Steve Williams purchased this House in 2016
Why Steve Williams chose Southeast Washington
We love this home for three main reasons: 1) The Location: It's walking distance to so many great places! Barracks Row and Eastern Market are popular and fun hang out spots through out the year. The National Mall, though slightly further, is also within walking distance. Even the essentials are close by- grocery stores, markets and pharmacies. Anything not in walking distance can be easily accessed by Metro, as we are just a short walk away from the Potomac Ave. Metro. Check out our location guide for more details on nearby bars, restaurants and entertainment. 2) It's New and Comfortable: It's a 2016 renovation which comes with an open floor plan, beautiful granite in the kitchen, state of the art appliances and security system and fantastic showers. The furniture is decorated for your comfort while still having a nice modern look. 3) It's versatile: It's size and lay out makes it great for families, business stays and groups of friends. There is ample communal space but still has private bathrooms and sleeping arrangements.

Fantastic place to stay!
We enjoyed the place . Close to center with monuments and access to all necessities around with available street parking for the car. House is well maintained and has all essentials. Steve was available at short notice for anything. Highly recommended.
Easy trip to great restaurants and Metro!
The house was exactly what we were looking for! It was a short walk to great food and the Metro! It had everything we needed in the property! Thx!
Great location, easy access to Metro, grocery store. Had breakfast there every morning, only problem was no teaspoons. One other hiccup: woke up one morning to see city workers demolishing sidewalk in front of condo. Quick communication with owner, no worries; by time we came back, newly paved sidewalk in place.
Steve and Lisa were very accommodating hosts. Diverse neighborhood, walking distance to the Capitol. Perfectly located to use public transportation. 1/2 block to bus and 1 block to train.
There were 2 of us staying in this 2 story row house. It was a perfect size for us.
The house was everything we expected and more. Location is perfect for a visit to DC to explore all the museums, memorials, etc. The neighborhood is being revitalized and there are plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from within walking distance. Being only 2 blocks from the Metro was a huge plus for us. The house was clean, comfortable and just the right size. Looking forward to a return visit.
Handy location, with some shortcomings
The two couples in our party stayed 5 nights. The convenience of the Metro stop was fantastic, but for the cost, the unit was cheaply/sparsely furnished and equipped, especially for cooking and serving...even lacked kitchen towels and wash cloths. We fiddled with the heating/cooling system, but turned down an opportunity to have management fix it since we thought we had it figured out...wrong...so we were hot. We probably should have shopped earlier.
The Capitol Hill neighborhood is named for its proximity to the Capitol building. It spans the eastern side of the Capitol from the beautiful Anacostia River to the south through the fabulous H Street corridor to the north. It is filled with colorful row houses and iconic DC streets. The heart of Capitol Hill is a strip of bars, restaurants and shops along 8th Street known as Barracks Row, which is an 8 minute walk away. It is named for the Marine Barracks that also spans the street. Also nearby is Eastern Market, DC's largest indoor/outdoor market. The market consists of everything from local art to fresh fruits, veggies and seafood. It's a great way to spend a Saturday morning!
