Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We came to Boyne City with three couples, two teenagers, and a baby; and we had plenty of room in this house. The house is great, and the location is even better. We walked to town several times because there are plenty of shops to browse. The public beach is conveniently close. We enjoyed the Young State Park beach a little more, but we had to drive to that one. Two breweries within walking distance (highly recommend 7 monks over Boyne City taproom if you're going for food as well). Ken is SO friendly and helpful... he even let us use his kayaks and bikes. He was very honest about the fact that this house is a work in progress (being such an old house, he is continually making improvements... mostly just cosmetic). There are two options for a firepit, one in the back yard with a privacy fence around it, and a very nice table with a gas firepit in the center which we chose to use every night out of convenience, and the fact that it's right in the front and you can see the "action" going on in town (mostly just people walking by). If you're adventurous be sure to visit Avalanche park for a good hike up to see beautiful views. We also went to Wildwood Rush and did the canopy tour ziplines. HIGHLY recommend. Everyone had a blast.

Thanks again, Ken! We hope to see you next year.

A great home away from home! Can't wait to come back

Ken was great with sharing suggestions on activities and dining in the area. The house and location is perfect. Great for families. The beach is so close and loved walking into town each night for dinner and ice cream. Thanks for such a great stay!

Fantastic downtown location

  • 4 of 5

We stayed almost the whole month of June, 2015. We experienced a few unseen repairs so on arrival the house was not ready. Ken was very accommodating and let us use his place until the repairs were completed. He was quick to respond to our questions and requests. We loved the house and the location was ideal. It was an easy walk to any place downtown for dinner or down to the marina for an early morning stroll. He was also very helpful in suggesting places to go around town for anything from boat repairs to supplies, etc. We would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Great In Town Location in Downtown Boyne

  • 4 of 5

Lots of room here for all five of us, with a room to spare. Two full baths that were in great shape. Awesome location in downtown Boyne and a stones throw from Lake Charlevoix for summer visitors. Short drive to Boyne Mountain for skiers.

Beautiful Home

  • 5 of 5

Our stay from 2/18 - 2/21 for skiing at Boyne and celebrating our daughter's 14th birthday was perfect despite the record low temps. The house was spacious, perfectly located, with every need being met with extra blankets, every utensil provided, even ice in the freezer ready to use if needed. Although the house doesn't have a dishwasher, that was of little concern to us. Everything was provided and with a double sink, doing a few dishes was relaxing after a busy day of skiing or visiting Avalanche Bay. I would highly recommend a stay.
