Village Manor Townhomes is a small complex of 6 4-unit buildings, in a prime spot on the beach side (no beach view as resort fronts ocean between condos and beach) of Kapaa town. Walk everywhere… Grocery/Coffee across the street, 2.5 mile beach bike path and bike rental next door; Beach is Approx. 3 minute walk and Wailua River is a 10 min bike ride on path.

This location puts you on the Bike Path that is 2.5 miles along the coast of Kapaa. Bike rentals are usually $5 a day at the rentals next to this complex. This unit is also located within walking/bike distance to Coconut Marketplace, HukiLai Lanai and Lava Lava Restaurant/Bar.

The VRKauai crew is just that, a crew. We all met on Kauai paddling with the Kawaikini Canoe Club. OC-6 is alive and well. Outrigger canoes, with 6 seats, is a competitive sport dear to the residents of Kauai. We have a great time on the water so we decided to team up off the water also.
We manage these units for the owners on Kauai and enjoy every minute of providing them this service.
Each of us has lived here long enough to be able to share our island knowledge and adventures on Kauai and love doing just that. Between us we're sure we can help with any request for activities, great views, and much adventure. Well, everyone is anxious to tell about their adventures on Kauai... but Lou.... well, we won't go there. She's not allowed to tell all of her stories. We look forward to meeting each and every one of our guests and look forward to hearing from you.

This place is everything you need for your trip to the beautiful island of Kauai. To be honest, you will be so busy exploring that you will barely spend much time there. For the purposes you need, this place is perfect. Kitchen is big and has everything you need. Bed is comfy, and there are two fans provided that really help you sleep because it can get very hot at night. The couch was great and the TV area was very relaxing. The Wi-Fi worked great. It is steps away from a few bike rental places, and super close to the incredible Kapaa beachside bike trail. We definitely recommend renting bikes for the day and checking it out! There is a beach literally a few steps behind the place which is nice. The town of Kapaa is beautiful itself, and is has lots of great restaurants close by (we recommend Olympic Cafe). Make sure to go the Safeway and not the the Foodland for groceries, much better prices and selection. Our only small complaint would be with the beach supplies that they provided. The chairs were tiny and uncomfortable, the umbrella barely held up and the snorkels were broken.
Property being painted while here but communication with Dawn your Island Representative smoothed that over. It's here personal touch that made any inconvenience very minor. Would recommend to my friends
This property was exactly how the pictures portray it. It was a very quiet location except for the roosters. I am unfortunately a light sleeper so they bothered me more than my husband. However they are everywhere. Beach chairs, snorkel gear, towels were great to have for our trip. There is a pizza pan now however it was slightly too big for the oven and then there wasn't a pizza cutter. (another review had requested a pizza pan which is why I even am mentioning this.) Very close to grocery stores and then the Kapaa downtown as well. Everything we needed for our stay. Coconut Marketplace nearby is under renovation but there were some cute shops and we went there and saw a free hula dancing show. Then we ate at the fresh fish market there for dinner very excellent food as well. It was easy to get to the north shore or south shore if you are out sight seeing. Nice and centrally located.
The management team were able to get us in a few hours early which was nice since our flight came in earlier than 4pm. That was very nice for them to call and let us know that we could do that without getting charged for more time.
We loved our stay at this property. It was close to the beach and everything we needed. Minor issues with neighbors smoking under bedroom window, but hopefully this has been resolved for future guests. It was an ideal place for us.
We liked the quietness of the condo complex. It was very clean. Beach towels, snorkelling gear, ... supplied. The beach itself was a little farther than I thought and it wasn't ocean view but it was a great price considering 2 bedrooms, 2 baths,2tv's,and WiFi which is a must these days. Also having a full kitchen was a great plus. It did get a little warm at night even with the fans on and Windows open. Recycled bags and small cooler came in handy to take beach gear to beach. Loved that it was across the street from Foodland. Some things needed to be added to kitchen-pot holders, pizza pan, cookie sheet, Italian seasoning, all purpose seasoning.
We had a great time. The condo was very nice, clean, had everything we needed. More than enough room for 2 of us. It's a very quiet place (except for those stupid roosters at 4am hahahahahaha). We only saw a couple neighbors briefly, otherwise it was like we were by ourselves. We didn't have a need to contact the property managers for anything so I can't comment on that. Very convenient access to the main road around the island. We didn't use the water gear but it was nice that it was there. 1 suggestion for a "nice to have": we could've used a small cooler for day trips. It's not something you think of ahead of time or pack on a trip. Wasn't a big deal, tho.
VRBO didn't really provide detailed directions to the condo. It wasn't too hard to find, especially since I'd looked online already. But we arrived after dark so it was just a little confusing. Also, I had to dig through emails to find the one that had the unit number. As I'm looking now at the contract agreement, I see it all there. Let me suggest making that stand out a bit more. Maybe bigger, bold text, a different color. That way when someone is fumbling around trying to find the directions & address, it will jump out at them. But it wasn't a big deal - we arrived and found the place just fine - and had no trouble finding the lockbox with the key.
It was a convenient short walk to a couple grocery stores. One of the local kayaking outfitters is only about 100 yards away. And the beach is about the same. The public access to the beach isn't marked but easy to figure out.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay.
Resort is on the 2 mile Bike Path.

CANCELLATIONS - A thirty (30) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date will incur a $50 processing fee and return of deposit. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay is, or are made within 30 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment. Cancellation during your stay, or early departure, within the 30 days does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit.
