Lanier a world class lake.
