About Colleen Erickson

This historic log home has been in the FORD family since the 80's. It was completely remodeled in 2011 & 2012.

Why Colleen Erickson chose Glacier Park

This property offers a corner lot that has no neighbors to the south or east except the golfers and the bears. Smile. There is a wonderful view out each window and easy walking distance to everything you would need...restaurants, art galleries, store. Cook in the gourmet kitchen or BBQ on the lovely covered porch after a day of enjoying what Glacier has to offer.

What makes this house unique

Location, location, location. We have blended the old with the new in a cozy 'feel-right-at-home' environment.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Many thanks for the warm accommodations. We were pleasantly surprised during our stay at the stock of various items you kept. Absolutely wonderful. Our large group easily fit in the Candy Kitchen and we were all so comfortable. The house was beautiful inside and out, and the lawn was wonderfully kept. The kids loved it! Thank you for everything!

Beautiful house

  • 5 of 5

We had great time in Candy Kitchen resort house. The house is conveniently located in East Glacier park, close to everything. The house is modernly remodeled and we found everything we need. Our host is super helpful and provides lots of info and help. We also recommend Glacier Gateway Outfitters which is a few blocks away from the house. The horseback riding experience was supreme. And the Glacier park is impressive as well. Overall our family had great time! Thank you again for this wonderful house and all the help!

We loved The Candy Kitchen!

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of 4 couples looking for a place to stay as we explored the east side of Glacier National Park. The house was about 45 minutes south of the St Mary's entrance and a pretty drive. Colleen met us at the house when we arrived and gave us a tour of the house and reviewed its background. The home had everything we needed and more. The complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. The house was prefect for making group breakfasts and we even cooked a really nice dinner one night rather than going out because we just enjoyed being there and being together as a group to talk about the day. It was nice having the big open area for all of us. Although we were concerned that it did not have air conditioning, the mornings and evenings were cool and beautiful and there were fans for every room . One bedroom did not have a closet but we were fine without it . Colleen explained that during the remodeling, they gave up the closet to make the bathroom bigger which was a nice plus. We also enjoyed the back porch and the view with our wine in the evenings. The home was exceptionally clean and obviously very well cared for. I would definitely recommend this home!

Clean, Peaceful and Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We just completed a wonderful and relaxing eight night stay at Candy Kitchen. The house was ready to go upon our late evening arrival and the property manager was nearby in the event we had local questions. She is friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable with rich colors and a rustic feel. We cooked nearly all of our meals and never lacked for any utensil or other kitchen supplies - the house is fully ready for occupancy. We enjoyed table games on the large dining table.

From a location standpoint, the accessibility to Glacier National Park and the Two Medicine area is fantastic. We will stay here again on our next trip to Montana.

Owner's Response: It was our pleasure at the Candy Kitchen to meet your family and help in anyway we could. So fun to look out and see people doing yoga on the lawn. Your dad and mom are the sweetest. Your whole family is wonderful. Four generations! I look forward to your next visit!

Beautiful home - perfect location

  • 5 of 5

This home is even lovlier than the photos. The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable and the kitchen has absolutely everything. We even found a tiered cake plate to use for our birthday celebration! Graet location for a home base while exploring Glacier Park. It is easy walking distace from Glacier Park Lodge and the Amtrak station. Beatiful views - both land and sky. The stars are amazing and a few early risers were treated to a double rainbow on our last morning. The house manager, Colleen, was very warm and welcoming. Thank you!
