Why Bill Morgan chose Kauai

I have been returning to Kauai since first living here in 1975. Hale Pulelehu'a is located on the best beach on the entire island of Kauai. We designed Hale Pulelehu'a to appeal to our multi-generational family. The house is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the North Shore and is close to so many great activities. There are so many spectacular things to do within walking distance of the house that you may not even need to get in your car!

Great house for a family

  • 5 of 5

Our family of eight adults and two kids stayed at this house for a week. It exceeded our expectations. Each bedroom was super comfortable. The kitchen was so big and well stocked. We cooked dinner every night and even had a private chef come one night. The house was so clean and seemed very new and up to date. It was a 1 minute walk to the beach. Unfortunately the waves at the beach were too big for our group, because it was winter, so we usually drove to hanalei bay for beach time. The house is well stocked with ice chests, boogie boards, beach towels and many other beach accessories! Bill, the owner, was extremely accommodating and available to answer any questions we had. Without a doubt we would stay here again!

Owner's Response: I am glad you had an enjoyable stay and hope to return in the future. During winter swells on the North Shore swimming can be difficult and unsafe. There are many times during the winter where the surf is small enough to swim at the beach in front of Hale Pulelehu'a. Hanalei Bay is a great alternative for swimming during high swell times. Another enjoyable option is a ten minute beach walk to Tunnels for the relative calm of the lagoon. Bill

The place was Fantastic !

  • 5 of 5

This was my third stay here. This home is very clean, open, spacious, and well maintained. This place hits all the marks. It is as close to the beach without being on the beach. It has privacy. It has a nice breeze. I love the outside showers. The kitchen has a large area for cooking and preparing along with a long counter with bar chairs. The whole house has a great aloha feeling. You can hear the waves. We took the bikes(provided) to ride to the end of the road each morning. Walked to the beach for a swim. Great place to unwind and get refocused. It is a very low key area. I go to Hawaii often and I feel this home and location is one of the best. I highly recommend. Hopefully it does not get too hard to reserve. Thanks!

Better than expected in every way!

  • 5 of 5

Our group stayed over Thanksgiving for 9 days. In person the house is better than the pictures indicate. It's more spacious and well appointed with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable: beach towels and toys, kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking equipment, nice covered parking, and the guest house (tree house) was close but private. It really is 50 steps to the beach, and the beach was amazing and virtually private. A short 10 minute walk down the beach leads to tunnels beach, which is great snorkeling. The amazing views of the coast are had from all around! It's a short 5 minute drive to Hanalei--this quaint village on a beautiful sandy beach perfect for surfing, kayaking, and beach going. The owners were amazing to work with and communicated well throughout the process. We'll be back!

Amazing Beach Retreat

  • 5 of 5

This property is perfect for a large group. They do not lie when they say "steps from the beach". I love this part of the North Shore. It's real quiet and chill and only a couple miles away from the Napali Coast trail head. The house is very well stocked for anything needed for a beach day. I was very impressed with the guest house in the back which is equipped with its own outdoor shower. I honestly couldn't ask for anything more and Bill the owner was so easy to work with. This house is highly recommended.

Great for families and those who want to get away

  • 5 of 5

This is a great clean well appointed house with plenty of room and good communal space for families to hang out. Had everything we needed to both nest and explore. Very beautiful setting on quiet dirt road street, with access to beautiful beach across the street (but a little too choppy for swimming when we visited). A great place to stay if you want to explore Napali coast - 10 mins from end of the road beach and hiking trail. A little isolated for those who want to be in the swing of things - 15 min drive over 7 one lane bridges back to Hanalei, but we got used to that (and a little coffee shop and bar are located at the other end of the dirt road). They had high chair and pack n play which was great. We did try shipping some baby items but they got sent back after reaching the island so don't count on that. Overall, very pleasant and satisfying stay.

Absolutely Incredible House

  • 5 of 5

A group of 9 young professionals travelled from all over the US to stay in this house for a friend's wedding. We had an absolutely fabulous time. Both the main house and the "tree house" were beautiful and exactly as described. Everything we needed was provided, including bedding, towels, washer/dryer, and even some watersports equipment. The location couldn't be better -- the house is right across the street from a spectacular beach and it's about a 10 minute drive to the nearest town. The owner and property manager were very responsive and made our stay perfect in every way. Seriously, this house is absolutely incredible!
