NYC Hell's Kitchen Apartment

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is excellent! Clean, spacious, well appointed and close to the sights. I think the apartment is probably "large" by NYC standards as the size is comparable with apartments in the midwest. The apartment was advertised as a one bedroom but recently the second bedroom was opened up and we were able to stay in the second bedroom. Both beds are full sized (one queen & one king) with nice bedding and sheets. The apartment is on the second floor but street noise was not really an issue, especially in the smaller bedroom off the kitchen. The host met us personally at the apartment upon our arrival to greet us and get us familiar with the area. The host was also excellent with texting us during our stay. He was able to provide restaurant recommendations that were fantastic. The apartment is just a few blocks from Broadway, Times Square, Central Park and a subway station. Everything is just a quick walk. There are a wide variety of restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, convenience stores, etc. all within a block or two. If you are looking for an apartment in a neighborhood that is still close to the tourist sights with access to restaurants/bars with an accommodating host, you have found it! We highly recommend.

Perfect Midtown Location

  • 5 of 5

This Hell's Kitchen apartment served as the perfect spot for our week-long visit. Close to theaters, restaurants, the park, and the subway. We could get anywhere easily, and the immediate area (9th St) had a wide variety of restaurants just around the corner (we loved Uncle Nicks). Juan was a great host and was readily available to answer questions or offer suggestions. The living room setup was roomy, with a comfy sofa and huge tv. The king bed was a real plus, and there were plenty of outlets for charging electronics. All in all this was a great choice. We highly recommend it!

May NYC trip

  • 5 of 5

Great host who met us at the apartment and gave us the skinny on everything including how to use Lyft. The apartment was clean with a really comfy bed and furniture and great tv, which hubby appreciated. The very best part of this rental is the location. We were able to walk almost everywhere, Central Park (rickshaw ride super) Times Square (a favorite), Trump Tower, St. Pat's Cathedral (must see) and much more. Circle Line around Manhattan should also be at the top of your list. The Wall St. Experience was so informative even if you don't follow the stock market so much, great guide. #1 on our to do list was the 911 Memorial. We did the 1 1/2 hr. walking tour and combined that with the museum (both will bring you to tears) and the ride to the top on the 102 floor observatory. What a magnificent view of NY when they opened the "walls". Heard so many people catch their breath... The location also was super for getting the essentials, an Amish market very close (good buffet every day to go) and a liquor store, both within 5 min walk. Recommend Georgio's Country Grill (everybody delivers!) and Marilu Pizza, both good and close. Too many superb restaurants in this location to list, but you will be satisfied! Host even was able to help me find a pair of flipflops when I got a blister on my foot from so much walking! Hosts were especially easy to communicate with and so attentive to our needs. A really special trip!

Perfect apartment, perfect location, perfect Hosts!!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was exactly what we were looking for for our New York vacation! From the very beginning the hosts were friendly and communicative. By the time we arrived I felt like we were old friends!

The location is perfect. We had tickets to The Book of Mormon and Chicago (which were both excellent!) and were so happy to see we were only a few blocks from both theaters. Hell's Kitchen is a perfect location for many sights. Just blocks away from Central Park, Rockefeller Center and Times Square, and the subway, among other attractions.

The apartment was fully equipped with everything we could need. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. The hosts were available to us at all times even when we had cable problems after a day of rain. They called the cable company and stayed with us by text until the TV was back up and running. They recommended great restaurants for us and even had an answer to our last night question of what's the best way to get to the airport. That availability was very comforting to us. By the way there are plenty of great deli's and markets in Hell's Kitchen too.

All in all it was a great choice!!

Clean, quiet, comfortable, spacious, well equipped. Super location. Great host. Would return.

  • 5 of 5

Yuan was very welcoming -the apartment was very clean and spacious and well equipped with all the essentials. Nice to find coffee, shampoo ,paper towels etc. The location could not be better - we went to 7 plays in 11 days and walked to every one of them including one at Lincoln Center. Super wine bars and restaurants within two blocks. Our faves were Aria on 51st and Casalulla next door. The area is safe . Close to the subway although we found Uber to be the best for the 5 of us . We'd return. Try to see NYC in the spring - it looked beautiful with all the blossoms and tulips etc.

Wonderful place to stay in New York!

  • 5 of 5

I visited NYC with my daughter and 15 year old Granddaughter. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, giving us tips re local places to get groceries, restaurants and sightseeing. We took advantage of the extra bedroom as we had a 10 day stay, and the beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of room to spread out. The apartment had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen, for when we wanted to eat in. The Amish market is close by for groceries and has a good variety, but we were blown away by the fresh food available at the Whole Foods Market in Columbus Circle.

Hells Kitchen is a great area to stay in as there is a huge variety of food available from a vast array of restaurants, and this is where the locals eat, so the prices were reasonable as well. We particularly liked the Meatball Shop on 9th Ave, as well as the Holey Cream Ice Cream Shop which we visited a few times.

Transport was easy as the Subway was only a short walk away, and we also made use of Uber on some occasions, although walking was our preference as there was so much to see on the way. We enjoyed the sight seeing and Central Park was a favourite, along with The Met where we spent several hours. The World Trade Centre Memorial is a special place and not to be missed, and is suitable for a rainy day. The views from the Empire State Building are worth seeing, and we also caught the subway to the far side of the Brooklyn Bridge then walked back over it, to get a different view of the city and the Statue of Liberty. The Staten Island Ferry is free and a great way to get photos of the Statue of Liberty up close. Times Square is always a pleasure to walk though and only 10 minutes from the apartment. Grand Central Station makes you feel like you are in the movies, and also worth seeing. We also saw a performance of the Lion King and enjoyed it very much. An unexpected pleasure from visiting NYC at this time of the year was the street gardens full of daffodils and tulips, and these were everywhere!

I would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a comfortable, convenient place to stay, and we will be back to see the many sights that we did not have time for this time.
