Why Bill Morgan chose Kauai

I have been returning to Kauai since first living here in 1975. Hale Pulelehu'a is located on the best beach on the entire island of Kauai. We designed Hale Pulelehu'a to appeal to our multi-generational family. The house is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the North Shore and is close to so many great activities. There are so many spectacular things to do within walking distance of the house that you may not even need to get in your car!

Livin' life in the neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

If you want to feel like a full time north shore Kauai resident then this is the property for you. Beautiful grounds, manicured and lush. Plenty of off street parking. Indoor and outdoor areas for relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere. Outdoor showers are a blessing with a large group, especially if there are childern. Helps you keep the sand out of the house, rinse off the salt water and sand or just take your full shower, nice.

The main house is so comfortable. Full kitchen, well stocked with dishes and small appliances. Always a few spices and condiments available also. And everything works great. Nice to have a washer and dryer to keep up with beach towels and and personal items. Living and dining area comfortable for 9 of us. Everyone had a nice room and bed. Nice baths as well.

The Tree House was perfect for the grandparents! Our own little get away spot. The fridge was a big help storing extra food and beverages for the group. Both the main house and the Tree House have stairs to the living areas.

And the beach is almost at your front door, go across the street and down a path and you are there. Lots of beach and snorkeling equipment in the toy storage area to pick and choose from, including an ice chest and cooler bags, beach chairs, boogie boards, it's all there waiting for you to pick what you need and go.

Our second visit to this property and we will be back

Fantastic house in a fantastic location!

  • 4 of 5

Hale Pulelehu'a is a delightful house tucked in a quiet neighborhood in Haena. It really is just a short walk to the beach and walking distance to Tunnels Beach. The house is spacious, clean, and well-kept. There were plenty of linens, beach towels, and a very well-stocked kitchen. The outdoor shower is lovely! Great spot on the North Shore and very good access to shops, restaurants, and hiking trails. The owner was easy to contact and responsive. No problems with anything in the house or on the grounds. I would highly recommend to friends and family looking for a quiet, authentic North Shore experience!

Amazing House - Amazing Stay

  • 5 of 5

We rented the house for three nights at the end of February. It was just the perfect place for us. Everything we needed was there and while the beach is not a swimming beach it is fabulous for watching the sun rise over Hanelei Bay. There was nobody on the beach in the mornings and we enjoyed walking it at dawn. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, so there is no touristy feel to it at all. The outdoor shower was a big hit with our group. The owner was very helpful and checked in with me several times leading up to the rental and once we arrived.

On our way from Poipu beach to the house we stopped at Wailea and rented kayaks. We followed the river to a popular anchoring stop and then hiked up to Wailea falls. We also hiked 2 miles into the Kalalau trail along the Na Pali coast and it was amazing. Even just hiking to the 0.5 mile viewpoint is worth the effort. It's steep but the views are incredible. The house is in a great location to reach the trail head, go on a day hike, and to see the sunset at the Na Pali coast. If you are not a hiker, at least drive to the trailhead at Ke'e Beach and see the sunset.

The only snag we hit with the house was the noisy trash pick-up at 5:00 am. Those sleeping in the bedrooms facing the road were upright in bed. Other than that - absolutely perfect!

Really great place!

  • 5 of 5

Bill's house is in excellent condition and super comfortable. It's got all the goodies and luxuries that we needed, including beach gear and a sweet kitchen. It's right across from the beach so we could pop down any time we felt like it - no driving and parking required. That North Shore of Kauai has no resorts and we felt like we had a private beach for the whole week. It's about as far north as you can go on Kauai, so the only downside is that if you want to do touristy stuff in Poipu then it's a bit of a haul to get down there, but whatev. It's kind of the point to be more remote. If you want manicured resort, go to Maui, right? Anyway, totally recommend.

My family could not have been more pleased with this property and its location! The owner was very gracious and helpful. Our children ages 8,9,11 & 13 made quick friends with the local children and were never bored!

Authentic and Classy Kauai North Shore Experience

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a fantastic week at this beautiful, comfortable home with three other couples. Its large, well-appointed kitchen was a perfect gathering place. Every morning we all filled our coffee mugs, watched the sunrise on the beach, and then returned to enjoy cooking breakfast together.

After hiking, canoeing in Hanalei, biking, and other adventures, we met for dinner and cocktails in the evening back in the kitchen or in the relaxing outdoor living room with gas grill where we cooked fresh fish.

The secluded beach really is just steps away, yet has views that are recognizable from movies such as, "South Pacific." The waves put on quite a show while we were there, and we already want to return to snorkel when the surf is calmer.

This home is spacious, clean, and has all the amenities you can imagine. It was perfect for four couples but would also be great for two couples with two children each, or three generations.

We can't wait to return!
