Chestertown House Rental Photos and Description

Built in the early 1900's, this home was extra sleeping quarters for the Blythewood Island Hotel. It became a family home in 1955 and just recently restored to its original beauty and charm. Located on Blythewood Island (yes, there is a road) and looking out in all directions to lake frontage. Enjoy quiet nights at the campfire on the beach or on the porch swing. A huge stone fireplace is the centerpiece in an Adirondack Great Room. The kitchen is fully equipped, washer and dryer, 2 flat screen TV's with cable, two air conditioners, WiFi availability, nearby marina to rent a boat, dock at property, waterfront in back and front, privately owned (owners) beach with firepit, gradual lake front, great for swimming, fishing and boating. The Stone Lodge would be great for family reunions, weddings, long or short stays all year long for all seasons. Summertime rentals by the week. Winter, spring and fall rentals have a minimum 2-night stay.

About Karen Burka

My husband's family purchased this amazing property, Blythewood Island (yes really an island with a road) in 1955. This home in the early 1900's was once the extra sleeping quarters for the Grand Blythewood Island Hotel. My inlaws purchased the home from a Great Uncle and conformed it into a home of which my husband was raised. After their passing, in order to continue the tradition in the family, we have converted the home by completely remodeling and restoring to it's original charm. The Great Room is only enhanced by the amazing large stone fireplace. Each room is tastefully decorated in Adirondack Flair.

Why Karen Burka chose Lake George Area

The location is superb and allows for memorable Adirondack experiences. Loon Lake wraps itself around this grand Lodge and enables our guests to enjoy rich fun filled water and relaxing adventure.

What makes this house unique

The lake front is waiting for you. The beach, swimming, fishing, floating, all right there.

The pictures and the description do not do this amazing listing justice!!

Rented this house for a guys weekend in the woods- hanging, swimming, rafting (which was only a few minutes away), BBQ'ing, and enjoying the fresh outdoors. When we arrived and took our tour of the house, we were in shock! The pictures on the listing do not do this any justice! The house is absolutely beautiful. Every turn you take the homeowners have thought of what you would be need or be looking for. The "Welcome" Letter that was waiting with all sorts of different information about the Island and the house was informative and very helpful. The home was beyond comfortable and definitely large enough for 10! "Buddy"- the Yellow Lab on the island who loves to great everyone, became our friend for the weekend! Such an awesome place with every and any amenity you could've thought of! Not only would I highly recommend this place to all, we have talked about planning on visiting again every few years! It was so relaxing and so much fun! Thank you Najer Realty for the awesome home that you share with others!
