About the property

New 2 bed, en-suite apt, commanding views of the West Coast

Accommodation isnew & offers peaceful, clean, relaxing holidays. It is situated away from the commercial side of Barbados, but is easily reached by car/taxi etc.

The Apt offers 2 good sized bedrooms, 1 en-suite. There is a main shower room & WC. The Kitchen comes equipped with washing machine, dryer, elec cooker with large oven & grill, dishwasher, microwave, iron & board & a very large American style fridge/freezer.

The lounge opens via French Doors, likewise the main bedroom has large French doors opening out onto a very large balcony/veranda & again this has a large spacious dining area with table and chairs for the all important Al Fresco dining & a lounge area with plenty of relaxing & comfortable seating.

The sun rises to the back of the apt, giving warm morning sun & sets to the front of the apt, giving valuable shade from the heat of the Caribbean sun, & then take your recliner, along with a glass of something tasty and watch the sun sink into the blue Caribbean sea!

Deposit to secure booking: A £250 booking fee for each week you wish to stay, will secure your stay at Brocklestone, which will be taken off against your balance.

T & C's

1. Payments for deposit and booking fees will be accepted by Bacs, cash, cheque, or postal order. The balance of your Account must be paid 6 weeks before the commencement of your holiday.

2. No bookings can be accepted from groups of either young men or women unless by prior arrangement.

3. There is a £250 deposit for breakages/ damages/lost keys and also to include that the apt be kept and left, in a reasonable standard, as to how you found it please. This will be returned to you on completion of your stay and when confirmation has been received, notifying us that the above is in order. We apologise for the need to do this, but It is to cover in the event of any of the above which might inhibit or spoil for the next holiday makers coming to stay at the apartment

4. Bookings are accepted in the order of deposits received.

T&C's - REURNABLE DEPOSIT: 5. In the event of cancellation, we would like to point out that a booking is a contract and deposits will only be returned if the accommodation is re-let, so please inform us early if you have to cancel.

6. Bookings will not be accepted for more people that the numbers quoted on the brochure for each unit.

7. In the event of fire, storm, tempest or any other disaster which makes your booked accommodation unavailable, we will do our best to provide you with alternative dates or a full refund on your deposit.

8 In order that you may enjoy your holiday we aim to provide your with peaceful surroundings. We reserve the right to evict anyone who causes any excess disturbance, which we consider may be spoiling other peoples’ holiday or is deemed unacceptable by the management.

9. Bedding must not be used outside the apartment.

Christmas in Barbados!

Firstly, we would like to say a big thank you to Jennine and Laurence for their time and energy in providing us with information on this wonderful island. We have been lucky to travel to many destinations around the world, and we can honestly say that Brocklestone was by far one of the cleanest, well presented, well facilitated and nicest apartments that we have stayed in.

As we have stated in the guest visitors hand book, "we would not stay anywhere else in Barbados".

Final thoughts - before you even arrive in a destination or even think of booking somewhere it all begins with the very first point of call. We must say that from the very first moment we enquired about this fabulous apartment we were able to engage and receive personable, friendly and a humble warm attitude in return. That before booking is for us of the utmost importance.

Thank you Jennine and Laurence for a lovely 17 night vacation and when we return to Barbados we will not be looking elsewhere.

Peaceful, Spacious and Relaxing

"Brocklestone Hill" in Vuemont development was an excellent accommodation for the four of us. A car is a must, but we had planned on renting one anyway. The location was splendid as we were no more than about 30 minutes from anywhere we wanted to go and much closer to many including excellent beaches. The all inclusive Almond Beach resort only about ten minutes away was our preferred "day at the beach" destination. Also we did not have to fight traffic every time we wanted to go anywhere which would not have been the case in many other parts of the island. The grocery store at the end of the street made it easy to pick up any daily necessities when we returned at the end of the evening. The apartment was very roomy, clean well maintained and extremely well laid out to allow the lovely and fairly constant breeze to flow through the apartment. It had all the amenities we needed and the staff of the complex were very helpful and extremely friendly and welcoming. The elevator was very welcome for luggage and big grocery days, but walking up the stairs was good exercise the rest of the time. Walking in the country is extremely difficult as there is very little if any shoulder and fewer sidewalks with lots of blind hills and corners. Walking within the complex, however was safe and secure and provided a good workout each morning. We had the four pools pretty much to ourselves the whole two weeks. Barbados is not a low budget vacation destination and the reasonable cost of the apartment split between the two couples made it possible for us to enjoy all the attractions we wanted to without worrying about the expense. All of us agreed we would recommend it to any of our friends who may travel to Barbados in the future and to stay again ourselves if we come back.

