Amazing location. Perfect for seeing the best NYC has to offer.
We have stayed in this rental before, and it remains our favorite NYC landing spot! The apartment is spotlessly clean and well equipped, with plenty of room for the two of us plus occasional visitors. The location is as good as it gets, easy access for all the theaters, fantastic Hell's Kitchen restaurants, and quick walk to the subway stops. This trip we enjoyed a couple of shows (Curious Incident.., and American in Paris were both great), and some museum time including the Tenement Museum on the lower east side, well worth the visit. Also made use of Seamless app for delivery of a couple of great simple meals to the cozy and comfortable apartment, as well as enjoying a very good Italian meal at Amarone, and a great meal at Keens with our son who lives in Brooklyn.
However beyond all that, the best part of this particular VRBO spot is the owner/hosts, who make it as if you really are staying at the place of longtime friends or family. They are welcoming and meet you in person to make sure you have everything you need, and answer any questions about the area. A much more personal and friendly approach makes for an easy and low-stress stay.
Making a return visit is of course the best recommendation anyone could make, and we will for sure be back yet again!
All was excellent at the apartment - HAMILTON on Broadway, Knicks game, Washington's Inaugural Bible, Brooklyn, etc. Most of all, we were trying to fall in love there and it worked!
Inspired by Billy Joel - he was great! We were certainly in a New York State of mind!
Awesome place. We were very happy. Thank you for your graciousness and all the best to your family.

PS: We left flowers, wine, etc. for you
This apartment is excellent! Clean, spacious, well appointed and close to the sights. I think the apartment is probably "large" by NYC standards as the size is comparable with apartments in the midwest. The apartment was advertised as a one bedroom but recently the second bedroom was opened up and we were able to stay in the second bedroom. Both beds are full sized (one queen & one king) with nice bedding and sheets. The apartment is on the second floor but street noise was not really an issue, especially in the smaller bedroom off the kitchen. The host met us personally at the apartment upon our arrival to greet us and get us familiar with the area. The host was also excellent with texting us during our stay. He was able to provide restaurant recommendations that were fantastic. The apartment is just a few blocks from Broadway, Times Square, Central Park and a subway station. Everything is just a quick walk. There are a wide variety of restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, convenience stores, etc. all within a block or two. If you are looking for an apartment in a neighborhood that is still close to the tourist sights with access to restaurants/bars with an accommodating host, you have found it! We highly recommend.
We have had the most amazing time!! The apartment is perfect! Kinky Boots was really good and Jersey Boys was amazing. Also went to see Shear Madness on our last night. Loved the location....very convenient for all things!! Enjoyed amazing food at Merilu Pizza and Nocello. We were sad to leave and would have loved to stay a few more days. Thanks again for a wonderful experience!
The host told us where to eat (all his recommendations were great) how to get around, etc, etc. We had a short stay and our own itinerary so we didn't ask what we should do but had we asked, I'm sure the owner would have had more great recommendations. We started off by seeing "The Front Page” on Broadway starring John Goodman & Nathan Lane. It was great! We then spent the entire next day at the 9/11 museum. Our final day was focused on the Klimt exhibit at the NEUE gallery followed by TABOON restaurant down on the corner of 10th Ave and 52nd St (less than a block away from the apt). A must try and the best meal we had all week. The apartment was very comfortable and beat a hotel stay both in comfort and price.
This apartment is perfect! Spacious, comfy and so close to everything, and I mean everything Manhattan has to offer. Just blocks from Central Park, Times Square, Broadway and most important the subway. The owner and I had some confusion (due to holidays) but the owner made it all come together at the very last minute because I really believe he cared so much more about our comfort than the $$. (We were stuck in a hotel the first night) Being so far away, as we are from Hawaii it was wonderful that he cared so much that we have a comfortable stay. And that we did. Super clean. Everything you might need. Lovely kitchen. Large den and bedroom. The stores and restaurants are steps away.
I could go on and on but I'll just say all of the five star reviews say exactly what I would write.
Lastly.... my husband left his prescription shampoo accidentally. The owner notified me immediately to ask if he could mail it to us. Who does that??? I'll tell you who. Someone that truely cares about others. This owner could be a great friend to me but I only know his name and his apartment number!
Hands down if we return to Manhattan we would stay here again and again.
Mahalo owners and a warm aloha to you...
This location is perfectly nestled in between Times Square, Central Park, and the BROADWAY shows theatre district. You also have the Hudson River only two blocks away. 9th Avenue has an array of incredible cuisine and the best (reasonable) restaurant row in all of Manhattan.
Defined as the area from 36th Street to 59th Street, Midtown West has many great attractions worth seeing:
Times Square, Central Park,
Broadway Theater District,
New York Public Library,
