|Space||1,100 sq. ft.|
|Minimum Stay||3 - 7 nights|
Survey a heavenly scene from your perch three floors above glittering Caribbean Sea and St. Lawrence Gap in Barbados!
Welcome to Apt 14, "Almost Heaven," on the third floor of the popular St Lawrence Beach Condominiums, located in the heart of the famous St Lawrence Gap.
Settle in at the plush outdoor dining table on the balcony and watch sailboats slide by, while white-capped turquoise waves break against the jetty. (This jetty, by the way, is for the exclusive use of residents and guests at St. Lawrence Gap Condos—it’s a popular sunbathing spot, and a romantic place for sunset!)
About the king master bedroom: its best feature is that you’ll wake on your giant bed facing a view of the sparkling morning sea. Step to your patio from your bedroom to enjoy the start of your day, or throw open the bedroom windows and head back to bed. On a cool night, you can leave the windows open and let a sea breeze carry you into sleep. And on Sunday mornings, Bajan church bells float their soft notes up to greet you.
ABOUT THE ST. LAWRENCE BEACH CONDOS
The St. Lawrence Beach Condominiums complex is small-scale and intimate, with 4 floors (Almost Heaven is one floor from the top), an immaculate pool surrounded by sea-facing lounge chairs, and a small private beach with just enough space to sprawl out under a palm tree and watch the aqua waves roll in.
Two larger and famously beautiful beaches, Dover Beach and Sandy Beach, are both just a short walk away. You can also walk from the condo to a collection of restaurants serving all kinds of cuisine, from traditional Bajan to Thai and Indian, and a grocery store in case you’d rather cook in.
If you do cook at home, you’ll be rewarded with an outstanding view while you dine on the balcony. No need to hope for the best seat in the house for sunset—it’s all yours.
ABOUT THE ST. LAWRENCE GAP
The famous St. Lawrence Gap, on the south shore of Barbados, brims with personality. Restaurants, colorful street vendors, friendly locals, other island visitors, little shops, a convenient small market, and two gorgeous large beaches are at hand. You don’t need a car at all in The Gap (although it's fun to explore the island - either with a car or by taxi).
Contact me today to book your vacation at Almost Heaven! If this condo is booked for your chosen dates, I’m happy to show you a collection of wonderful properties with equally dramatic sea views.
My goal is your flawless vacation in lovely Barbados! Let me know what I can do to make it so :)
Best regards from paradise,
The photo of of me here was taken on a sunset catamaran cruise on the south coast of Barbados. I'm dining on sushi and drinking wine and, as you can tell, enjoying life in paradise.
I'm an American married to a Barbadian ("Bajan") gentleman (in the white shirt) and love sharing *my* beautiful island with visitors the world over. Come to find water sports galore or come to find perfect peace ... you get to determine what makes the "perfect" vacation. Bring your family or bring friends or plan a romantic getaway (oh, how many honeymooners have we seen here?! My goodness!).
Barbados is casual but not so casual as beach resorts in the US; Barbados was a colony of Britain's and still bears a bit of formality in demeanor and dress. People speak English, yes, but with an accent that even I, having lived on the island since 2008, have some trouble making out sometimes. We drive on the "other" side of the street here (to be clear, the left side) and sometimes as I drive around our curvy roads through lush greenery I feel I'm in England. I love the slight "foreignness" of the island ... that makes it exotic and exciting to explore and get to know.
Please consider visiting the island known as "The Jewel of the Caribbean." I have a small vacation rentals company representing 13 properties on the south coast and every single one of them with a jaw-dropping sea view. I'd love to help you have the vacation of your dreams here ... or simply answer some initial questions you may have about the island.
Best regards from Barbados,
Greg (my husband) and I own two beautiful beachfront properties in Barbados and I represent another dozen owned by others. Apt 14, "Almost Heaven," is owned by a Barbadian gentleman who loves hearing from me about how much his guests have enjoyed his property and its amazing location and sea views.
Location is the #1 feature of this property and of all the properties I represent in Barbados. Located smack dab on the beautiful aqua sea and in the midst of fantastic restaurants, shops, and a handy small market, you won't want for anything and can have a fantastic vacation without even renting a car.
The apartment itself is quiet, peaceful, and high up enough to provide particularly panoramic sea views. Waking to the sea each morning right outside the master bedroom is a treat you'll pack in your memories and revisit often.
Thank you for taking a look. Please contact me if I can help answer any questions or show you this and other properties that might be ideal for your Barbados vacation.
BARBADOS, THE SOUTH COAST, & THE ST. LAWRENCE GAP
The south coast of Barbados is known for its beautiful white beaches, the famous Oistins Fish Fry on Friday nights, and its friendly vibe where you'll find locals (called Bajans) and tourists alike.
The St. Lawrence Gap ("gap" means "street") is the area on the south coast that is a favorite destination for both locals and tourists. Lots of quaint small businesses, delicious restaurants, colorful shops, and more—all within walking distance of your condo. A car is not necessary; a taxi to and from the airport is likely all you’ll need.
We are experts on all things Barbados, so feel free to ask about the must-see places and activities to explore during your trip. I know your holiday time is limited—I will do everything I can to help you make the most of your stay on the Caribbean island that boasts the most repeat visitors, the island known as "The Jewel of the Caribbean."
