Amazing location. Perfect for seeing the best NYC has to offer.
We have stayed in this rental before, and it remains our favorite NYC landing spot! The apartment is spotlessly clean and well equipped, with plenty of room for the two of us plus occasional visitors. The location is as good as it gets, easy access for all the theaters, fantastic Hell's Kitchen restaurants, and quick walk to the subway stops. This trip we enjoyed a couple of shows (Curious Incident.., and American in Paris were both great), and some museum time including the Tenement Museum on the lower east side, well worth the visit. Also made use of Seamless app for delivery of a couple of great simple meals to the cozy and comfortable apartment, as well as enjoying a very good Italian meal at Amarone, and a great meal at Keens with our son who lives in Brooklyn.
However beyond all that, the best part of this particular VRBO spot is the owner/hosts, who make it as if you really are staying at the place of longtime friends or family. They are welcoming and meet you in person to make sure you have everything you need, and answer any questions about the area. A much more personal and friendly approach makes for an easy and low-stress stay.
Making a return visit is of course the best recommendation anyone could make, and we will for sure be back yet again!
We had a great time throughout the 8 days we stayed here. Apartment was centrally located within walking distance of times square, broadway, central park, and the hudson river. It had all the necessary amenities and worked well for 2 adults and 2 kids. The hosts were available and very responsive. Welcomed us at our 1am arrival!
It was our first time in Manahattan and we loved every moment of it. The streets are very safe to walk around, even late in the evening. The weather was perfect. Not too hot and not cold at all. We would definitely want to come back and stay here again.
We stayed here for 5 days and luckily we stumbled upon the BEST RENTAL EVER. Words cannot describe this location and the hosts. A few blocks from Times Square, the subway, and anything else you could ask for. The neighborhood is to die for and is a must when experiencing New York. This location will make you feel like a true New Yorker for the duration of your stay. Within a stones throw you will find some of the best restaurants and establishments that you will ever come across. There is an abundance of culture and diversity in this neighborhood to make anyone feel welcome. If you feel like you might be overwhelmed with this electric city than have no fear, you will have the hosts of a lifetime a phone call/text or email away. Upon arrival we were enthusiastically greeted and welcomed like we were returning to a place that we had previously called home. The host gave the best suggestions on places that we should visit and if you are lucky enough to meet these two and book this rental, listen to their advice as they will not steer you wrong. We had a great time and will definitely look to stay here when we come back to New York.
We had a great vacation and loved the apartment. The location was great. On the second floor so not too many stairs. A few blocks to the subway and Times Square and Broadway. There is a bodega on the corner and a few other markets within walking distance. The A/C worked well. The kitchen is stocked with cookware and dishes and some basic condiments and accessories (they have coffee filters and sugar, for example). Lots of blankets and towels. We had 3 adults and an 8 year old and we all slept comfortably. Nice TV for relaxing after a long day. The host was very nice and easy to connect with. Recommended!!
We stayed 7 days and had the best vacation ever. Triple loved the location. Close walk to Broadway, Time Square and Central Park. We ate well and enjoyed our stay. Our host was there to greet us and answer any questions we had during the week. While we were in NYC we did the following:
Central Park, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, 6 Broadway shows and a comedy club. Now we need to sleep for a week. Plus the AC and cable helped with watching the Olympics in the evening.
I cannot recommend this place enough. When we go back, we will definitely be looking to stay again.
We stayed 10 days in this very comfortable, clean, pleasant apartment. It was well-stocked with everything we needed. The owner gave us a very complete, helpful, detailed orientation when we arrived. He responded promptly when we texted him with questions. It was wonderful to return to an air-conditioned haven after spending the day out in the hot humid weather. The apartment is conveniently located, just a quick walk to multiple restaurants, the theater district, subway stations, a small grocery store, and a pharmacy. We would definitely stay here again when we revisit NY City, and we would definitely recommend this place to friends/family. A few fun off-the-beaten-track things we discovered: Tuesday 9:30 AM free T'ai chi class on the Highline; 2 free museums not usually mentioned: Federal Hall, the first US Capital and site where George Washington was first sworn in as President, and the National Museum of the American Indian (the R train drops you right there). Both worth a visit. Not free but equally interesting was the Tenement Museum, at 97 Orchard Street. They offer several escorted tours, which fill up quickly. If you have a wait before your tour, enjoy food and drink at the Blue Moon Cafe, just across the street.
This location is perfectly nestled in between Times Square, Central Park, and the BROADWAY shows theatre district. You also have the Hudson River only two blocks away. 9th Avenue has an array of incredible cuisine and the best (reasonable) restaurant row in all of Manhattan.
Defined as the area from 36th Street to 59th Street, Midtown West has many great attractions worth seeing:
Times Square, Central Park,
Broadway Theater District,
New York Public Library,