Huge balcony to relax on

Ideally located away from the main tourist areas for exploring the whole island by car.

A very peaceful complex with well tended gardens. You may be lucky enough to see monkeys or humming birds from the balcony.

It gets the early morning sun before it gets too intense. After which it is in the welcome shade and catches the cooling easterly breeze. There are 2 sofas so it is like being in an outdoor lounge. Very comfortable.

There is also a good sized dining table and chairs to eat al fresco in the cooling breeze.

There are also sun loungers and drying facilities.

Outside the front door gets the evening sun.

The whole apartment is very homely with lots of equipment to be completely self catering.

Jennine gave us useful information about where to eat and places to go.

A good map and guide book and the island is yours to explore.

Brocklestone Hill Apartment

Our 1st holiday in the Caribbean and it turned out a 5 star adventure. The apartment couldn’t have been better, providing everything required including extra detail like wi-fi internet, travel plugs in most sockets, lots of beach towels. It is presented to an exceptional standard by local a helpful and attentive team. The apartment complex Vuemont is inland and in a quiet location so a car is essential. But Speightstown is only a few minutes away and has most things required for self-catering and some excellent places to eat, similarly only few minutes away are the fabulous west coast beaches. Many thanks Jennine, and look forward to returning sometime soon.

Christmas in Barbados

We have always had Christmas at home and never been to Barbados before so it was a new experience all round, but we needn't have worried as absolutely everything was perfect. The apartment was clean, well-equipped and comfortable. The information provided by Jennine before the holiday was useful and accurate and both Terry and his lovely partner Rochelle provided us with great, personal service during our stay, starting with being picked up at the airport. The apartment is part of a small development set on a hill with good facilities including a club house with fabulous sweeping views down to the sea. It's a few minutes drive to Speightstown which has a good supermarket and restaurants. We felt safe and were welcomed everywhere we went. Despite being told it was high season, we often had the beautiful local beach almost to ourselves. We had the most amazing Christmas lunch at the Fish Pot which cost a fraction of what you'd pay in England for a meal of that quality on a public holiday - and without the backdrop of turquoise ocean, blue sky and lapping surf - a magical day that we'll never forget. For us this was the ideal holiday, providing the space and freedom of an apartment with hotel standard facilities and first class personal service when it suited. Would not hesitate to recommend and when we return to Barbados this is definitely where we'll be staying. Thanks again Jennine, Terry and Rochelle. The Stringer family.

A GREAT PLACE TO STAY

The apartment lived up to it's billing. Beautiful sea views to the front & pool views to the rear. Due to the apartment's elevation there was a lovely through breeze, which at this time of year meant no aircon was necessary. The Vuemont complex boosts three pools, tennis courts, and a small gym. For extra exercise a walk around the complex first thing in the morning is recommended. There is a nearby supermarket and Speightstown, the second largest town in Barbados is about five minutes away. Holetown is about 15 minutes away. Being on the West Coast beautiful beaches are within easy reach. The apartment is well appointed for a holiday rental with local backup by Terry & Rochelle. All in all, we had an excellent month there.

You can be met at the airport for approx £50 each way or make your own way up to the apt (with good driving instructions, very clear and simple!) with your chosen Car Hire. We have a very good contact for Car Hire, probably the best rates on the Island! The price for the rental of the car is £200 per week. The car is a 4 door Toyota saloon, air con, automatic, tinted windows If you would like traditional Bajan meals prepared for you at the apartment, we can arrange this for you.
