Life on the farm is fun! Located on our 30 acre timber and pasture farm land, this country farm house is simple, clean, conveniently located and perfect for a family vacation to see and do all the sites and activities in the Flathead Valley.
This 1,800 square foot country house resides right off the highway and has everything you need for a great stay. Enjoy the two living rooms at separate ends of the house for potential parent time separate from the young kids; or two families having some private time. Both living rooms have TV’s and plenty of seating area. The open and clean kitchen and dining area brings everyone together. Enjoy the mountain or timberland views from the windows inside or while resting on the covered porch. Don't be surprised to see wildlife in the front yard eating the lawn - or the flowers!
You can’t beat the convenience and easy access to everything the Flathead Valley this house has to offer. It is only minutes from downtown Columbia Falls or Whitefish for shopping and there are fantastic views of Big Mountain (Whitefish Mountain Resort) and mountain peaks of Glacier National Park. Here are some driving times to local attractions from this central valley location:
• 35 minutes to Glacier National Park
• 4 minutes to the resort downtown of Whitefish
• 15-20 minutes to the shopping and dining of Kalispell
• 10 minutes to Columbia Falls, gateway to Glacier National Park
• 40-45 minutes to Flathead Lake, largest freshwater lake West of the Mississippi
• 20 minutes to the top of Whitefish Mountain Resort
• 15 minutes to the airport
Bring the whole family or meet with friends! There is a queen-sized bed with gel memory foam topper in one bedroom. The other bedroom has a full bed with a memory foam mattress. A finished attic is a great hide-away for the kids and is furnished with two twin beds, along with another twin mattress (with no boxspring) on a frame. Also in the back living room is a queen-sized Murphy wall bed with a memory foam mattress.

This property is very special to us. We lived in the home when we were first married years ago - at which time we gutted and remodeled the inside. It was home during the birth of our first child and possesses many wonderful & fond memories. We later moved away and rented the house out, only to miss it so much that we returned ten years later and lived in the house again with our now large family. But it was worth watching the joy in the children's eyes being on the farm with all the adventures it has to offer. It was during this second move back into the home that the additional living room and bathroom were constructed to accomodate all of us. We truly hope you enjoy your stay in the home as much as we have loved it all these years, and as much as we enjoy our life on our farm!

This property was ideal for our two families (6 ppl) vacationing in the GNP area. We met Dave, the owner, upon arrival and he gave us a warm welcome as well as many tips on where to eat, what to see and do, etc. We chatted w/him numerous times during our stay as his home is on the same property - great guy!
My main concern w/rentals is always cleanliness and I can assure that this home is immaculate! Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen is available, including spices and coffee. The complimentary bottle of wine and basket of snacks was much appreciated by our family :) There were ample towels/washcloths, plenty of paper towel and bath tissue, laundry and hand soaps...basically everything we needed was here.
We really appreciated the laundry facilities, as well as the super comfy beds! And the sunrises from the front porch were breath-taking!
This home is located just outside of Whitefish, which made trips to the grocery store quick - less than 5 minutes. Downtown Whitefish was also a quick trip and offered lots of dining options. We enjoyed MacKenzie River Grill, Craggy Range & The Great Northern. One evening we ventured into Columbia Falls w/family for some great BBQ at The Back Room - another short drive.
The entrance to GNP at West Glacier wasn't far - about 30 minutes. We hiked the Avalanche Lake Trail where we encountered a bear, Hidden Lake Trail at Logan Pass where we saw mountain goats and marmot, and St. Mary Falls Trail where we were lucky enough to see a moose. The highlight of the trip for our daughter was paddle-boarding on Lake McDonald...highly recommended!! We visited GNP in August, so the park/surrounding towns were very busy. If you're visiting/hiking Logan Pass, be sure to arrive before 9am or after 5pm as parking is limited. Tip: we left this rental property at 7am, arrived at the pass at 8:30am to obtain parking, it filled up shortly after we arrived.

This property was immaculate when we walked in the door, and instantly felt like home! Our family enjoyed the space indoors, as well as outdoors! There was a porch for morning time, and a back patio and yard for outdoor meals and yard games. The kitchen was very well stocked with the supplies we needed for making meals, which saved us so much money. I highly recommend this home for your vacation - thank you for making our vacation to Montana perfect!
It was the perfect house for our family to stay in. Had everything we needed to prepare our meals and relax and enjoy our vacation. It was centrally located for all of the local attractions including Glacier National Park. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation place.
We enjoyed our 5-night stay in David and Anita's lovely home. Our large family had plenty of room for playing, enjoying meals together, and restful sleep. The house is conveniently located close to awesome Glacier National Park, fun Whitefish City Beach, shopping, and other places that made our stay unforgettable. And my grandsons loved the play yard and the park across the highway. This is definitely a family friendly home and we would love to stay here again, the next time we are in beautiful Montana.
The rental is conveniently located to Whitefish and Glacier Park. There is plenty of living space within the house, and the porch provides beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. It is a good value for family lodging near plenty of recreation, and I would recommend it to family and friends who were looking for a place to stay in the north end of the Flathead valley.
David and Anita were quick to respond to any requests and have kept the property clean and well maintained. We were especially grateful for the high quality laundry facilities in this property.
We enjoyed our visit to Lula's Cafe and Sweet Peaks Ice Cream shop in Whitefish.
If golfing, boating and skiing are top's on your list, this home is located in the perfect spot to do all those things the valley has to offer, especially in the Whitefish area. Views of the ski resort are right out the living room window and it's fun to see the mountain lights during the winter night skiing. Come try it out!
